My favorite coldstones location! Apart from being in a nice area, this store is always going above and beyond no matter how crazy busy they get (especially during holidays)! And they are also super kid friendly (the one thing I look for when we go out to have a nice time). My kids always ask for toppings and change their minds a million times om the flavor, the cone, everything lol and they always take care of it without any stress and just with a good attitude. Extremely disappointed by this location. Took my mom and three kids. As we approached , worker said we needed to order online, I did. ( couldn't use my coupon though for the buy one get one ) order says be ready for 650, ( about thirty mins from when I ordered ) places order went inside and asked worker will it be ready for the time on the ticket or should I wait here. He said oh it's 5 mins. I said okay I'm waiting right here , he said he would run it out to me. I waited and waited finally went inside to ask him what's going on. I have been going to this Coldstone for awhile. Last week, when I went, I ordered my ice cream in a waffle bowl. The guy told me that they were out. It was only 7:45pm. I looked over at the area where they make the waffle cones, and saw that they had some waffle cone batter already mixed in a bowl waiting to be poured. I asked the guy if they could make one, because I would wait. He smiled and laughed at me. I never really got a direct "no". I was kinda bummed, since I love their waffle bowls. Here is where I get disappointed... I go outside to eat my ice cream with my boyfriend when my boyfriend points out a guy walking with his ice cream put into a waffle bowl. This guy was standing two people BEHIND me in line. Are you serious? My boyfriend told me he would go in and say something. Wow, I should call this place "Covid Creamery!" The store was very dirty and they had about 10 people behind the cramped counter, all bumping into each other and talking over each other. I get it, they might've just had a rush. It happens but at the time it was dead. Except no one was cleaning and about 3-4 of the employees had kept trying to take my order all at once. It was so chaotic and rushed! Out of the 3 or 4 employees talking to me at once, one had kept completely pulling down his mask to talk to me (more than a few times and directly over the ice cream). I had also noticed a few other employees wearing their masks incorrectly as well. I had ordered 3 things. Two of the 3 were done incorrectly and I've never been more stressed out just getting ice cream in my life. It was sooo loud in there that I couldn't even hear a word they were saying and I was the ONLY customer in the store. There is no reason there should've been that many employees behind the counter with no cohesion between them all. The ice cream looked partially melted and I had seen one employee dump an entire cup of melted and mixed ice cream back into the ice cream bin, inside the freezer. Again, there were no other customers in the store. I had felt VERY unsafe eating this ice cream. It went into the trash. Waste of $15. Luckily both my husband and I are vaccinated but our daughter isn't so if she gets sick, I'll know the first place to look. Do not go here! Unsanitary, dirty, melted ice cream, poor manager organization and tasking, poor staff training, poor covid procedures, etc. To top it off, as I was leaving, a family of about 5 walked in with only ONE of them wearing masks (not the adult, teen, nor young child). Because my family was at home sick, I had my mom pick up the order and drop them off on our porch so we could celebrate my sons second birthday. One item was missing in the order. I called the store four times to try and rectify and either get my money back or pick up the replacement item and every time I was told to leave my phone number and that the manager would call me back. To this day, I have still not heard from the manager nor have I received any credit for my missing items. I asked Nicole if she could rinse off a spoon so we could avoid any cross contamination and she went above and beyond. Really, for an Ice Cream Chain store it certainly meets up to my high expectations when it comes to Ice cream and sure as heak puts poor little Baskin N Robbins to shame. I have frequented this place a few times over the years and have always been impressed with the consistent, quality and flavor of there ice cream, as well as the friendly, enduring service I seem to encounter on my visits. When I'm trying to be good, I will get a small of there Guiltless Sweet Cream ice cream with cinnamon and when I m in my splurge mode, I will order either the regular Sweet cream or the Cake Batter concoction accompanied with thick, moist dense chunks of yellow cake mixed with in....yes....so good Consistency is as always, dense yet smooth and creamy and just dancing with sweet guilty flavor. Since I am not fortunate to live close to Ice Cream havens such as the famous Mitchell's of Fenton's (which again is probably a good thing) Cold Stone is where it's at when your out in this neck of the woods. Location is convenient, service is friendly as well as accommodating and the quality and execution of there Ice Cream is an absolute winner in my book! We have been having birthday cakes from cold stone for years! This I ordered a cake this past week - filling out the information on the website I was able to choose mix ins (candy) uuh yes of course! Also they used to do a peanut butter frosting so delicious! There was nowhere to add a "peanut butter frosting please". So I called the store the next morning- and was told that it would not a birthday cake that I ordered- that it would now be a custom cake, with a significant up charge I guess it would be a good thing to make it clear on the form- after I was asked if I wanted candy and I made my decisions - but not received. The cake came with 1/2 cake on bottom and 1/2 ice cream on top. Not impressed- cake was a little dry. So make sure you order your cake accordingly- $40 for a cake that was "eh" read more
