I left without making a purchase. Today I needed measure marked plastic paint containers: all sizes out of stock. Sea sponge: In-stock at $30 each, (I purchased two earlier today from another locally owned paint store for $7.99 each - I'm heading back there now). I'd like to see this shop succeed. The location is great and the staff are helpful. Hopefully this review will be received as constructive criticism prompting improved stock management and discontinued price gouging.

I said I needed some keys copied and was told the different options to choose from. I went with standard gold (but looking at their different varieties, I just might come back next time for a fancy printed one). The workers were super friendly and I definitely felt welcomed. You honestly can't beat the price they charge too & they work quick! As my keys were being made, I was able to pet and play with their "2nd best worker," Jackson. He was the sweetest doggo (as of today, he's 15 months), i wish i was able to stay and play with him more. As I was paying to leave, Jackson put his head on my foot. Would recommend this hardware store if you are looking for any merchandise for fixing up your house. I've been here once before long ago when I was needing to fix holes in my walls from horrible drilling & left with what I needed. Everyone here is friendly and super welcoming and can answer any hardware questions you have!

Their drawers of nuts, bolts, and screws is extensive - and they are very willing to help match a nut to a bolt or a bolt to nut. They help throughout the store, but that they are willing to think through a problem like matching a nut to bolt - a sale under 50 cents - gives an idea of how dedicated they are to helping out. My main reasons for buying there? 1. You cannot consistently match the service at the big box stores. 2. This is a small business with hard worker owner and staff in a real neighborhood service oriented business. There are not many left. 3. They are very willing to special order and to take the time to do that even for small orders. Small or large, I go there first and very rarely do I have to look further.

Their customer care is also second to none. Samantha was beyond helpful, and patiently offered insights and help to navigate my choices and orders. Before discovering Belmont, my searches and purchases only led to frustration due to samples being different to how they appeared online, and other stores not really being specialized. I knew nothing about door hardware at the outset and have reached the conclusion that knobs and handles are best selected when you can touch them and view a wide range. Next time I'll go straight to Belmont for any new door/cabinet hardware because of their range and helpful, knowledgeable team. Great experience!

Today 9/28/24 I visited the location only needed to grab some sundries, while there I was greeted by a young employee ( I don't kno their pronouns) and they proceeded to help me. After I was done they then asked an older lady to open something up for they can cash me out. The older lady didn't seem to want to help the younger employee, they asked her again to open it up again and the older lady said some things that I didn't think was ok. The older lady stepped up and proceeded to cash me out. As being a customer and a person who lead a team ; after reading the older lady badge and it said assistant manager,I do not think the older lady handled the younger employee with respect. Once again this was at the Oakland location and I think if she has a problem teaching she does not need to be in management.
