Chocolate ice cream base with caramel and strawberries

Took my daughter and my niece for a splurge on the way home from dinner. Both employees were nice. My daughter created her own creation. She got a like-it size with chocolate ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. When you make your own creation the first add-in is free. Additional add-ins cost $1.60. My niece originally was going to do chocolate with Oreo until she sampled the mint ice cream base. She ended up getting one of their signature creations, the "Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip". This was her first time, and she really enjoyed the creation. I am a big peanut butter fan, so I ordered their signature creation. It had chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups and their peanut butter sauce. I asked for a love-it but got a like-it size instead. I didn't notice until I left with the girls and my cup was the same size as theirs. The menu can be very overwhelming, as they have their signature flavors everywhere (main sign, decals on the ice cream freezer window, on the side wall). Each area has different flavors promoted. To make this review I went to their website to see names of the signature flavors. This was so much easier (minus I did not find the name of the signature flavor I had). I would recommend, if you are going the route of a signature flavor, to pull up their flavors on-line before getting to the counter. I enjoy Cold Stone, but with prices it is definitely a once in a while treat.

My experience at this Cold Stone location was satisfactory. I ordered my ice cream in a waffle bowl, but when it was completed I realized it was not placed in a waffle bowl. The ice cream tasted as I expect, and had good flavor. It would have been better if I received the waffle bowl I had requested. I was not charged for the waffle bowl, so the order concluded with a satisfactory out come.

Yikes! I haven't been to Cold Stone for a while as in my city there's not many locations. For an ice cream that's called "Oreo overload," oreo underload is more like it. I get that they had a lot of trainees, but for an $8 ice cream I'd hope that they can make it right. The manager had to correct the employee before he gave it to us (he only filled about half the cup) but it was still underwhelming. Very little Oreo pieces inside. No wonder so many cold stones have closed down in Houston!

Open until midnight on the weekends. Always friendly service. Multiple different toppings. Milkshakes, waffle cones or waffle bowls. Good place to feed your sweet tooth!

One of my favorite ice cream places of all time! It's not the fact that they have AMAZING flavors, but the experience is really cool, the employees make the ice cream,and mix it right in front of you! Talk about a fun learning experience!

I have been to this location about 15 times and the service and quality is constantly outstanding. The staff is friendly and prompt to take your order. I generally order a custom creation so my review can't speak of signature creations. The portions of ice cream and toppings are very generous. If you're lucky they might even throw in some extra toppings. You definitely get your money's worth. I recommend that you register with the eClub because you'll immediately receive a buy one creation and get one for free reward!

Dirty Creamery. The floors were sticky and filthy esp. near the windows where you sat down. The only bathroom smelled like shit. I had to go next door to Subway to wash my hands. The ice cream was melting off my cone because it wasn't being kept cold enough by the freezer. The a/c was cold enough but the convenience store across the way was nice and cool. Strange...I was eating melting ice cream at an ice creamery on a hot summer day and not feeling like I was enjoying myself. The ice cream was not anything great to taste. There was no water fountain or drinking water cooler. You had to ask for a spoon and every time I needed an extra napkin for my melting ice cream, I had to get up out of my chair and get one off the counter. Why don't they have napkins at the tables? The servers were polite but the lady had to apologize for handing my kid a melting ice cream cone. I won't be returning here. I'm going back to Blue Banana next time. read more

Just started Yelping and wanted to review Cold Stone on Speedway. What a great team of young employees. One of the kids went out of his way to make recommendations and gave us extra samples. We had 4 orders and each one was perfectly made. I had sweet cream with coconut and almonds. It was delightful. Great service and great tasting ice cream. We had one of these places in California when I lived there, but never visited. We will be back to this place!!! read more
