I have been to Yogurtland in the past but decided to go recently due to my niece's pleading to check out Laufey's flavor: Laufberry. We headed out to the SDSU/Rolando location, I was very surprised there were a lot of people standing in line. I am not sure if this is typical for this location or because many people also wanted to check out the Laufey's limited time flavor. The line did move fast, but sadly the Laufey flavor was sold out. I tend to go for more chocolate/cookie type of concoctions for frozen sweet treats while my niece will choose more fruity. I chose flavors: vanilla, cheesecake, cookies and cream, birthday cupcake batter, Rich chocolate ice cream. I did try and get a tiny bite of the Passion Fruit flavor and it was actually very strong and tasty. Typical toppings bar had a plethora of items to choose from:(just a few) fresh fruit, cookies, different chocolate candy,cheesecake bites, chocolate chip cookie dough bites, mochi, gummy candies, sprinkles, crushed peanuts.. There is the option as well for sauces like caramel or chocolate sauce, etc. You weigh your creation at the end. I always try to choose the lighter items, but you like what you like and end up getting what you're craving. I do not think Yogurtland is super expensive, but it is definitely not cheap. We went here after dinner last night 5/11/25 around 9pm. The place was super busy. I've never seen so many pairs of uggs in one place. My friends enjoyed their yogurts While they were enjoying their yogurts and we were chatting I was people watching. A male working behind the counter was picking at his face repeatedly. Really terrible. I normally don't have an issue with this place I go all the time but I ordered form DoorDash and they gave me a premade ice cream thinking I wouldn't notice. There was a Sticker on it and has freezer burn. They put toppings on top thinking I wouldn't notice. My usual yogurt spot is tutti frutti but I wanted to try somewhere else, closer to my house. Boy was that a mistake. This yogurt land is in a really busy plaza, with a lot of other shops. It seems to be frequented by college kids mostly. My biggest gripe is the yogurt flavors were minimal and toppings were a total miss. I am used to having so many options, like strawberry, pomegranate, etc, the best they had to offer was popsicle flavor (which I didn't care for) and things like cheesecake, vanilla, and citrus. I came here with my family to have a late Easter treat, I was pretty annoyed and upset with a worker there. From the time we got there, she had an attitude. She was cleaning the chairs outside slamming them. When she brought them in she walked right between my family and I to put them by the wall, while we were talking. I felt that was rude, she didn't excuse herself, nor said sorry. And when she knocked on the bathroom door to see if anyone was in there, she banged on the door so loud, it echoed through the place. We all turned because she was obnoxiously loud. Making it extremely uncomfortable for everyone. Clearly she wanted everyone to leave. My son needed to use the restroom and she was literally in there for ten minutes before cleaning it, we asked another worker to let my son use the restroom. When she opened the door she gave my son dirty looks and she came out with an attitude talking crap about how she got kicked out because my son needed to use it to her coworker. I've been coming here for years without any issue. Today, we came here with my 2 kids, 7 and 8 years old, who were walking about in between eating their yogurt. One of my children did stand on the cushioned bench at one point and was told immediately by the owner to "sit down and stop running around" (they weren't running around). They listened and sat down. As we were leaving, the owner called me over and reprimanded me- telling me that they can't be running around and jumping from one couch to the other. He then proceeded to state that if they were to get hurt then I could sue them and they would call the cops and then my kids could be taken away by CPS. His demeanor, tone of voice and approach was incredibly aggressive and excessive. I have never had this happen to me at any restaurant, food service establishment, etc. I've lived in the neighborhood for 35 years and have been coming here with my kiddos since they opened. His words and approach were so inappropriate and over the top it caught me way off guard. INCREDIBLY POOR customer service- I will not be returning nor can I recommend them... I truly cannot believe for an establishment that only sells yogurt and whose demographic is primarily children, that the owner would behave in such an aggressive manner. read more

On top of that, it was so hot inside that our yogurt was already melting by the time we left. Took the kids here to use their free first 5 oz coupons from the city library summer reading program. Never been here before. It's located in a large shopping center with Vons practically next door. Also next door is a liquor store and other shops. Some very sketchy people walking around. I didn't feel unsafe but I did keep watch when we ate outside. Service was good. I think the manager was there. He was nice and I asked if he accepted the coupons and he said yes. I got the cookies and cream and the girls got cotton candy. Lots of topping to choose from. Everything very clean. I saw signs on the seats inside so I'm not sure if you can actually sit indoors. But we wanted to sit outside anyway. The froyo was yummy. But then my daughter had to use the restroom. We went back inside and they said their restroom wasn't open to the public, not even customers. So we had to walk over to the Vons. Maybe because of the shady neighborhood. Even Vons had the bathroom locked and you had to use a code.
