They have some tasty brews. Decent pricing and a nice dining area inside and outside. They have some interesting "sushi" items on the menu like The Wall burrito. No tortilla, but wrapped in seaweed. Lots of lettuce, a few shrimp, not much yellowtail and bluefin. Too little for the $9 50 price. Surf Brewing just moved into a new location across the street from Las Gaviotas. It's a vast improvement from the old location down the street. The new location is bigger and more airy. There is a bar and an outdoor seating area. There was also a band on the day we were there. The beer selection is excellent. My favorite is the Cerveceria Transpeninsular 3 which is an IPA. We also tried the Hazy Pale Ale and the Roundhouse Red Ale. Both were good. As for food you get the usual chips and salsa. The salsa is more of a cheesy salsa, but good. I tried the Bluefin Tuna Roll, which was excellent and spicy. This will be a regular stop on our trips to Baja. read more

Wow, this place was awesome. They had a broad ranging menu that satisfied my family's wide-ranging tastes: vegetarian, flexetarian, sushi, great craft beer, and great wine. The service was awesome, too. They definitely know that their clientele tends to be Gringos and provide service accordingly. Normally I like to do it Mexican style when I've in Mexico, but were were hungry and it was cold and rainy when we went. We needed food and drinks fast, and they delivered. What a gem! Went in for lunch. Had the AAI salad and guacamole. The salad was extraordinary. The fish was so fresh and delicious melted in your mouth! The service and attention to detail is superb. The beer was refreshing but the food was just ok. Surf Brewing is a good spot to have some beer. They have a wide selection, the atmosphere is laid back, and the service is friendly (but slow). The beers are on point. The food, however, is hit and miss. The fish tacos were good! They were flavorful and filling. However, I wasn't a fan of the ceviche because of the strong KETCHUP flavor. There was just too much ketchup for my liking. Also, the sushi rice was meh and left something to be desired. A bit hard and stale. I say, stick to the tacos and beer! This is a little hidden gem. Don't let the outside scare you. It's located on the 2nd floor. Important to note. This place is super nice! Great craft beers and the bartender Sergio makes amazing craft cocktails! We went on a Saturday evening and we were pleasantly surprised that a band was playing in their outside patio. This is a great place to go for craft beer, Mezcal, and local wines as well as wonderful sushi. Their salsa and chips are good, has a great spice. The sushi rolls are huge and so fresh. All the fish is caught locally and even better they have a stone crab roll. The poke bowls are so full as well.
