I mean... why fake grass if you can give your dogs the real experience instead of touching plastic with their paws.... anyways that's another topic. This dog park is small but gets very busy. Most people are residents or live nearby. If you're not sure where to find a lot of dogs for yours to play with, this park might just be it. Watch out. Because it's fake grass, even if the owners pick up the poop it'll leave doodooo residuals EVERYWHERE on the grass.

The park is covered primarily in astroturf and includes two fire hydrants, some benches, a three port water fountain, and 3 poop bag dispensers (one on each end and one in the middle). The park itself is pretty much always clean. Many of the dogs are from the neighborhood so there are a lot of regular. Practically all the owners we have met are also pretty nice. If you're driving to the park, there is a ton of parking in the area. Only downside is that meters in Mission Bay go until 10pm, but that's no fault of the park. The park is open from 6am until 10pm and we have found that the best time to go is in the morning before work or in the later evening, post 8pm. The park can be especially busy right after working hours and, for us, we try not to go during this time. We love this park and go to it almost daily!

The street isn't huge, yet I always find ample spots. -huge park with mixed terrain: big grassy area, some dirt/sandy areas that are great for digging, and the steep hill sides that the dogs can go up and explore between trees & bushes -FULLY GATED!!! I wish we had more of this in SF. Your doggies are full secure here. -actually a decent amount of seating?? Some benches, some picnic tables, some random plastic chairs -stunning views. How lucky are we to have such beautiful views during a casual dog park visit! -my only small complaint is that the dogs often end up doing their own thing and wander around since the park is so large; I find that dogs tend to play more and run around when a park is a little smaller and they're more in each other's space. This is a good or bad thing depending on what you're looking for.

The layout is more challenging and perfect for little explorers who love to climb, balance, and stay active. My 3-year-old always finds something new to do, and it keeps them engaged for a long time. I also appreciate that babies aren't left out--there are designated areas where younger kids can safely play too. The restroom is conveniently located and clean, which is a big plus for families. That said, some of the rocky edges can be a bit risky for adventurous kids, so it's definitely a place where you'll want to keep a close eye on them at all times. The only downside is parking--it can be pretty tough to find a spot, especially during busy times. Overall, it's a fun and exciting playground that's great for kids of different ages, as long as you're prepared for a bit of supervision and a parking hunt!

Find it in the southeast area of the park. It's bordered by Arguello Boulevard, Kezar Drive, and Lincoln Way. Close to the park entrance. This is a popular spot for locals. Good area for the dog owners to come. It's usually not that crowded here. This is also close to the carousel and the children's area with rides and things.

It was great to stop by and train my pup for the first time in agility equipment :) The equipment is good for training but there isn't a lot of room for dog play unless they are small dogs. I wouldn't really say this is a dog park, maybe enough for 3 small or 2 medium/large dogs. Not sure how many people train their dogs here. When I was there, there were 3 locals that walked with their dog quickly past the dog park, not even taking a second glance. The equipment is pretty good, only one of them was cracked/needs a replacement. Parking in the street was easy to find.
