It's been 3 yrs since my bad cake experience and yet they did it again. As they say, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!! I bought a already made cake from their fridge and asked them to write Happy Birthday (my daughters name). They asked me twice how I spelled it and I failed to review the cake at the store. It wasn't till I got home I realized they had misspelled the name in orange writing, smudged it off to correct it and then re wrote her name. HORRIBLE!! Cake taste great but wow lack of service. Everything may seem fine and dandy as soon as you walk into the store but once you really become a regular customer; the truth as to how the ice cream parlor runs is not something to be satisfied with. I first started visiting and shopping for ice cream about a year ago and my oh my what delicious ice cream it is, there is no doubt about that. Reality is that nowadays the employees they have working there are not people who seem to enjoy their job. It might have a lot to do with the fact that there is an OBNOXIOUS,extremely, over sized looking manager that always seems to be hovering over these poor youngsters. I must say that i have become dissatisfied with the fact that he is always there watching their EVERY move and not allowing the customer and employee to interact freely. To be quite honest, some of the employees themselves have shared stories about how unfair and dirty the supervisors are. Such as leaving waffle cones out in the open overnight, thus them becoming STALE, having ants in the chocolate dispenser and still using the chocolate, and even hearing the "OWNER" lick off every bit of ice cream he could get his hands on has caused for me to find another location to go to, sadly. Saw the girl movin' around inside and went in. Another youngster came from the back. WOW! FREEZER BOARD FOR ROLLING THE CREAM. FRESH COLD BASE CREAMS PINKS, WHITES, CHOCOLATES. They have segregated the nuts and topping to the opposite side and will mix recipes while you wait to create Butter Pecan, i.e. While they roll the cream on the cold freezer board with clamps they ask which size you want for $7.99+ and roll nearly a truckload of this fresh cream into a privately-branded 1/2 gallon container to take home. Like someone else mentioned in their review, the KIDS serving this place are very rude and seem very bothered to try and help you it really made me feel just uncomfortable being there. Secondly it looked kind of dirty I don't know if it was the lighting. The music was also extremely loud so loud that I couldn't even order without having to yell the order out and I was the only one there. The music was very obnoxiously loud, the speaker sounded almost broken of how loud they had turned up the volume. The woman who attended me was very rude, when I asked her if they had a certain flavor she didn't even look up at me to answer she just shook her head and didn't even look at me, at all I had to ask 3 times till she finally made eye contact and asked me what kind of flavor was that...I would assume if she worked there she would know, anyway I went on and ordered something else unaware that the one I ordered had banana in it when I figured that out I asked before they started the ice cream if she could substitute the banana flavored ice cream for French vanilla and she was sooooo annoyed, she was really really rude I continued to put in my order and not once did she smile.. I stayed a while to see how they treated other customers and same treatment when someone comes in the door they barely make an effort to greet you, they talk so low and without any enthusiasm that hardly anyone hears them. What can I say? I've gotten better service buying ice cream from Rite Aid or McDonalds! Myself and 4 others came to Cold stone and upon entering there were 5 employees and no customer; this will be a quick visit, awsome.....or so I thought. We were greeted by Deshanee who was making wafel cones, she was friendly and working hard. Then we met the other 4 employees. We were greeted by one employee with an empty hi. One by one she slowly made our ice cream while 3 employees stood by. When we gave the other employee our next order (5 of us each had an order), she said "she's helping you," so like fools we waited as one employee made or orders slowly. Finally When it was my time to order I ordered a fudge truffle frap, the employee looked at me confused, when I pointed to the big ad on the door and the ad on the ice cream case she just left. A minute later all 3 employees camel out talking without telling me anuthing, figuring that she had no clue how to make it and as we had already spent a long time in the store, I asked her to change it to a Carmel frap. She said ok (no apology or explanation) and then made a Carmel frap and she began to walk away. Realizing I hadn't paid I asked the lady at the register, she called the other girl to ring me up who only rang me up for the frap. So I joked asking, are the other ice creams free then? She didn't say oh your right, or thank you or anything, she just voided her transaction and rang me up for the whole bill! Considering I could have had the entire order for free and the fact that their service sucked, I really would have appreciated a thank you. Never again will I pray $25 for ice cream, its, it's Rite Aid and McDonald's only from now on! read more
