It's a pity that you rarely find these type of places... the type that seems as if making money is an afterthought because of the love of what they do. If you're into trains then this place is absolutely for you. They sell other types models of "traditional" models other than trains but they don't carry them in stock and require ordering.

We bought a Christmas gift that literally broke while we were still opening gifts. This was gifted to a gentle kid who was not using it outside of the expected use, and a piece broke off. I took it back to the store and the employee man-splained to me that even though it was broken, it still worked. He actually located the item on Amazon to show me what part was missing. I LITERALLY WATCHED IT BREAK. It was beyond insulting. I finally said that if he wasn't going to exchange or refund, Id like to leave (he kept the item this entire time and wasnt giving it back). Additionally, we bought a lionel item for a family member who had a duplicate. They had a record of the sale in the computer and still found a way to deny an exchange of an unopened item. Stores like this are why Amazon thrives. Even when I try to buy from the little guys, they find a way to make me regret it.

(see below) I was driving through Fort Worth during spring break so I asked about local pickup to save on shipping and Amy was super nice about it, saying that local pickup is actually an option they regularly offer. She even helped me get an item that I wanted that was listed as out of stock on the website! When I arrived at the location for pickup, Michael was just as nice as Amy had been. My haul.... *a "starter kit" (I am so not a starter, but couldn't resist) containing about 9 pens with single tip on one end and a variety of different sized tips on the other, a palette of wax, 5 small green trays, 1 small white tray with spout, baggies, a blue tray and penholder, stickers, a grouping of small plastic bins, all neatly held in a large plastic storage back (think pencil holder). *6 large white trays with removeable dam *and a hard plastic tube to protect my WIPs when I take them places with me. (this color was out of stock online but Amy knew they had one left and held it for me- she was able to give me a direct invoice for my entire purchase so I could get the teal one)

You can use a thin "pen" to pick up diamond pieces one at a time or you can use a thicker pen to quickly drop lots of pieces. I prefer the thick pens. The art isn't limited to just making a picture look great. There are notebooks, greeting cards, jewelry, bookmarks and so much more. This store is going to have classes as they expand. The rolling tube that holds the artwork is one of a kind. The warehouse was sold out of them during my visit.

I went here hoping to draft and the draft didn't fire which is an all too uncommon event at stores these days. There were lots of folks playing commander and the shop was super cool. I bought some cards and had a good time just having out chatting. If you need magic cards or other table top supplies don't skip this spot!
