Fantastic ice-cream and creative combinations. The last 2 months the employees have not been up to par. One apple pie combinations had 2 apples. I saw the young man put them on top. I'm not sure what happened between putting it on the top before mixing and being put into the cup. It was a "gotta love it" so it should have had more than 2 little pieces of apple. My elderly parents get ice-cream there about once a week so most of the time our order is correct. I also never see anyone older than 20 in the store. Not that younger people can't run a store or be a manager. I just wonder about who is training and why they seem to have high employee turn over. I'll just pay more attention to how mixing is done and what is going into the cup. Either way I'd recommend Coldstone to anyone! The toppings and portions are very generous and fresh. read more

Their ice cream is delicious and at a desirable temperature when served. The waffle cones taste fresh and crunchy, especially the great tasting chocolate waffle cones. The two young men behind the counter could have been friendly and helpful, but they weren't. The ice cream servings could have been just a little more generous, especially with the prices they charged, but they weren't. There was only one table that wasn't a two seater, but I guess you could have pushed tables together, but we didn't. Their ice cream has a great taste and is not too sweet. This is an ok place to drop in for a scoop or two and be on your way. Don't except to receive hospitality with your order, just ice cream and a cone or ice cream in a cup. read more

Just came from here with the family and it was a less than ideal experience. Generally we have had zero issues with cold stone over the years but this location is a huge exception. The 4 of us all ordered shakes in which the person behind the counter rolled his eyes. I assume this is because he had to make shakes... which is his job. Was asked several times by the same gentleman who rolled his eyes at us what sizes and shakes we wanted again. Maybe if he wasn't being an ass he would have remembered what we wanted. The shakes themselves were all pretty much straight liquid - zero thickness at all.... My son's especially which was almost like a regular drink. Wasn't going to go back and forth with employees about it especially since the one clearly didn't care at all. For spending close to 50 bucks on ice cream you'd think the quality would be better. This location needs to do better... whether they can or not is up to them. Won't be coming to this location again read more

I've always loved Cold Stone's ice cream, but my last visit wasn't great. After I got my order, the worker starting counting money from their drawer and then when a group of people came in they starting scooping ice cream without changing gloves... definitely not what you want to see from people handling your food. So each weekend lately I've been treating myself to Cold Stone Creamery. I have tried many different flavors. I can easily say my favorite is....... The Strawberry Blonde. Such great creamy strawberry flavor and I am guilty as charged for falling in love with the Graham cracker crumbs they put in there. That's my favorite add on. Graham Cracker Crumbs. So bad....so good. The closest runner up is Turtle Paradise followed by Dough For It and of course Cheesecake Fantasy. That Cheesecake Fantasy is a sweeter ice cream and delicious but get a medium. You'll want a large, get 1/2 way through and wish you had a medium. It's a lot after you keep eating it. Also I have tried the Coffee Lover's Only and the Banana Caramel Crunch. The banana flavor is so good. I have many more to try and a good thing is they allow you to sample before creating. The only flavor so far I didn't like was the Peanut Butter Cup Perfection. It was very overpowering chocolate and the Peanut Butter stuck to my teeth so bad I couldn't enjoy it. But that's ok because there are sooo many more to mix and match! They have Cold Stone Cakes and Cold Stone ice cream cookies too. Shakes/smoothies, and tons of toppings. I wish they had outdoor seating. I know there's a park next door but a little patio area would be great. Spring is comming! read more

The ice cream is decent, but the manager is quite rude. When she thought a young worker had overfilled my cup of ice cream, she made a scene, demanding that some of the ice cream be put back, which embarrassed me and the young employee. She grabbed the ice cream and stuck a dripping wet scoop in it to take out some of it. The wet scoop and the manager's behavior caused me to lose my appetite and took the fun out of taking the family out for ice cream. There are better choices. read more

I love this place! I walked in and it smelled amazing. The employees were very friendly and were even smiling. I love to see other people smile, it helps build a good atmosphere. I'd recommend that you go right next door and get hand-dipped ice cream at jerry's subs and pizza. Coldstone is OK, but really expensive for what you get. The mix-you-own flavor is novel, but every time I get something mixed, my ice cream is halfway melted before I even start. read more

Warrenton seems to have its share of ice cream shops along West Lee Highway. There's Friendly's, Baskin Robbins, Hershey's Ice Cream, and another mom n' pop ice cream shop (the name escapes me). But it's been a while since I've been to Coldstones...and for just the same reason that people popularize Starbucks, I wanted something familiar. Cold Stone in Warrenton has reopened! They lost their lease and are back across from the Warrenton DMV. I've been there twice. Not formerly a Cold Stone fan, but I've loved it these two times. Small cup with one mix-in is $3.55 - quite reasonable, IMO. The coffee ice cream is outstanding. Get it with the chocolate pretzels with sea salt and top it with caramel. Wonderful treat and the small size isn't sugar overload. read more
