Bruster's was an absolutely delightful new discovery!…read more With a friendly staff and all sorts of fun flavors, Bruster's will definitely become part of our summer time ice cream rotation. The thing I appreciate the most? They have multiple dairy-free options for my kid, flavors that are fun and made him feel special. Can't wait to come back!

My wife raved about it and immediately became addicted saying it was the best she's had ever. I tried it. Incredible difference from any Butter Pecan I've ever had. Other brands taste like vanilla ice cream with stale pecans mixed in. Yours has a distinct buttery flavor & texture, and the pecans are so fresh. I write as a very satisfied customer, as is Lisa. All flavors we've tried are top quality. You need not worry about competition from the dozen other places in the area. Yours is the absolute best. That along with outstanding customer service will level the competition. If you can find a way to get your cart out there and get more people to taste it, they'll show up at your store. Maybe clear your smaller garage bay and store it there on a trailer. Leave coupons for shut-ins like John Knox & other convalescent homes for Door Dash delivery. Also nail & hair salons since folks are already out, have waited forever and are now deserving of a treat. Just some thoughts you've likely already thought of. I think more local exposure will draw customers who might not shop in that area very often or simply can't get there. We very much look forward to our next delicious treat!

It's not god-awful, but our entire experience was just...subpar. To start off, the service is not great. The entire place seems to be staffed by teenagers (not a bad thing!) who have not been trained to run the place well (a bad thing) and who don't know what's on offer (a very bad thing). We asked if we could substitute the cheddar cheese that comes on the burger for American cheese. She didn't know and went to ask her manager, then returned to inform us that they don't have American cheese. What kind of Americana-themed diner doesn't have American cheese?! The food was also just fine. The burger patties look like they came straight out of the freezer in a school cafeteria, but they tasted surprisingly good! Well-seasoned and not rubbery. The buns were fine. The fries were good, beer-battered and flaky but quite undercooked. The soda tasted like nothing - barely even carbonated water. To add to the (non-literal) sour taste left by the food, the ice cream was just so-so. The custard was bland and the ice cream is quite expensive, especially for not being made in-house. Boo! The ambience is cute but it seems like someone just googled "50s Americana" and added the first 15 Amazon listings to their cart to decorate the place. As another reviewer said, I am EXTREMELY disappointed to see what seems like a local institution advertising with hideous AI-generated posters. Is it really that hard to take a picture of a burger or an ice cream cone? I wouldn't recommend this place. Take a trip north to Danny's Burger Shack for a good meal instead!

I…read morepre ordered a birthday cake for pick up, when i arrived no one had a clue where it was. After being told they may "find it" I was told that someone forgot to make it. They offered to make it within the next 20 minutes, I let them know I needed to drive three girls to their birthday party and would come back for the cake. I got a call 30 minutes later saying that the cake could not be made because my order did not come in in time. After finally tracking down and speaking to the manager, she told me there was a "glitch in the system" and that my order actually never came in. None of this could possibly be true, being as my receipt was in the shop when I arrived. They all acknowledged that my order had arrived at the store, but no one bothered making it. Avoid this place at all cost. While I was waiting around a woman arrived asking for a dairy free option, the girl behind the counter said she did not know if they had one, and offered "sugar free". I walked over and pointed out the dairy free option to the woman who came in. I don't work there, but standing there for 10 minutes I was more versed in the produce than their paid employees. Absolute train wreck of a business. I ended up driving frantically to Hyvee to grab last minute cakes as opposed to having nothing. This was supposed to be a too tier dessert treat for a special occasion. What a profound disappointment.
