I have always had a good experience but today was the first time that I truly felt like my experience was exceptional. It made me look forward to coming back instead of dreading another dentist visit. Amanda took care of me today. She was not only patient but also gentle with me. She gave me detailed information and ran me through everything she was doing. I also mentioned that I hated the strawberry flavored polish cream because the smell makes me nauseous and she even offered an alternative; no one had mentioned this before. Scammers! Be cautious and get a second opinion. I was told at this office that I needed over $11,000 worth of dental work, including 3-4 crowns and 3 fillings. When I was told I needed that much extensive work, I immediately felt something wasn't right. I decided to call my previous dentist (even though it's a longer drive) and get a second opinion. I'm very thankful I did. They confirmed I only needed 2 fillings and 1 crown which made much more sense. I'm grateful I trusted my instincts, because getting a second opinion saved me about $8,500 and prevented unnecessary dental work. It's unfortunate that patients have to seek second opinions to feel confident, but that's the reality. If you're told you need extensive or costly treatment here, I strongly recommend getting another opinion before moving forward. read more

Where do i even begin? My journey with CAD started about 3 years ago, after i decided to walk up to their booth at Todos Santos Plaza! I was seeking a long-term dental practice that was close to my home and provided a wide range of services. Unfortunately i was involved in an accident over 10 years ago, that resulted in the permanent loss of my front tooth. CAD was NOT ONLY able to provide the multitude of other services that i needed (root canal, wisdom tooth extraction, and deep cleaning), they also guided me through the process of getting my dental implant!!!!!! My husband and I decided to switch dentists after my husband was told that his crowns (which were recently done by a previous dentist who moved out of state) needed to be replaced.Our new dentist didn't think they needed to be replaced. Our adult son decided to stay with them until he was told that he needed new crowns. The treatment plan total was $4,883; out-of pocket $1189. He received a second opinion from our dentist. The opinion was that they didn't need to be replaced. He would have gone through the cost and discomfort for nothing. read more

After receiving a cleaning from C.A.D I was presented a bill of $500+ and was told that I had to cover out of network cost. The front desk told me I had to pay over $100+ due to being out of network. I agreed to pay. Now after over a month they contacted me a told me their almost perfect estimating system was off by over $100 and NOW are coming after me to pay additional cost. Would it be better to NOT estimate and charge the accurate amounts at the time of the visit? How about don't ask your patient to pay unless you are certain the charges are accurate? read more

Due to my long-time family dentist becoming out of network for my health insurance plan, I had to find a new one. After exploring several options, I settled on Concord Advanced Dentistry, primarily due to its proximity to my home. The process was straightforward. The receptionist I spoke to was extremely helpful in scheduling appointments for me, my wife, and our two children. The intake forms were easy to complete online. During my previous dental check-up, I discovered I had cavities that required crowns, which was frustrating despite my diligent oral hygiene routine. Arriving for my appointment on February 2nd, I was surprised by the condition of the office interior, which appeared dated and in need of renovation. After being checked in by the friendly staff, I was taken to my exam room. The examination light looked old and dusty, but the x-ray process proceeded as expected. Then Dr. Hema Patel came in and introduced herself to me. She already seemed frustrated (as if she had seen my x-rays outside of the room). She opened them on a screen and proceeded to tell me the terrible condition my teeth were in, as if I didn't already know about the state of my dental health. Still, I can take it when somebody is straightforward with me. I'm in sales and have thick skin, so that wasn't the issue. What was the issue was the fact that Dr. Patel was cold, abrasive, and incompassionate. She questioned my dental habits skeptically and criticized my flossing technique, despite my assurance that I followed recommended practices. Dr. Patel's implication that I wasn't taking my dental health seriously left me feeling ashamed and belittled. Despite my attempts to explain my frustration, Dr. Patel remained dismissive and unprofessional. The treatment plan provided was unexpectedly expensive compared to previous estimates, prompting me to seek a second opinion. Upon consultation with Dr. Rosalyn Burke, I discovered a significant price difference, with Dr. Burke attributing it to the higher cost associated with Concord Advanced Dentistry's in-house crown printing machine. However, she warned against its reliability compared to traditional methods. During my appointment with Dr. Burke, she reassured me that my dental issues were not solely my responsibility, citing previous dental work as a contributing factor. In conclusion, my experience with Concord Advanced Dentistry, particularly with Dr. Hema Patel, was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend their services. read more

I would leave a zero if I could. Find yourself a dentist that cares about you as a human and not as a paycheck. My dad is terminally ill with cancer and I just had to hear him explain multiple times he's been given the death sentence to your office. Where do you find the audacity to convince him to come into the office when there's no serious issues going on? The correct response would be to say you're sorry to hear that news and you'll be available should he have any issues needing immediate attention. It just makes your office look very money hungry and greedy. I recommend finding a dentist that has morals and values that they apply to their clientele. read more

I've been coming here for....9 years, and I LOVE THEM. I love Dr. Blazer AND Dr. Stacey, and the hygienists! Everybody is kind and attentive and I never get crap for drinking too much coffee or not flossing enough. My teeth make me nervous because my mom and maternal grandmother both had a lot of issues. Before coming here I would get so worked up about going that I eventually stopped, until I chipped a tooth the week before I got married. I called on a Friday and Dr. Blazer was so sweet to call me back over the weekend while she was out of town visiting HER mom and had me come in the following Monday. She took care of it and checks on the tooth and repair at least every other visit. I go faithfully and so does my 16yo daughter. Working on my husband. I love to hear Dr. Blazer talk to my daughter, who still acts like a toddler when it comes to how she cares for her teeth. Dr. Blazer kindly, but sternly tells that kid to get her act together and take care of her chompers! I will say that I don't 100% blame my daughter for being over it, she's had ortho since she was 4 1/2 and will have a major surgery in the next year or so. She's had to "take care" of them for a long time already and more than most people. Overall, I 100,000% recommend Dr. Blazer and her staff. I had to cancel a same-day appointment because I woke up sneezing, congested, with a low-grade fever. Because we are currently experiencing a pandemic, I really felt that the dentist would not appreciate me coming in and sneezing in his face. So I called to cancel, and was told I would have to pay a cancellation fee of SEVENTY FIVE dollars. I asked to speak to the benefits manager, who ultimately agreed to waive the fee, but not before arguing with me about whether I really needed to cancel, or could I "just take something". I said no...I have a fever and we're in a pandemic. I'm supposed to pay $75 for the privilege of keeping the dental staff safe? NO. Will not be going back. Oh yeah, they also sent my husband a bill for someone else's dental work (same last name), and scheduled an appointment in my child's name that was actually meant for another person with the same first name. read more

Fancy equipment may impress some... But in our 4 visits, they tried to upsell us while contraptions were in mouth -- add-ons not covered by insurance! Which was only obvious after asking all the right questions and asking to talk - ie take that thing out of my mouth. High tech cameras will point out all the imperfections in teeth - neat technology. BUT Im not looking for the perfect mouth and they made me feel like my mouth was a mess when in fact I have great teeth and NO CAVITIES! No one has ever made me feel that way. Additionally, after two different routine cleanings, we were unexpectedly BILLED for things "not covered by our insurance." When we called them on it (we were only there for a routine cleaning and had no prior knowledge of extra procedures), they said it was a "billing error." Two times? Money hungry. I did not feel cared for, neither did my husband, and will not return after giving them a try for four visits. read more

Wow....a.maz.ing. Such a kind, friendly and knowledgeable staff - up to date facility that is clean and comfortable. Dr. Blazer's assistant did a superb job of taking my x-rays and attending to my every need. Dr. Blazer herself is extraordinarily kind and welcoming. She not only took care of my teeth and gums, but she actually got me interested in flossing - that is definitely a first. She is high energy (for better or worse!), so she swoops in like a crazy tornado, but she is full of love and her calm staff balance her out. You might not think this important to watch for, but those same staff include the people who are cleaning my teeth and handling my bills and appointments.
