Shipping a whole cake would've been hard and unreliable, so I was excited to see this tea cake option... and that they could personalize the little cakes with pictures!! I'm in Georgia, and the ladies were very responsive and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted, both in flavor and in design!! Angela and MaryAnn were patient and just altogether awesome! They were clear on what they could and could not do, and were great about my choices of flavors and design. SUPER HAPPY with how the cakes turned out, the time it took to get the cakes, and the taste!! I ordered chocolate, lemon, & pistachio cakes, which weren't all listed online, but they were able to do it anyway. The flavors aren't overwhelming, which's good, and they were delicious! That said, I was honestly confused by the staffing situation. When I was there, there was only one employee working, despite a steady influx of orders. To be clear, he was absolutely killing it -- moving fast, staying organized, and doing the best he could. But I really don't understand why any retail store would schedule just one person. It's overwhelming for the employee and, frankly, feels like a safety concern. As far as the cookies themselves, no complaints at all -- they were great. I mainly stopped in because it was my birthday (and a free cookie obviously justifies additional purchases ). I would definitely come back for another sweet treat. Hopefully management gives the staff a little more support going forward, because the product is solid and the employees clearly care.

I reached out to countless bakers, showed them my inspo pics and none of them said they could do it. They said that doing a mountain design and trying to deliver it was nearly impossible and to reset my standards because "good luck finding a baker that can do that". Well, that's exactly what I did. Tara with K.T. Cakes did what no other baker was willing to do, and she did it with flying colors, and within our budget! All night I received compliments on how pretty our wedding cake was with the mountain design. My husband and I also really wanted a maple filling in the cake because we love maple bars. Tara said that wasn't on her normal menu but that she would do it. Let me tell you... the cake tasted as good as it looked. We then had guests coming up to us all night raving about the taste of the cake. I hope Tara implements the maple as one of her regular flavors, because everyone should jump on that flavor without hesitation the second they can. Her cookies & cream filling (our middle cake tier flavor) was also so good- it tasted just like an ice cream cake and had such an amazing texture. She also delivered the cake safely and with plenty of time to spare! Being from out of state, Tara was super accommodating of us mailing our cake stand and topper to her as well. When we mentioned that we didn't get to try the other cake flavors, Tara offered to make us a small cake so that we could try our wedding cake.
