There was no pressure to buy just answers to questions I had. Before I bought the car there were a couple of concerns I had and they were fixed immediately. My husband had had a stroke and was not able to be a part of the process. We had been to several other used car dealerships that tried to take advantage of the fact that it was my first time buying a car on my own but Jason took his time and let me go at my own pace. We love our new car and after checking around we appreciated the very fair price . I would recommend them to everyone looking for a used car!

It was a coolant sensor which cost $466.00 to repair with the additional extended warranty, so he paid it. A month later the check engine light came on again so he bought a code scanner and found out it was a misfire in cylinder 1 so he took it back to their service department to be fixed but the service rep listened to the engine running and told him it could be the spark plug and the coil pack. He told him it would cost a lot more for West Point to fix it and it would be cheaper to fix himself. So he did. A month later the check engine light came on again. He finally had to take it in to their service department to look at because the car would not accelerate on the highway. They told us it would be 2 weeks before they could even look at it, so he left it hoping they would look at it sooner if someone cancelled. Surprise. We had to call them after 3 weeks to find out what was wrong with the car. My son was told the head gasket was a bust and it would be too much time to repair and they couldn't get parts for 2 months. The best option was to replace it with a used engine that had 78,000 miles on it for 7100 dollars. They handed me an invoice for 10,644 dollars in order to repair the car, but said that wasn't the cost! We confronted Jason about selling stripped down warranties where important boxes on page 4 were not checked and he said that would have been a surcharge. We never even saw those boxes at the time of sale nor did we have the surcharge option. I asked the service department to produce denial paperwork for the repairs and I asked the warranty company to produce denial paperwork. I still haven't gotten it and that was more than 2 weeks ago. In a nut shell, they sold us a car they knew had these issues because there is literally a class action law suit brought against Ford for this very problem and probably used a sealant like KSeal to hide the problem for a while, sold us a stripped down DOWC (which stands for dealer owned warranty company) and then basically told us there was nothing they could do about it and pretty much they didn't care. In addition their service department guy wanted to assault my fiancé in the parking lot and then called the police on us. The Better Business Bureau has been contacted and a complaint has been filed along with a complaint to the Michigan department of the Attorney General. If you have gotten to this point, you can contact me at kapage1970@yahoo.com and I will be happy to pass along any information in regards to what I have found out about the warranties and their shady business practices.

I had to drop it off at the mechanic immediately. I found out the starter was going out, the battery was bad, and after filling the tank, I lost a quarter of a tank of gas just sitting in the mechanic's parking lot -- which turned out to be a fuel pump leak. The dealership did pay for those repairs, but the car was gone for a week. When I finally got it back, the check engine light came on again -- another $200 sensor. After that, I discovered the headlights didn't work properly. They lit up, but the light only reached about three feet in front of the car, making night driving unsafe. When I told the dealership, they said they had "put enough money into this car" and only paid for half of the headlight repair. On top of that, they told me they were giving me $1,000 off the price, but when I checked the paperwork, they had actually charged me $1,000 over the price.I also kept hearing a rattling noise on startup. I finally caught it on video and took it to my mechanic -- he confirmed it's the timing chain, which is a $6,200 repair at the Chevy dealership. When I brought this concern to the dealership, they told me maybe I "need a new mechanic" and said it wasn't covered. All of this happened before I even made my first car payment. Not to mention they had it fully inspected with sticker still on the window, I think some things got overlooked. I'm writing this review so other people don't end up in the same situation. Be extremely careful buying from this dealership. Get your own inspection, double‑check the paperwork, and don't rely on their word. I wish I had known what I was walking into.

When I declined the work, they left the claim open in the portal, blocking me from taking my vehicle elsewhere. Communication was non-existent. Their customer satisfaction rep (Maya) reached out, heard my concerns, and promised that a manager or the owner would call me back within 24 to 48 hours. Neither ever did. Days passed with total radio silence, forcing me to drive down to the dealership in person to get basic answers. When I met with Tina Robinson in person, she explained that because they are an independent dealer, they aren't obligated to stick to standard warranty pricing. To her credit, Tina did step up right then, canceled the open claim over the phone, and refunded half of my diagnostic fee. While Tina handled the exit professionally, a service department that hits warranty customers with excessive markups and whose management and ownership refuse to return calls until you show up on their doorstep is completely unacceptable.

Then they proceeded to come at me with all these additional issues and stipulations. He kept asking me to do things that I had already said no to as if I was being ridiculous for not being able to. This went on for three days, with several hours and a couple of follow-ups in between contacts. I pulled some strings and spent some time budgeting to put together the down payment they told me would make the deal and let them know. At around 1pm the following day I hadn't heard back beyond an acknowledgement, so I reached out yet again. Several hours later I got a response that they still "couldn't do it." Reviews on Google are glowing. I almost felt badly harming their star rating because of a few bad eggs. Yelp users' opinions are definitely closer to what I would expect. I'm assuming in an attempt to avoid having me tell others about my experience with them, I had a person from customer care reach out to inquire - which I've never experienced from a dealership before. They convinced me to give up 3 more days of car searching elsewhere to try to make something happening. Instead, I got a novel of text messages trying to justify why he couldn't make it happen and blaming the the lender. When I pointed out that it was him that asked me for those days' patience without a foolproof plan and not the bank, he let me know that he never made any promises on our "recorded call." He said come back when you have more money up front, which felt a little like a cheap shot considering our "recorded call" was a lot of discussion about how I own a residential cleaning company and can't get to jobs without a vehicle. Hence, the reason not wasting time was of the essence. It's easy to ask people to give up more of their valuable time when it's not them having to make any sacrifices. The least they can do is make damn sure they can make something happen instead of blowing hot air. I don't blame them for things they can't control. I'm frustrated about how they handled the things they can.
