Make it your way coffee bar.
    Bernard D.

We stopped in before a soccer game in the area looking for a quick bite and coffee. The atmosphere is a 5. Modern farmhouse vibe and great selection of baked items with a country store (shelf). Location on the corner is convenient to other locations downtown and ample parking. Bonus! We saw SANTA with an entourage walking around outside. That added charm to an already charming vibe at Red Truck and downtown W. Didn't get a photo of Santa. Don't want to risk my presents haul this year. We ordered two brewed coffees. It was our first time here and it was a little bit of a learning curve to figure out this is a "make it your way" coffee experience. You order your size coffee and fix it with plenty of options: milk, oat milk, almond milk, and flavors: vanilla, hazelnut, pumpkin spice. We ordered two coffees, an almond pastry, and a breakfast sandwich: sausage, egg, and biscuit with pepper jam. I wanted bacon but that was sold out for the day. The breakfast sandwich was pre-made and pulled from, I assume, a warming tray. Wasn't sure how I felt about that - I got it immediately how long was it in the warmer? ‍ The biscuit itself was delicious, pepper jelly was a nice touch (slightly sweet, slightly peppery), the sausage was so-so (not bad at all). My wife really liked the make it your way coffee bar. Many coffee drinks are waaaaay to sugary these days. I kind of prefer seeing what the barista comes up. Both of our coffees turned out well and we really enjoyed them. Our greeting by the person behind the counter felt ... meh. You know how occasionally you go somewhere and it feels like they're thinking "oh .. it's YOU". Kind of felt like that. Other patrons were greeted warmly. Seems like a friendly neighborhood spot. I would absolutely go back, and I have already recommended Red Truck (same day as this visit). What could be better? Mixed feelings on the biscuit not being freshly made. Totally respect the approach of only offering the make it your way coffee bar, but also would like the option to have a pro make one for me. The three rating could become a four easily. Would want to visit again to update this review.

One of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had

What a darling little bakery, with ample parking and tons of goodies inside! They were a little picked out of inventory (or maybe it was elsewhere idk) pie/cake/bread wise, but they had a bunch of different goodies in the display case. I bought a cinnamon roll and a blueberry lemon muffin. I've only had the cinnamon roll so far but I know I'm in for a treat with the muffin because the cinnamon roll was OUTSTANDING. It was full of cinnamon, the roll was soft and easy to eat (sometimes rolls get hard - not at this place to my knowledge but in general). The icing was the perfect compliment to the cinnamon roll, not too much, not too little. The service was super friendly, I think perhaps the owner was up front working the counter. I felt like I was being welcomed into a friend's home when I first walked in, when I ordered, and when she said goodbye. They've got a cute little sitting area to the right, very coffee-house vibe. I would absolutely recommend this place!!

Stopped in for breakfast this morning - it's been a long time since I visited this Red Truck Bakery location - but after discovering the hot pre-made breakfast biscuits they sell at the Marshall, VA location - I was craving another one. The biscuit sammich is a bacon, egg, and cheese with pepper jelly - on one of their signature biscuits! Outstanding and yummy! Paid with Apple Pay - service was good! #RedTruckBakery

The cutest bakery and coffee shop! They gave everything from bakery items, coffee, tea, cakes, breakfast sandwiches, desserts, etc. Must try!

    Shipped order upon arrival...

How is this an appropriate way to SHIP product?? We've ordered from this bakery for years...typically muffins are individually packaged. The taste/flavor of the orange cranberry muffins has been deteriorating so we decided to try the blueberry lemon muffins. This is what was received. We give up...

Holy yumminess!!! This place has some many wonderful baked goods options. Me and my kids left with happy bellies! We enjoyed the cinnamon roll, orange candies cupcake, a strawberry cheese danish (I believe). Would easily eat them all again. Took home a loaf of focaccia bread and my only regret was that I only brought 1 loaf home and not 2. We ate it so fast!

Tiny, quaint, delicious. That's how I'd summarize this place. If it were roomier and had more parking I'd give it 5 stars. They have a fantastic assortment of pies as well, and during the holidays these go fast. I never seem to get here fast enough but one day I will. I usually visit their other location in Marshall but occasionally I visit the original here. The breakfast sandwiches and coffee are just as great.

Very very cute place. The timing of operations is suspect. I assumed since it was a bakery, it would be open earlier, like 7 am. Not so, but it didn't disappoint. I looked around and wanted some kind of a pastry with egg sandwich, but I opted for a nicely moist, tender, succulent peach and raspberry muffin. The coffee did not disappoint either. Next. Time I go back I'll inquire about where they get their coffee. I'd rather support this venue instead of Starbucks...

It's towards the beginning/end of Warrenton's Main Street, and it had more options that we were even ready for (hence the multiple times we went back up to the counter to try a new goodie). Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, despite the fact I could not finish my Star Spangled Drink bc it had a whole scoop of ice cream in there! My intentions were to finish it, but my husband had to help. The food was a perfect light breakfast packed with flavor, but the treats and lemonade had even more! Those Oreo cake balls were chefs kiss along with the lemonade... it was so fresh. Also, we didn't finish all of our treats in this outing, but since we took the cinnamon roll home we heated it up for 5 mins on 350... also chefs kiss. Next time we go, we know we're going to order two of the pizza pockets, Oreo cake balls, and might try a regular lemonade with strawberry or lavender syrup-- all with a specialty drink of course Check this place out on the morning you don't know where to go, and you won't be disappointed!

**** updated response to owner ***…read more I hear what you're saying about space and production limits, but that's exactly the point. If your setup can't support the volume and variety you're offering, then the issue is planning, not just space. Offering 16+ flavors while running out of plain bagels (or any bagels for that matter) before 10:30am isn't a demand anomaly, it's a mismatch between your menu and your capacity. Make fewer varieties, produce more of the basics, and you don't lose customers walking out. This isn't about comparing you to high-volume shops, it's about getting the fundamentals right. Plain bagels are the baseline. If those are gone, the rest of the menu doesn't really matter. End result is still the same, long wait, no product, lost sale. ***** Waited 12 minutes at Weird Dough Bagels this morning just to be told they were out of multiple bagels, including plain. Plain bagels... gone before 10:30am. If your concept is 16+ flavors, maybe figure out how to not run out of the one thing every single customer expects you to have. This isn't "high demand," it's bad planning. I'm from New York and I've never seen a bagel shop miss on basics like this. And in all the years going to Bodo's Bagels, I've never seen them run out of bagels, period. As a former café owner, running out of core items isn't quirky or artisanal, it's a failure. Walked out without ordering, about a $50 ticket lost because you couldn't manage inventory on the most basic product you sell. Do less, do it better. Right now it's neither.

New location, updated review! Still the great customer service they've always had. A great dine-in…read moreor take-out location now. They have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside, or you can order to-go. They also have coffee, pastries, and other drinks (soda, water, etc.). Parking is available on the street or in one of the many municipal lots in town, so don't be discouraged by their old town location. Even from a municipal lot, it's a short walk to their shop. They're open during the day now, but are about to start evenings Thurs-Sat with mocktails and melt sandwiches!
