Unfortunately not a fan of the ice cream here. I've heard that the ice cream is amazing but not so much for me- just way to creamy and not in a good way, as if its made of cheap whole milk. Went there Friday night 8/22 with my 12 year old daughter and the line was out the door. Not sure who was working during other reviewers comments but the girls were all extremely friendly and hustling to keep the line moving. Aimee waited on us and was great; friendly and huge portions. Even my daughter commented on how nice the girl was as we were walking to our car. It is a bit expensive but we will both be eating this at least over three nights (after dinner of course). I visited this place last week and ordered a one scoop on a sugar cone. The ice cream was a tiny golf ball and they charged me 4.95$ I was so disappointed! Kept thinking I could've gotten more ice cream at a Walmart or Rite Aid Counter (thrifty ice cream). The servers were not very friendly either. If you come to this place you have to order a topping on your ice cream cause that's how they fill it up and make it look bigger. Otherwise, you will leave unsatisfied like me! read more

I've never written a negative review, but my visit tonight to this Cold Stone deserves one. I don't know the problem was, but service was unreasonably slow. There were two people working, which should have been enough. There was also someone working in the back who did not come help. The two servers seemed to be moving in super slow motion, and seemed not to care at all about their jobs or the customers. Baaaaad attitudes! Also, the place was a wreck. Stuff everywhere behind the counter... The customers were very unhappy. Very unpleasant all around. I took my son there today, as I often do, and the employees there are top notch...they go above and beyond with their excellent service !! My husband went in and placed an order for my mothers day sweets and he tells me from the moment the walked in he was greeted with a smile and he felt so relaxed. He couldn't decide what flavor to choose so Ms. Jackie helped him with no problem until he decided on the most deeeelish cake, the Tall Dark and Handsome (didn't know they named it after my husband LOL). When it was time to pick up my order on the busy mothers day he was once again quickly greeted with a smile and helped right away. Service here is horrible. When we first walked in the lights were turned down low so it looked like it was closed. We waited for 10 minutes before two employees walked out from the back. Went to this location in hopes of acquiring a banana split when I asked the associate for one I was given the response, " we do not sell banana split and honestly I do not know what a banana split it". I wish I had read these reviews before venturing out here for ice cream. I go to Cold Stone at least once if not twice a week due to my pregnant craving for ice cream. Decided to try this location because it's technically closer than the one I usually go to. Terrible mistake. This shop is the sorriest excuse for a business I have seen in quite a while. The three gentleman working were rude, dismissive, and clearly irritated that we showed up to order ice cream. I called prior to coming in and the phone rang and rang and rang, though when I walked in all three of them were standing there. They could not get our order right and were irritated by every request we made even though it was just simple things like may we have a top for our ice cream etc. They barely speak to you and the one of them who did spoke so low that I had to ask him three times to repeat himself and speak up and he continued to whisper. Finally when I could take no more after having my daughter's ice cream the wrong size and eye rolls when I requested tops and just a general air of disdain from these workers I simply told them to keep their ice cream that we would go elsewhere. There is no reason why someone serving ice cream should be as emotionless and cold as this trio. Clearly whomever is in charge of this place does not value their customers as many complaints have been made and these individuals continue with their shenanigans. I will never return. read more

The girls that work there look like they just rolled out of bed and do not wash their hands after cash transaction. i ABSOLUTELY think the worker AIMEE is a horrible employee and she is plain out rude. Went here because it's the closest location to my house. Thought they weren't open because the employees had all been hanging out in the back of the store. Got a "like it" size (the smallest on the menu) and the girl Justine who was working couldn't have seemed less interested in helping me. She filled the cup less than half full and it cost me 5.25 for a chocolate ice cream with sprinkles and 4 (no joke) marshmallows mixed in. Definitely will not be returning. so the only movie theater my boyfriend and I go to is the Grossmont center theater. Afterwards we usually like to get some ice cream. The last three times I have been in to cold stone at this location it has been the same three awful employees. If it wasn't for my boyfriend with me, I would ask them if they hate their job so much do us consumers a favor and quit. There were two Hispanic girls, and one Hispanic male with Gage's in his ears. So we walked on the shop about 9:30, mind you they close at ten. All of the ice cream was covered 30 mins prior to closing time. We did not receive a greeting from any of the three employees working the last three times we went, however we did get all 6 eyes rolled at us. when the young man came up to the counter he said nothing, so I began to order and my boyfriend ordered. After we finished talking he literally said nothing and walked to the back. of course since he didn't listen to our order the girl at the cashier was told to ring us up for the wrong size. We corrected him as he said "my bad", the first thing we heard come out of his mouth. He then tried to compensate his rude attitude with a bigger size ( not worth this experience ). So after we pay, we notice that all three of them had walked to the back, STILL WITH NO ICE CREAM. The skinny Hispanic girl comes in and says, "are you waiting on something!?" With attitude. At this point we are completely in shock on how horrible these employees are, only to find out there is not a manager on the floor with them at all. Today my sister and I went in to go satisfy our ice cream cravings and we were thoroughly disappointed. We went in around 2:45 and the girls that were working seemed absolutely unhappy with their jobs. I also work in a similar business, but with frozen yogurt instead and I understand hot days can take it out of you because of having rushes throughout the day, but this service wasn't even like that. Very robotic. To top it off their freezers might need to be checked because as soon as we were served our ice cream it had already seemed melted and it wasn't even hot inside the restaurant. I was a little surprised to read all the negative reviews about the female employees here. I actually REFUSE to come into the store if the male employees are working. I only come when the females are here. The males are rude and don't care about anything except their own boredom. I would say something to the manager except I've never once seen one. One time the males were working (this was before I stopped going while they're in there) and one of them flicked something white on the counter at his coworker who was in the process of making my order, which made them both laugh. I was standing there and saw it fly into my ice cream and I said "did that just go in my ice cream?" Both of them, who were obviously annoyed said "No". I'm thinking that BS cause I saw it. I get my order and start eating it when sure enough, two bites in, there's a white chocolate chip which I didn't ask for. I went back in to let them know what had happened and one of them says "it's just a white chocolate chip.." As if I'm supposed to say "oh ok well then nevermind, it's ok that you were flicking things at your friend that ended up in my food...." WTF? What else is in my food that I dont know about?? After I told him that I can't this because I can't trust that they didnt get anything else in there that shouldnt be there, one of them ignores me completely, and the other -Without Even Looking Up From The Counter- Says "ok...." Stopped by Cold Stone 3/2/14, and patiently waited for help for 10 minutes with just one couple ahead of my wife and I. There was no greeting upon walking into the store or any acknowledgment by either of the workers present. There were two girls working there, one was helping the one couple ahead of us and another person was adding more ice cream to the display ice cream. After the couple ahead of us left, the two girls just started talking to each other without even looking at us. They didn't say hi, can I help you, or someone will be with you in a moment, so we just left thinking that the service was horrible. One of the girl did say, have a good night after we were out the door. I will give Cold Stone another chance, only if their customer service improves. Hopefully, the manager will read this review and educate their workers about customer service. read more
