HORRIBLE SERVICE 6/13/26 2:45PM Came in and this lady working seems really unhappy with her job. We barely finished telling her what we want for our order and she was already rushing in making them. We were the only customers there. The cup was overflowing so we asked for a bigger size and apathetically tossed it to us. $30 for 2 "love it" sizes. Other than the abysmal service and dead ambiance, that's insane pricing. Better go to Jensens for a liter of ice cream! read more

Been here a few times the past few months, and staff is always so kind and helpful, and what's not to love about their ice cream? I will never go back to this location. The Ice Cream is good as always but the rudest girl I have ever met dished up the ice cream. just in case her boss reads this she was working at 4:50 on 6/19. when we walked in am no one was in the front we waited and finally had to call out to get her to come to the front. Absolutely horrible service tonight. I usually order a base flavor and then do some modifications and have never had issues with the staff taking my order. Tonight, my partner was asking for samples and while we had samples, the staff (no name tag but she was the only person there and the register receipt said Valeria H.) immediately moved towards making my order, but I wasn't quick enough to ask her not to put on caramel and when I apologized and asked if I could redo my order as I could not eat caramel, she asked to scrape it off and I apologized again and said I really couldn't eat it with the sauce on there. She seemed annoyed and finished making it with everything and set it in another cup and then went toward making mine. While I was waiting for my partner to order, I didn't catch how quickly she finished my item and when I told her that I was sorry, but I wanted to add a modified item, she said "it's already in the bowl" I said okay, but I still wanted it and she kept insisting she couldn't mix it in and I said okay, she could add it on top. She begrudgingly took the ice cream out of the bowl and mixed it. I then asked about my application having a $3 off any purchase $15 or more but not having a code, she said she couldn't do anything about it. Pretty much was dismissive of my order throughout the whole time there and kept pushing back and acting as if she didn't want to do her job and that I inconvenienced her. No matter how many times I apologized for bot being quick in my order. I'm usually used to them asking if I want to modify/add items but she was so pushy and dismissive of my order throughout the entire process. It was such a horrible experience. read more

There are much better ice cream places around. Their ice cream is nothing special, at $7.49 for one scoop. Relatively small choice of flavors, unless you want candy sprinkled on top (why would you?). There is nowhere to sit inside, but you can sit outside in the 110 degree heat. I ate it in my car and it dripped all over my shirt. read more

Just went into cold Stone cream creamery on East Palm Canyon. The person working inside is too busy to help the customers we told her that we had not been there before and she just kept coming out of the back room saying are you ready? Are you ready? Are you ready when we asked for a sample? She gave one person a sample and we had to ask for another sample for the other person. She was busy in the back granite and she was the only one there when I asked her if it came on a cup or a cone, she said both and I said I wanted a cone. I saw there were some small cones on the microwave, but she put it in a large, super large cone and charged me two dollars extra for this cone that I didn't even want a cone, I wanted the small cone. I had also said I think the sweet cream is my favorite, but she made mine with a different ice cream, the cream cheese one and I got a cheesecake which is OK however, I only got two strawberries very little crumbly, and I got chocolate instead of caramel when I asked about what was crumbly she said that was probably the Graham cracker $22 for two small ice cream creams is ridiculous in a great big huge cone I will never come back there again. Customer Service was terrible. Somebody needs to either get her some help or some training. I would like to add that the store looks closed. For many years it had been a weekly tradition that every Wednesday evening after work I treated myself to the "gotta have it" (biggest cup) container of chocolate ice cream from Cold Stone's Smoketree location 2465 E. Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs. (I used to go to the location in downtown Palm Springs however that was closed a lot of times by the city for not being clean). BUT the tradition is over. Last night being a Wednesday I went to the Smoketree location as usual only to find it is under new ownership and the usual "Gotta have it" container's price is now nearly $9.00 with the tax. I am a senior citizen and this is a HUGE increase. So that is the end of that tradition. I can understand a small increase but this big of a jump in price is just wrong. Cold Stone has been of my favorites for years, used to have it all the time. I went just now for my favorite combo, just one ingredient. A small was $7.49. Was shocked. Got in the car and there was barely any kit kat, maybe two small bites, nothing. If you want to survive, don't gouge customers especially if they've been loyal supporters. I ordered over $50 worth of ice cream and needed a bag I waited for the customer in front of me to pay so I can ask for a bag when all of a sudden one of my cups fell out of my hand and landed on the dirty floor. The employee saw it happen and just said sorry... I asked if she would please remake it and she said no that I already paid and it was my fault I dropped it! When I asked for a manager she said she was the manager and that it was actually the owners rule and if she remade it she would have to pay for it... wow! I was longing for a very creamy vanilla shake. The shake is rich, creamy, topped with thick whipped cream and oh so delicious. The two CSC employees were very friendly and efficient. They have lots of classic and unique ice cream flavors. The waffle cones look interesting too. I noticed several decadent ice cream cakes in the large fridge. I used to enjoy going to Coldstone, but unfortunately it is no longer the business it used to be, at least at this location. They have jacked up prices and reduced toppings to a tiny miniscule teaspoon. So for the small it is $7.49 and a tiny teaspoon of topping it is a total and complete rip off. If you want addition topping to make up for the lack of topping they didn't put on, they want another $1.50 for another teaspoon. The staff has a bad attitude and refused to add even a little more topping after my request. So I walked out. So now it can all go to waste, you didn't get the sale, and you lost a customer for good. Bought a premade ice cream from the freezer only to find out after I took one bite that it had melted and been refrozen, it was all gross and icy. Went to return it and they said they wouldn't give me a refund or replace it with a fresh one even though they could clearly see it was inedible. The two girls that told me had a smirk on their face like it was funny and they only offered to sell me another one at full price. So I threw it in the trash and left. Will never return here again. They canceled my Order for a birthday cake without telling me the reason why. They charged my credit card and didn't deliver my order and in addition didn't even let me know why they canceled it. The ice cream is very tasty with every bite you take. The young man working I believe his nametag said Andres or Andre, did an amazing job at helping me choose the right ice cream by giving me creative ideas. In the end, we came up with a yummy creation with Vanilla Ice Cream, Cinnamon, Yellow Cake, Caramel, and a little hint of graham crackers.
