I would rate this location and its service -10, I did visit here sometime ago and from that visit till today, it got worse! The inconsistency in portions and the lack of training on how to take care of guest concerns was clearly missing. I ordered 3 love it sized ice creams, and when I asked them why the third one was proportioned smaller(like a like it sized), Brendan told me as he laughs "it's an optical illusion you know hahaha". I guess that's the kind of answers you get when teenagers are in charge. As we watched them make the ice cream, TJ uses his finger to lift the cake out of the clear container instead of the tongs.(food safety concern as he had no gloves on and I did NOT see them wash there hands). As I'm cashing out, Brendan looks for a tip on the receipt, and because I put zero, starts laughing and talking smack under his breath. I ignore these as I'm turned off by now, with the engagement, the service, and how clearly untrained and under supervised they are! The service here is a notch above other locations. After we ordered delivery and the third party delivery driver from GH never delivered our order, we called the branch and not only did the owner deliver the order themselves the next day, they provided us with some coupons to help make it right. When I dropped in today, I couldn't believe how nice and friendly the employees were. The gal who recommended the churro flavor was super helpful and made sure everything was perfect. I'll be back soon but I figured good experiences sometimes go unappreciated. So thank you to the crew of 3 working tonight you were all solid! The new ownership and crew are great! read more

Came in to get one of the big Togo tubs . And I saw that they had them stacked behind the counter . But told me they can't make them right now because it's busy . So I ordered 4 love it's and the kid behind the counter had an attitude the whole time making it . I need ice cream for 4 people what did you expect , either way you are going to make the same amount . Staff are amazing, very kind. I know they've been struggling but I've always received great service & great attitudes. Especially Emmy, Stephanie, Jackson & Colton. Who've always made every visit enjoyable. Always customer oriented. I've been here many times and they handle rude customers very well & are always very welcoming to me & my family. Because of them I always send people their way. And I've sent A LOT lol. Service was slow and nowhere in the store was it posted the blender to make shakes was broke and had been for a couple of weeks according to the kid behind the counter. Came in a day or two ago after finding the store was back open... The store itself looks nice and tidy but it wasn't hard to notice how stressed out the workers were when the floor in the area they work started flooding while there was a line of people that wouldn't stop. I'm not too sure but I'm pretty sure that's a cause for concern and a health issue. One of the 3 16 yr olds working was more worried about getting his speaker to play and riding the serving cart around all while there's one other 16 yr olds serving the line of people out the door. Not sure if this location has a manager above the age of 18, or a district manager to gives a damn about the employees here. I'm disappointed every time I walk into those doors. Employees always trying to close early, never has a clean shop. Dirty tables every time. We entered the store to find 2/4 workers talking to their friends. Since we came with a big group they stopped and began to ask how many checks we were going to need. We said "hello, only one person is ordering ice cream so just one" all the workers began to stare as us like if we were going to order, I then repeated . It'll just be one ice cream order . The male worker took my friend's order and was polite. However the female worker asked us again, what else . I had to raise my voice and say "only one of us is getting ice cream, this will be it for us" . So she sighed and then began to ring us up, but you could sense the attitude with her actions. There was no reason for her to be acting that way, we were not being loud and the interaction took less than 5 mins. After reading over the reviews , I can understand why the store has such low ratings. Maybe you guys should hire people who actually want to work . read more

I needed a ice cream cake for my wife's birthday, I called 4 times no one picked up so I drove through 5pm traffic to get there to find one customer in the dinning room, so why couldn't they pick up the phone ? Two workers were there one on the floor the other one comes out of the back eating ice cream. All this just to find out that the freezer was broken and they didn't have any cakes on hand. If only they weren't ignoring the phone I wouldn't have had to waste my time. This place has fallen from what it use to be, smh read more

To start off, I normally am not a huge fan of ice cream establishments. But the day was hot and I was feeling like having a nice cool treat to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening. I ordered the birthday cake remix and it was made to order within only a minute or so. The worker named Morgan was who served me and she did so with a kind smile on her face. She made good conversation while serving, and threw the ice cream and caught it in the cup. I was very impressed with her skills I left a 5 dollar tip. The ice cream was great and was the perfect treat to enjoy the day. Ice cream was 5 stars and service was 5 stars. read more

More like Cold Stone Cemetery. This place is dead. Do not order a birthday cake from here! This is the second time in the past year that I preordered a cake and they didn't have it. The first negative experience was at the Lakewood location. I drove all the way there to find out the store was closed due to running out of ice cream! I did not receive a phone call or any communication to let me know my cake would not be ready. Luckily, Ben and Jerry's in Gig Harbor rushed an order for me. Otherwise, I would not have a birthday cake for my son. Today's experience was due to someone calling in sick that makes the cakes. I totally get that people get sick but they did not call us to let us know. So guess what? We drove there and they said sorry we do not have your cake. I am mind blown by the customer service here. PLEASE WASH THE ICE CREAM SCOOPERS IN BETWEEN ALL CUSTOMERS!!! I am severely allergic to all tree nuts and the tiniest amount can send me into anaphylactic shock! The last thing I want in the last few bites of ice cream is to taste peanut butter. My mouth/throat started to itch and swell along with hives forming on my neck and hands. Had to immediately take 2 Benadryl to stop the anaphylactic shock. Please be extremely aware if you have serious food allergies and go here!!! Always double check and make them aware of your allergies! I was not able to do this since me mom and sister went to go get the ice cream and something so small can be a HUGE threat to me. Please train your employees to be more allergy alert or have them ask up front if the customer has allergies! Really saddened by my experience. read more

Put in a custom cake order over the phone on Saturday for Monday pickup. Girl on the phone sounded like this was her first time taking an order, didn't bother me I figured it was a great training experience. Gave her my card info to pay ahead of time. Monday comes around, I have a $40 charge from cold stone on my bank statement. I show up around 5 PM, they tell me there is no cake under my name. After 10 minutes they tell me "sorry we don't have your cake". They said it wasn't showing up in their system and that whoever took my order over the phone never entered it into the system. How am I getting a $40 charge from cold stone if my order was never "in the system"? They had no cakes in stock so I asked for refund. The worker said she needed manager approval to give a refund, so I waited 20 more minutes for her to get a hold of a manager over the phone. Finally received a cash refund and took that money to Menchie's for a cake. As we were waiting, another man walked in asking if they had cakes in stock. That's $80 you just missed out on not having cakes ready. Moral of the story: take your money elsewhere. It's not worth the hassle. Cold Stone: give your employees authority to make decisions on their own. Employees should not need manager approval for refunds for situations that are clearly the store's fault. Also, train your employees on conflict resolution. I don't want to be told "I'm sorry" 100 times, I just want the situation to be corrected. read more

This is my go to for a guilty pleasure. Even though it is still a bit chilly outside, there was a line. The ColdStone team was very pleasant, they packed my ice cream just the way I like, chunky brownie chunks and to the top. The service was good, the location was okay inside, dark and it did give me the dirty vibe but, I was not eating there so, I was okay with it. Ordered peanut butter cup perfection and mint mint chocolate chocolate chip, didn't make the orders per ingredients list and didn't even give us a second to add anything else to the orders. My kids and husband when to this cold stone today, 11/15/21 around 445/5 pm. I had them order me a chocolate devotion for myself. When I started eat the I cream, I had a piece of hair in my mouth (disgusting I know) but I assumed it may of been mine, so i continue to eat & then I found three more piece of hair in my ice cream.. I felt like I was going to throw up because the first hair was in my mouth.. when calling cold stone to let them know of this, I spoke to Gabriella and she asked if I wanted to go back and have it remade.. at that point I kindly declined as I was already disgusted of what I found. She then went on to offer me a refund but state she has to reach out to her manager. I asked if I needed to go in for this or if they can do it over the phone. Towards the end of the conversation, Gabriella sounded like she was laughing or trying to hold in a laugh.. She took my information and stated she would call her manager and have her call me back.. so we'll see if that actually happens. I'm beyond pissed and disgusted.
