First time there and it was amazing, we were on a work trip from Clearwater to Fort Myers and found this restaurant to try it out. Since we walked in we were welcomed and they were very attentive and the food OMG was delicious!!! Had a cuban Sandwich which was packed with a lot of meat, they received us with a little bread that was delicious and I had the lava cake dulce de leche with Turron ice cream Iykyk to go and was also amazing!!! OMG! This is THE best Cuban food I've ever had. Staff greeted us so pleasantly and made sure we were comfortable. Then two lovely ladies who had just finished their meals offered us some suggestions about what to order. I got the Skirt Steak with chimichurri sauce which AMAZING and my friend got the Vaca Frita which literally melted in your mouth and popped with flavor! Absolutely amazing Cuban food! It's a different setup and feels new concerning service. You can get your own beverage from a cooler in the restaurant. They had a decent selection of beers and non-alcoholic beverages. It's a small eatery, but man the food! They seemed busy with pick-up orders when we went. But damn, the food! I'm Cuban American, born in raised in Miami. Know very well tasty Cuban foods. Been here in Cape Coral FL. Exactly a year. I can tell you out of 4 other Cuban I've been too, hands down to this little restaurant. Food was well seasoned and very nice ambiet and great service. Just keep in mind is a very small place and it may take a bit long for food to come out, but is worth the wait. Also is very very clean place. Looking forward to going back. Happy I found authentic Cuban food. Lol sorry was so hungry that no time to take pics of the food. read more

I ordered for takeout. Oxtail was good. I also had flan. I ordered 2 flan. They were both burnt as hell. texture was hard, and awful. I am Cuban so i know how a flan looks and tastes like. Now I don't know if because I ordered takeout they gave me the flan that was suppose to be thrown out. Because they should have thrown out if they had a bad batch. But they gave me nasty ass flan. WTF!!! That was so messed up! It's suppose to be soft and creamy texture! If you care about the service and what you feed your customers you wouldn't do something so foul. read more

I am in love with the lechon asada. The sautéed pickled onions are a perfect complement to the yucca and pork and I savored every bite. Wow. We have been waiting for a great Cuban restaurant in Cape Coral for 9 years, and Collados has come to the rescue. A small, charming spot along Del Prado that only seats around 25. It is decorated very nice............not the typical scenes of Cuban, but instead, done very tastefully. The wife runs the back, and the husband, a chef with 25 years experience, cooks with love in the back. My test of a Cuban restaurant is always Vaca Frita, and this one ranks among the best I have ever had. Tender pieces of flank steak, fried perfectly, with onions and peppers. Just the right amount of marinade. The black beans, rice, and maduros accompanying the dish were all done perfectly. My wife's Aunt Lila has made the black beans in her familly for over 70 years, because they are the best........these beans can compete with Lila. They are great. My wife had the Palomilla and it was equally good. The meat was fork tender and extremely tasty. We ate every bite. The chef loves to cook and you can tell. Be sure to make reservations on the weekend, as this spot is rather small. The service is quick, efficient, and very pleasant. And the prices are great. We visited this restaurant for the first time. The service was amazing the restaurant is so cozy very simple decorated. Then came the food it was amazing. We had the arroz con gris with fried pork chunks omg amazing my husband had the chicken soup and the puré de malanga and he loved it i would highly recommend this place and it's very relaxing!! read more
