To begin, I'm a sweet frog regular, but yesterday me and my boyfriend decided to try cold stone for a change up in our cravings and I'm so glad we did! There was a long line but we were greated by every worker and they seemed to be moving fast so we stayed. It's a bit small in their but welcoming and the restrooms were very clean.this was our second time here and we weren't too familiar with the flavors but Julia (worker who helped us) encourage us to try out a sample of the flavor we were curious about and we loved the cake batter flavor and ended up getting the remix ! It came with brownies , fudge , and sprinkles mixed in. the size we got was "gotta have it" which is the biggest one and definetly enough for more than one serving. The ice cream is great! I have been going to Coldstone for the past 14 years. We started going to the one in Palm Springs. Great service there. Here, they all seem to be always upset. Extremely unprofessional workers. Like there is low morale or maybe it's just the custom of what you get here in the A.V. This last time was the last straw. The girl who sort of attended us wouldn't even acknowledge us. She just kept going on with her other responsibilities. I had to ask for help. Wish I would have gotten someone else because apparently she had a running nose and she kept sniffing and wiping it with the back of her hand while she was getting our ice cream. I ordered the cake about a week ahead of time. I ordered the Cookie dough delirium and was set to pick it up Labor Day. I called in to the store to see if I could come pick it up and they asked me what to write on it and said it would be ready in 30 minutes. Well, after an emergency thing, I ended up being about two hours late, and when they went to the back to look for the cake, they took forever to find the cake. Then they come back and say, do you want something written on it. You had two hours!! Don't tell someone your going to do something and then not do it. A waste of time. So we get home, we cut the cake and to our little surprise, since this place loves to make mistakes gave us the completely wrong cake. It was a like they had an Oreo cake and took off the cookies, and replaced the top with cookie dough. This place is not clean. During the pandemic most places I have been are really clean. This location not at all. They do not seem to be following the cleaning protocol at all. No hand sanitizer available. . I walked up to the door with smears and fingerprints all over the door. Very dirty. Walk inside and all of the glass along the serving counter is hazy and there are splashes of stuff all inside the glass. There was a ring of dried ice cream on top of the glass. The plexiglass separating the register was wiped with a dirty rag because it was foggy and smeared. Come on whoever owns this place. Get with it. Detail clean your place. Get the stuff off the ceiling around the air vent and YES, clean the vent. It makes me cringe to think how things are in the back of the store. Take time to have your staff detail clean. You can't possibly be that busy. Only came pick up cake that wasn't even ready after I already called ahead and told them what right on it. They said no problem ready in 30 minutes. NOT! Haven't been to Cold Stone in some time but after going tonite I will prob not go back. Place looked dirty glass from where the ice cream is being held appeared to not of been clean for awhile sticky. You actually had a hard time ready what types of ice cream was in there. The tile in front of it was black from not being clean. No one had hair nets on. One of the workers was out talking to one of the other workers when she bent over and stuck the top of her hair in the water spout which water was running. The worker told her hey you have water on your head, and she shook her head and water went everywhere. When my ice cream was being made the bananas looked bad they were actually black and he still made my ice cream with it The Line was going out the door and only two people were working while you could hear several other workers in the back screwing around in the back. Recently went to get ice cream here. Was very disappointed. The 2 staff members guy and a girl took about 7 minutes to come out from the back and acknowledge us. We asked for a sample and they rolled their eyes at each other. The male employee didn't wash his hands before he got a sample. The customer service was lacking. They seemed more interested in playing with each other than attending to us. It was also a VERY strong Marijuana odor. I have even seen two employees stop working to talk to friends that come in while helping customers (and I've only visited this location three times this year). We ordered a cake but they forgot to make it so we had to get one out of the freezer. They used to sing when you tip, but this location does not seem to do that anymore. Now I love Cold Stone so this review is NOT about the ice cream. Its about an employee and what I witnessed today. First off there was two guys working. One guy was really kicking ass and helping the customers. There was along line of customers. Now the other guy hmm ya lazy. He put in some funnel cake and stood there wgile it cooked for 4 minutes. Didnt offer to help the other guy. So there was a girl working who was sitting with her friends talking so she goea back to work and has all her friends cut to the front if the line, makes them all ice cream and holds up the line and doesnt charge them for their ice cream. All while payinf custimers were waiting in line . some customers were tired of waiting and just left. This girl was rude and obviously didn't care avout the other customers just her friends. And while she was sitting at the table before talking to her friends she was cussing up a storm while there were little kids in the store. I will be makimg a call to the manager I feel they need to be aware of how their employees act and treat or should I say not treat their customers. They launch balls of ice cream through the air to the awaiting cup at on the other side of the parlor. They catch it EVERY TIME!! Honestly I go to cold stones pretty often including this specific location. Fortunately every other time I've been here I was lucky enough that whitley or whatever her damn name is was not there. Medium to tall heavy set white girl with a partly shaved head and pig tails. She gave the worst customer experience I have ever had the unfortunate luck of having. She ignored us completely until we politely inquired a few times about getting some ice cream. She messed up our order and was rude about it. She moved like a sloth. She talked down to both me and my girlfriend. She also was rude to the other customers that were there tonight at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else complains. I have worked customer service for a long time and I understand you get rude customers on occasion but I can tell you this was not the case.
