They were quick to get the cake and even made some accommodations to have half of the cake have a pecan coating and the other half be plain. The difference is that it contains pineapple and coconut. Hummingbird cake is typically very chunky and moist, and a very close cousin to carrot cake. But almost nobody makes it. So while this one is marketed as a carrot cake, if you are from the south, it definitely leans toward hummingbird. Anyway, it was Absolutely amazing! At first, I was a little disappointed that it didn't have thicker cream cheese icing, but once I dug into the cake and tasted how sweet and moist it was, I decided more frosting would've been too much of a good thing. The key lime had a perfect ratio of cream to pie and the filling was so smooth and not overly stiff/congealed like I've had elsewhere. $6 for a giant slice of happiness is a great deal.
