    Pastor Taco

From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome! Greeted with the most enthusiasm I've experienced in awhile. The lady who took our order (she may have been the owner) was so pleasant and friendly. We ordered our food...pastor, Asada, and Chicken tacos. Everything was made fresh and presented beautifully. There was a bar with toppings so you can put whatever you wanted on them. She told us it would be a min because they were making fresh tortillas The tacos were AMAZING!! Very substantial amount of flavorful meats. They were all sooo good. As Texans visiting California, we know Mexican food.... And this was dare I say just as good as food at home! This place is home run... GO HERE!!!

Some of the best tacos I have ever had! First you get fresh made tortillas that are thick and do not fall apart. The salsa bar and pickled onions plus the guacamole topped it off. The nachos were nice thick chips that had the perfect crunch, we did the chupacabra (asada, chicken and pastor) we also tried the alambre which was delicious! If you have not given this place a try it is a must for a quick stop off 99. The only downside is they are closed on Sundays! We were able to order fresh tortillas to go as well to enjoy on the road!

First off. The hospitality of this place is unmatched by anything else I've ever experienced. Family owned/operated this is probably my overall favorite taqueria I've ever been to. The meats are perfectly cooked and the chicken actually has so much flavor to it that's just not salt or dried out. The pastor is sliced fresh off the spit and the carne is like eating bites of perfectly cooked steak. Super easy stop off the highway and well worth it if you're ever in the area and craving a taco or burrito and treated like a sibling. They are absolutely the best!!

Amazing tacos ! I'm a trucker from LA area we stopped by to try. These are one of the best authentic tacos I've ever had! From now on I'll be stopping by to pick up some tacos! Service was very good, super welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for such a great visit. Ps There is Convenient trucker parking nearby !

You walk in and the lady at the front is so sweet and bubbly and even gave us samples of the pastor and asada to try. You can see the huge rotating barbecue in the back and it just smells so good. The tacos were so flavorful and the crispy meat was top tier. The sauces were also great with them. Would highly rec if you're ever driving the area!

I travel for work and one of my employees recommended Colimas. They were so inviting and friendly and the tacos didn't disappoint. Clean and it was taco Tuesday so $2.50 for the chicken and pastor. Homemade tortillas soooooo good. Because it was my first time they were gracious enough to give me a sample asada, pollo, and pastor! I'll be back for sure and if you're in Chowchilla I encourage you to stop here to eat!

Fantastic, fresh, authentic food and great friendly service. We had the el Pastor and carne asada tacos, quesadilla and burrito--simply delicious and the hot fresh tortillas and salsa bar were the cherry on top!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! What an authentic place to come and grab food! I went on my lunch and felt like I could relax with the ambiance! Great food, great people. They even gave me a sample of eat meat to try before I ordered! Plus their TORTILLAS ARE HAND-MADE! You can't pass this up. Great spot in this community! You can even call and order ahead. I took pictures so you can see!

My first thought when I saw the signs go up was "Another taco place"? I'm so glad I came here. I ordered the Chupacabra torta made with asada & al pastor. Perfectly toasted bread, green salsa on the side. Melty, meaty and delicious. I'll be back later this week for the baked potato.

And most places that sell Indian tacos use the cheapest version of those ingredients they can find, cheap ground beef, discount, pre-shredded cheese and iceberg lettuce. They just seem a little gimmicky. Where this place shines is their jams and jellies. Those are amazing!!! Homemade, flavorful and delicious the jams are the reason you need to swing by! We bought a few jars and with every spoonful we revel in their wonderfulness while simultaneously mourning the fact that we're one precious serving closer to an empty jar. Go get a bunch of jam! And if you accidentally have a mediocre "taco" on the way out, then so be it.

This place had been on my Yelp "to try" list for ages, so I was super stoked to finally be able to…read moregive them a try. Finding the taco stand was hard. I was expecting a taco truck in a casino parking lot, but this was more like a deluxe wooden shack on private property. Prior to this, I'd only had 'Indian tacos' once before, at a Native American cultural day at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. That one time was pretty much enough to make me a fan for life. Frybread tacos are all about the frybread. Truth be told, the filings don't matter. (As I write this, I can imagine a future full of gourmet 'Indian' tacos on Instagram, but...) The tacos are filled with cheap, super basic ingredients like full fat ground beef, iceberg lettuce, beef tomatoes, and "Mexican cheese blend." It's basically "white people taco night" on frybread. To me, having grown up in extreme poverty, these tacos taste like surviving poverty. They taste like a kind of soul food that you can only understand if you've lived it. (So if I see any too-privileged people knocking stars off because these tacos are exactly what they're supposed to be, I'll be shook.) When I saw the menu, I couldn't believe how cheap it all was. I'm pretty sure they need to raise their prices. I ordered a taco and a burrito (and got completely stuffed) for less than ten bucks. The ladies who work here all seemed super sweet. It didn't take long to get my order, and, in case this isn't clear by now, it was so good. I loved it. I plan to come back with friends.

As soon as we looked over the menu, my mouth was already watering. We ordered the aguachiles verdes, the molcajete supreme, and I added a side of fries. When I say the food came out fast, I mean FAST, especially for food this fresh. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and checked in just enough without being overbearing. The aguachile was honestly one of the best I've had. The green sauce was incredibly flavorful, perfectly balanced, and everything tasted fresh and vibrant. The molcajete supreme did not disappoint. The sauce was rich and delicious, and the portion of carne and shrimp was generous and very satisfying. You can tell care goes into the food here. And somehow, even the fries were amazing .... crispy, hot, and the perfect side. If you're passing through on your way to Yosemite, this place is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back.
