I hardly ever give reviews, but this one deserves one because it is hilarious!!!
Where to begin? OMG -- WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, POORLY MANAGED!!
I was there for 5 1/2 hrs to get an average haircut and a HORRIBLE hair dye, like I could have done it better with one hand and the BILL: $180 and you do not want to know the breakdown!! I was ripped off, but whatever, I understand the owner had to make some money for her Vegas trip, and to make up for those almost-six hours that I was there. So this is a passive aggressive review:
1. She was 20 minutes late to our 10am appointment and when I called her, her excuse was that she got there at 9:30 and she went to get coffee because she was waiting for me since then. WAIT WHAT?? our apt was at 10 AM lady...
2. She got there rushing, walked me in since my hair was wet, she said to go ahead and blow dry it myself while she went to the back to park her car.
3. It took her a while to set up once she came back, I asked her if she would have time to dye my hair dark burgundy, she said yes. Since I breastfeed she suggested a more expensive dye $40. I asked how much it could cost and how long. She politely said "Ahorita te digo" which mean "I'll tell you right now" but she never told me. ***** this is a very important note... keep reading.
4. Hair cut done. I liked it. She then said she doesnt have the color and that her supply guy should be there in half hour. RIGHT!!! I said I would come back and she would not let me go, she offered me coffee, and started a deep conversation. One hour and ten minutes went by until the supply guy got there.
5. I saw the size of the tubes and they were a pretty decent size, I thought she would need one MAYBE 2 for my hair.
6. She started to mix the color, and the amount must have been the same amount that comes on one of those boxes you buy at the store. At this point after conversations and conversations she had already asked me where I lived, what I did for living, what kind of car I drove, and what my husband did for a living etc. TOTALLY CUSTOMER PROFILING
7. I asked her how long would it take to dye my hair because I have a baby at home that needs feeding. She said it wouldn't t take long that this dye was faster than the other, this one took like 2 hours, and that the other one she could have used would take 5 hours.
8. From 1:30pm - 4:30pm I had the dye on my hair. She asked if I wanted highlights, she suggested red, blonde or copper. Since the plan was dark burgundy (AND I SHOWED HER THE PICTURE) we agreed that copper would look good. After 1 hour of the dye on my hair the color was turning light brown not red and not purple. she wrapped my head with foil. I started to get frustrated bec of all the time I had already been there, she still hasnt told me how much or how long and I am hungry. Yes, I do eat!!!! After wrapping my head in foil she asked that I stood outside for 20 minutes, outside her salon that is when is over 100 degrees. Came back inside, she checked the color and asked me to stand outside longer, I thought it was hilarious but the dye was on my head, so there was no turning back. She then used the blow dryer and started blow-drying over the foil to get it hot. at this point I said that i needed to know if the color was gonna come out burgundy or not, and how much longer would I need to stay because my husband texted that baby was on her second bottle... i shared this with the lady and her RUDE ASS dared to insult my husband!!!! Then said that it is all his fault that the color wont come out because he is rushing me and that she is doing her best... lady 2 hours had passed and the color was getting light brown... Then she said that it was the supply guy fault because he brought the wrong color, then it was the weather... (she didn't say the weather, but almost did) She rinsed my head the color??? EVERY SHADE OF BROWNS AND BLONDES BUT BURGUNDY... She blow-dried my hair, styled it. She had the nerve to say that it was better light brown than burgundy because if I am going to do something to my hair it might as well be something that really shows... umm thanks?? It is my hair right? and I am not asking for charity, I am paying you correct?? the "HIGHLIGHTS" looked like a paint brush of bleach went over my head... for real!!
PEOPLE THOUGHT I DID IT MYSELF!!
She then said the total was $300, then she said she was kidding it was $180.
Breakdown: $120 dye, $35 Hair cut, $30 Labor.
She said if I didnt like it to go back and she would fix it... but honestly she doesn't know what she's doing or maybe she forgot how to do it... but I know for a fact she didnt use 3 tubes on my hair, and I do not trust her anymore.
I went to a different place in a better location where they actually charged me much less to re-do the work.
I'm not mad, I am pretty disappointed with Colima Beauty Salon read more
