I was about 5 minutes late due to weather and they were extremely accommodating and friendly. Filled out a new client form and was quickly ushered into the room. The room was nicely decorated with a comfy bed, relaxing music, and fragrant smells. Denise was very friendly and made me feel very relaxed. We got to chatting and time went by very fast, she even said I could nap if I wanted to since I was so relaxed! Lashes came out great from her. I would rate this salon and spa a solid 4.5 on the 1-5 scale! For starters, the building was very easy to find, parking is close, free and plentiful, the rooms were very clean and organized, and the service was quick and friendly. I do not get spa serviced all too often and in fact I am very protective of my hair and unfamiliar about titles of processes and what they entail. You could say I'm a little low on the sylin' scale. I heard about this spa from a friend saying she'd had an awesome experience with a partial highlight and deep condition, so I decided to give it a whirl. The appointment booking process was quick and easy (however they do book quite fast so definitely book a week or so ahead of time), and they got me right in at time of appointment arrival. Montse was my stylist and she recommended a baylayage rather than partial highlights, saying it would look more natural and fade into my regular bright blonde hair during the summer time. I'm glad I trusted her and thankful she was my stylist because she kept me talking and laughing the whole time, really creating a significant experience for me. She even offered/made me a delicious complementary coffee! Everything about the experience was perfect, the only reason I would not give this salon/spa my top of the chart five rating is due to the chemical products they use being pretty harmful for your body and the high listed pricing. At the beginning of the year, I decided I wanted to make regular facials part of my self-care routine. Of course, price was a consideration. I found this place through Yelp and have been getting monthly facials from Marissa. I chose the "Face Forward" 60 minute facial which is $85 (+tip). The spa is in an unmarked location - no sign on the building or door- so you would not know it is a salon from the outside. You have to text them from the parking lot that you are there and they will come unlock the front door. Once inside, it has a "spa" atmosphere, with a clean and modern decor. The facial itself was relaxing and soothing. No extractions are done. My skin always feels hydrated and refreshed when I leave. They offer a membership program, but it's only worth it if you plan on getting more than one service (e.g. waxing + facial). Unlike other spas I've gone to, they don't try to sell you products or quiz you on your skincare regimen. I think it's an affordable place to get a quality facial and I've been very pleased with Marissa. Appointments are quick and easy to make, and I've even had luck with last minute bookings. Today, I got my very first Brazilian was with Colleen. She was amazing and sweet to me! To make me feel comfortable and reassure if I really wanted to go through with it, she first did a bikini wax. Giving her the green light, she finished quickly. She talked to me throughout the entire session and distracted me from the pain. Customer service is a joke. I made an appointment back in August with a Groupon for a wax. I had to cancel due to a family emergency. Fast forward to today, I called to make an appointment on Monday. Did not get a call back until Thursday (after I called them again because I realized my Groupon was redeemed back in August (Bullshit). When I spoke to their "beauty consultant", she said that they redeemed it because I cancel with in 24hrs. Had I know (because I was never informed when I called to cancel) I would not given you the courtesy of a phone call. I was really excited to try this place for its awesome yelp reviews and bought a Groupon. I have to admit it took perseverance to finally reach the receptionist to schedule an appointment since they never returned my calls. At last, I was able to book an appointment two weeks in advance for a mani and pedi shellac. I was told I would receive a text reminder 24 hours in advance confirming my appointment (kinda cool!). Today, I receive a call informing me I was late to my appointment today. Confused because I didn't not receive a text 24 hours in advance she assured me I had. But I have yet to receive one to this day. Rules are rules granted and I understand it's my fault for not showing up and as a result losing my groupon deal. But to not receive a sincere apology at the very least is simply rude. Due to great customer service (sarcasm) via phone I rather spend my money elsewhere. Update: It took them 12 months to respond to my review with, " this gives ME the opportunity to let all Groupons clients know our system sends computerized reminders..." As stated in my review I did not receive one. Thank you for calling me a liar and writing a sincere apology addressing the issue. A simple response with, " Sorry for the inconvenience, we're not sure what happen during your experience. Two Words: Slightly Unhygienic I received a Brazilian wax from here. It was not my first Brazilian wax. The technician asked me if I needed to use the restroom. I said, yes. On the way to the restroom I noticed an employer eating on top of the waxing bed. That is unhygienic and dang... I kinda felt sad for her when I saw that. Anyway, the restroom was fairly clean. I actually did a double check because I was still thinking about the lady slurping up her spaghetti dinner. I went into a different waxing room and the technician gave me some hygienic items. Wow! I am not normally the type to get a massage, but I recently was given one here and I have to say it was excellent! They were very courteous and respectful. I have fairly bad allergies and they let me smell the oil they used before they used it on me to make sure I wouldn't have a reaction. I am most definitely coming back when I need a massage and will tell my friends. They do other things like facials and waxing as well but I did not use those services so I can't say. The basic package (silver) is $88 a month and you buy one hour to do what you want with it and can break it up into multiple sessions. First of all Montse was so book I was lucky to get an appointment, which actually made me feel better knowing she was so popular and in demand. The process took about two hours, and being 9 months pregnant was not easy. Montse made me feel as comfortable as possible giving me breaks to change positions, surrounding me with pillows, elevating my neck, she was extremely attentive and considerate of my condition. I told her the look I was going for, natural but as if I had mascara on and looked put together, and sure enough Montse had done exactly what I wanted.
