I visited Da Nang after meeting Billy, the owner, in the ED (he's a Navy veteran with a hilariously sarcastic sense of humor). He talked so highly of his restaurant that I had to bring my family and WOW, he was right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean, cozy and well-kept (even the bathroom!).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was amazing , flavorful broth, tender meats, fresh ingredients and generous portions without being overwhelming. We loved every dish. The staffs are super friendly and Marcel took great care of us. What really touched me was Billy's kindness. I brought my small service dog, who prefers sitting on my lap but due to health rules he had to be on the floor. Billy literally offered to sit in his car with my dog so I could enjoy my meal. That level of hospitality is rare. Overall, this place has delicious food, great service and an owner who truly cares. I highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

OMG!!!! This was the best place I've eaten at in a very VERY long time!! Not only was every dish, drink but the service was excellent!! Our server was amazing he even recommended a dish since i couldn't decide and what an excellent delicious plate it was!! Definitely will eat her many many more times and to think we were going to the all you could eat place and thankfully it was closed!!!!! Our first choice will always be Da NANG thank you so much for a delicious meal ever!!!

    Pad tai with nuts

Chef should have pulled the bone out of the chicken piece in my "pad tai" prior to serving it. Was shocked that a 2 inch bone never got caught! Attendant stated "sorry". Oh well ! Food tasted "ok" and will still go back again. Pretty good for Vietnam food.

Came in craving something comforting and this spot delivered. We started with the spring rolls and really enjoyed the peanut sauce. The meat was just slightly on the dry/chewy side, but still flavorful and enjoyable overall. The bun bo hue though?? SO good. Perfect balance of spice and richness without being overpowering. Also tried the bun rieu and was pleasantly surprised -- the meatballs were moist, tender, and well-seasoned. Overall, really solid Vietnamese food with bold flavors and comforting vibes. I'd absolutely come back to work my way through more of the menu. For drinks, the young coconut was incredibly fresh and naturally sweet. We also ordered the soda chanh muối without sugar and I'm so glad they offer that option -- sometimes you just want something refreshing and bright without it being overly sweet. Overall, really solid Vietnamese food with bold flavors and comforting vibes. I'd absolutely come back.

I decided to try DA NANG today and I'm so glad I did. The service was friendly, like they know me- and fast too. I got the garlic noodles, they were great but I'm gonna try something different next time.

    Chicken Wings

We found Da Nang Tourane Vietnamese through Yelp during the tail-end of our hike at Contra Costa Reservoir when we were beginning to get hungry. On Yelp it has raving reviews, so although a tad skeptical, we gave this place a try. The restaurant is located inside a plaza, so no need to worry about parking. Seating is free for all, at least before peak hour when there were seats available. We came for an early lunch, maybe around 11:20ish and a third or half of the tables were occupied already. I'm guessing this place gets a lot of foot traffic. For how old the restaurant is, it is impressively clean - my partner was amazed, haha. Between the two of us, we ordered Chicken Wings (5pcs) to share. My partner got the Pho Dac Biet (medium) and I got the Bun Bo Hue (small). Our order came really quickly too, despite the amount of customers they already had. The chicken wings were super crispy on the outside. Their batter was neither too coarse or fine - perfectly in the middle, and the meat? Juicy and tender! They were so good. As for my Bun Bo Hue, I'd like to preface that I don't usually opt for noodle bowls because they usually come with too much and it's not great to bring home as leftovers. But I'm glad they have three different sizes to choose from for these noodle bowls! I opted for small size Bun Bo Hue and it was perfect ratio. Some noodles, but plenty of delicious toppings. My favorite would have to be the Cha Lua and the tendon piece. The Cha Lua took on the flavor of the broth and the tendon was so soft and fell apart so easily. As for my partner's pho, he said it was solid. Service was really nice and as I said before, the place is very clean. We both came out feeling satisfied. If we are ever around the area, we would definitely come back.

    Small bun rieu
    Serena J.

Stopped here on the way back from cherry picking in Brentwood. Originally someone had proposed a different Vietnamese restaurant, but I found this as an alternative that looked a little more authentic. Loved my bun rieu - the small size was perfect for me since I was somewhat stuffed with cherries. Pork and shrimp spring rolls were also good. A big miss was the mi quang - the noodles were stuck together :( but otherwise, we were pretty satisfied.

#24 Bun Rieu (Northern Style Specialty Noodle Soup Bun Rieu)
    Alexander W.

The spring rolls and noodle soup were very good and felt authentic. The meat in the spring roll is flavorful, and the Bun Rieu had a strong seafood taste. I liked the variety of different dishes here. The restaurant looked all right inside, nothing that stood out. Service was okay. You need to pay at the front, and it isn't very easy to flag down a waiter.

    Beef vermicelli
    Mei L.

Ordered through Doordashed to be delivered in Brentwood. For the price and speed of delivery, definitely a fan of Da Nang. I OPTED for a beef vermicelli with fried roll add on and it was solid. I do wish they included some Sriracha packs and the fried rolls had a little more pepper in it, but overall everything was tasty.

    #3 Salad-in-a-roll aka Salad Rolls w/Shrimp & Pork

This is the best pho; flavor and price wise that you can get in Antioch Brownwood or Oakley. They offer small and large sizes which is super convenient, especially if you don't normally eat big portions. Pho is not really good to take home so finishing it at the restaurant is the best move. We were seated very quickly, by friendly staff. The restaurant is really big, and can definitely accommodate for a bigger party. We were able to get hot water for my mom who gets cold quickly, which I appreciate. We started off with the summer rolls, which were a 10/10! We got the shrimp and pork rolls. The marinated pork had an addictive savory taste, and the shrimp was of good quality. Great balance of meat to greens ratio. My sister and I got the rare steak pho, which is always very consistently good. They're very generous with the meat, and the meat isn't too tough so it doesn't seem like it had freezer burn or anything. The soup could use more green onions, but there are plenty of white onions that were thinly sliced so I was satisfied. The broth has good flavor, and does not taste watered down, the noodles were not over or undercooked and it was just overall a great meal. My mother said the chicken pho was not as good as the beef pho, so take that into consideration when ordering. Seems like the beef broth was just overall a richer flavor.

#20 Pho Dac Biet - RAW Beef & Beef Combination Pho

Overdue review! Since moving to the area, this has become one of our go-to spots especially for hangovers or afters when friends and I have had a long eventful night prior. Overall, it's a great place to eat with friends. 10/10. The service is fast, and it's self seating with menus already available on the tables, which makes everything easy and casual. I usually order beef combo pho, along with appetizers like egg rolls or spring rolls, and a jackfruit smoothie. It's actually the only place in the area that offers a jackfruit smoothie, which makes it stand out even more for me. The chili oil is also really good, not watered down or boring like at some other places. My father in law loves this spot too and always raves about it, as if we don't know about this spot, even though we do already know about it, which is pretty funny. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's his favorite place just for casual family dinner and a usual spot for birthday celebration lunch/dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They accept both card and cash, but there's a discount for cash payments, so I definitely recommend bringing cash if you can. It's also very family friendly. Overall, the food is consistently great and never disappointing. It's become one of our reliable regular spots.

Fried Chicken Wings with Lemon Pepper Dipping Sauce - 8/10
    Ramil N.

My wife and I stopped by Da Nang Vietnamese Restaurant and overall had a great experience with several solid dishes. We started with the 10-piece fried chicken wings with lemon pepper dipping sauce. The wings came out hot and crispy, with good flavor--nothing particularly unique, but definitely enjoyable. 8/10. My wife ordered the Charbroiled Pork Chops combo. She said the pork chops were a little dry, but still tasted good. 8/10. I ordered the Bún Riêu (Northern Style Specialty Noodle Soup), which I've been craving ever since my favorite version at Mangosteen Restaurant in San Francisco. I've tried many places since then and none have come close--until now. Da Nang's Bún Riêu tasted very similar to Mangosteen's, flavorful and delicious. My only complaint is that it was served a bit warm instead of piping hot, but the flavor was spot on. 9/10 for temperature. Taste is 10/10 We also shared the Bird's Nest (crispy egg noodles topped with sautéed beef and prawns). Another delicious dish. Next time, I want to try the version with calamari, fish balls, mock crab, and shrimp. 9/10. Lastly, we had the Chicken Fried Rice. The flavor was there, but the chicken itself was a bit dry. I'd try a different protein next time. 7/10. Overall, Da Nang Vietnamese Restaurant delivered great flavors and satisfying dishes, with a few small areas for improvement. We'll definitely be back to try more items!

But this place right here is on point! I've tried their food a couple times and it was really delicious. So I decided to come visit in person. Their Soups/Ramens are super flavorful and delicious. Fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked veggies & noodles. I was really craving a good green tea because it was cold. They had a really good Jasmine Tea that was so robust in flavor. The steamed dumplings are really good too! There was nobody inside sitting at tables, which made me a little nervous at first. But I noticed they were getting a lot of DoorDash Orders and Phone Orders. The restaraunt itself is really beautiful inside and very clean. I know some yelpers have complained about parking. But it's really not that bad. Even if you did had to park down the street, this place is worth it. Bathrooms are clean as well. Service was slightly slow, but we didn't mind at all. Because we could tell it was a family run business, with very few people working in back. Ming was a really nice gentleman. He was handling a lot of things at once. But he was on top of everything and super friendly. 15% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. But I didn't mind because the prices were fairly reasonable for the quantity & quality of food. I ended up paying an extra tip because they were so amazing. This place gives you a feeling of comfort food. Great ambiance and great milk teas as well. I really hope this place gets a lot of business because it is definitely a hidden gem. I will be back more frequently. Hopefully with a lot more of my family members. Thanks Skyview Noodle & Tea we really love your place!

I also got the grilled shrimp on the side, and my husband ordered the short rib--both were really tasty. The service was great as well. The server was quick to assist us, even though he seemed to be the only one working at the time. I also liked their menu board--it looked modern and well put together, not cheap at all. On top of that, the prices were very affordable for the amount and quality of food we got. If I had one critique, it would be that the place could use a bit of updating.
