This is not the first time I've had an issue with this cold Stone. I decided to give it another try and order a milkshake off the app. I arrived to pick up the shake and was ignored for 5 minutes with nobody else in the store. Then when I asked where my shake was they told me the shake machine was broken and it didn't matter because they were out of coffee ice cream. Their attitude made the situation so much worse like so what would you like us to do about it. I asked for my money back which they told me they couldn't do. They made me something as a replacement but not equivalent in value. Through it on the counter and went back to doing whatever they were doing before. I was literally the only person in the store. My daughter place an order for a specialty cake for my granddaughters 1st birthday. On the day of pickup the store was closed even though the door and order said 12pm Both my daughter and kept calling there was no response. We had to go to another place to have a birthday cake for a one year old birthday party, a very special day in a parent's life. Finally after 1pm we received a call with no explanation. Absolutely horrible experience here this week. The worst customer service I've received in a long time. I pre-ordered a small chocolate, peanut butter ice cream cake for my sister's birthday party for pickup 7:45 with the party starting at 8:00 pm on Sunday. My friend attending the party was picking it up for me on the way. When she arrived, she was told by the employee "I thought this order was for tomorrow. We don't have this cake." She called me on the phone for us to work through the issue together. For our inconvenience we were offered a small cup of ice cream, or a large cake in a totally different flavor. Neither of those options helped us at all. The only small options they had on hand were coffee or vanilla (sweet cream) - neither of which my sister likes. We reluctantly chose the vanilla and asked the employee what could be done for this major mishap and we are told nothing. We ask him to call his boss - who says the most he can offer is $5 off. $5 off a $43 incorrect pre-ordered cake is absolutely insulting. We didn't have time to go somewhere else as she was already 20 minutes late for the party because of all the back and forth so unfortunately we had to accept. The kicker - when I got the credit email notice back that night - he had only refunded me $4. It was really shocking that they completely forgot our order and were so unwilling to give us a discount on the wrong replacement cake in such a casual, unapologetic manner. I came in excited to get the new Kirby Ice Cream since I'm such a huge Kirby fan. I've not have many poor experiences at Cold Stone prior. When I came in, I was the only customer. The two employees were watching a movie with headphones on in the back. Shouldn't there be employees on the floor when customers come in? When they came out after 5 minutes of me asking for help, they were really annoyed that they had tk help. I asked for a medium of the Kirby themed sundae. I asked for a themed cup because I was having a bad day and wanted to brighten it up. They gave me a small size when I asked for a medium. I left them a tip. The rude girl slid my ice cream across the counter and proceeded to call me an asshole. The boy told me I was a bad customer when I asked for a medium instead. How am I a bad customer I was charged for a medium I should get that size. Wouldn't recommend this place until the staff gets retrained and has better customer service. read more

The place is awful. They people they have working there seem to be brain dead and unprofessional. I don't think I've ever received an order that wasn't messed up. I order specials off there own menu and they can't even get it right. Always something missing, whether it's hot fudge or the wrong size. It's not that difficult. Doesn't take rocket science to scoop ice-cream and add some toppings. When you ask them a question the response is "yea, what's up". I swear these kids are def stoned. I decided to give this place one last chance but I was yet again dissapointed, me and my husband hop out of ordinary pick up truck after a long days work at our vintage doll store and as we walk in long and behold there is no one behind the counter! Me and my hubby wait there for two minutes before finally some spoilt brat trudges in from the back and says "what do you want". I say "hi can I have one love it chocolate unicornilocious with extra masarino cherries please!" (It's a secret menu item). This brat has the audacity to say "sorry we don't sell that" to which I reply that it's a secret menu item, then he asks how to make it and I say you're the employee why should I tell you! He then says sorry I'm new ... I was so angry I had to be held back. I will never be coming back to this location so long as it's run by such low lives. I am sick to my stomach. This place is a mess, ran by two teenagers with nothing in stock. I don't usually get frustrated when dealing with younger workers, but the lack of a manager to help give direction and manager help is extremely frustrating. Also there's no toppings or milk in their inventory. I'd recommend going somewhere local for ice cream or having your kids make you a Sunday rather than coming here lol read more

I don't know what happened to this store but the service is absolutely horrible. It is painfully obvious that the workers just do not care. With a line out the door, there was one girl taking care of the customers on line while the other girl (with a hoodie over her head and a mask) trudged along taking care of online orders (which were only 2, during the 45 minutes that I was on line), while disappearing into the back room over and over again. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My daughter worked there for over a month, they didn't pay her for the first week under the claim that they were changing ownership. I suggested she stays since it was her first job and could have been a legitimate oversight, however they delayed her paycheck and when she finally received it, she only got paid for half the time she worked. The new owner repeatedly told staff his intention is to have the kids run the place so he can go do other things. There is never an adult, my daughter was told to close the shop multiple times though she was 15 and was working there with another minor. It was a terrible experience for her. read more

I've been to the one in Baldwin place NY 3 times this summer. all I wanted was ice cream in a med size cup with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. after the ice cream was in the cup and syrup put on top, they told me all 3 times they were out of whipped cream. very poor management to say the least, especially since there is a stop & shop 3 doors down from them with at least 100 cans of whip cream for sale. shame on you cold stone ! al libby read more

I went tonight and it was very packed with only 2 people working. However, my terrible review is not for the service, it was for the 3 baby cockroaches that were crawling around the cash register. 2nd time visiting this store location. I presented a buy one get one free coupon that I received with my Sunday Paper. I ordered a large signature and a large create your own. The young lady Alexa advised that in order for me to use the coupon it has to be the same exact item. The coupon specifically states that you can order any size item and it states of equal or lesser value for the free item. So therefore the free item would have been the create your own since it is the cheaper of the two. The young lady stated that I would have to buy 1 large and 1 small after already telling me that I had to buy both of the same item. I feel coupons are always at the discretion of the business owner but to get the answer that I got as to why wasn't good customer service. Especially since I have used it at the Pleasantville NY, Coldstone with no problem. So in the future that is who will get my money. read more
