Best hair cut and color ever! In September right before school started Keota was able to transform me after a horrible box dye disaster and was able to get me an appointment within the week and got it all done in one session! It was the most impressive work I've ever seen and was beyond happy with the results. The rest of her team was also super helpful and friendly and I felt right at home here. I was hesitant to just shoot her a text, but after reading enough yelp reviews encouraging me to just do it I finally did. A full color correction and cut in just one session under 3 hours, she is truly one of the best and hardest working hairdressers I've encountered! This was my second time here within 2 weeks and the quality is still superb! I made a balayage appointment because my hair REALLY needed it. Over the phone Keota asked me questions (i.e. how long my hair was, if it was thick or thin, etc.) to give me a quote of how much the final cost would be. I came in a little earlier than my appointment and Keota seated me right away. I specifically told her that I did not want to bleach my hair and just wanted toner. We decided on a light brown shade. I wanted a refresher shade that would give my hair a lot of definition and make it look sun-kissed. Keota did an awesome job texturizing my hair and shading different strands so that it would frame my face well. I was so happy with how my hair came out! The color was so rich, sun-kissed, and fresh! I absolutely loved it! Keota even softly curled my hair and showed me how I can style my hair. I didn't realize how desperately my hair needed a refresher until I came here. July 2020 Update: Yesterday I drove from LA to SB to get in one last time before everything shut down again and I feel SO lucky!! The salon was immaculate, completely disinfected, had fresh air flowing in, and I felt safer than I do going to the grocery store. This is such an amazing salon, I hope Keota can stay open. If you need any product, text her, she can deliver in SB only and she always is much cheaper than everyone else! So worth the drive, she tries her best to do exactly what you ask for, and she has always done a way better job on my hair than anyone else I have tried so far. I seriously don't trust anyone else with my hair!! My hair was so short and damaged when I first came to Keota, and she told me to be patient and gave me advice to achieve my hair goals and also keep it healthy at the same time. Over a year later and my hair is looking the best, longest, and healthiest it ever has, and the color is exactly what I have wanted! Also as a side note: she has been donating so much of her time to make masks for the SB community, so if you are a doctor, student, nurse, your mask might've been made by Keota! 2020- 2nd update: Still LOVING getting my hair done with Keota! omg where do I even begin! I had such an amazing experience at Keota's hair salon and would 100% recommend her services to anyone and everyone! Keota is such a sweetheart and so much fun to be around. The minute I walked in for my appointment I immediately felt cared for and relieved knowing that I was in good hands. On a whim, I made the mistake of box dying my hair on my own, and when that went horribly wrong, I sought the expertise of a professional to try and fix what I had done to my hair. Not only was Keota incredibly knowledgeable about hair and how dye works, she was also very honest about what the most realistic approach to correcting my hair would be to achieve the look that I wanted without causing too much damage to it. Most professionals would not be this honest and caring for the client's hair health, instead they would most likely sit their client down and proceed with doing whatever they had asked for, without giving a second thought to how much damage they would be inflicting, and how costly the procedure would end up being. It is clear that unlike most salon professionals, Keota is not in it for the money, and instead truly cares about her clients and only wants the best for them. This undoubtedly shows in her services, as I left the salon with healthy, beautiful hair that exceeded my expectations! I mean Keota is truly a miracle worker! Keota is a literal dream hair stylist! She's amazing, I found her on Yelp and decided to call her for a haircut. She answered right away and we were able to make an appointment for the next day. I had some damage and breakage from bleaching my hair (not done by Keota) she helped me pick out the perfect haircut to disguise my breakage and baby hairs that were growing back in a weird direction. Thanks to yelp, I saw good reviews from maribella and one of her clients posted her number and said text her to give her a try- I'm so glad I did. Turned out she no longer works at Keota's- she now works with her brother at Justo's beauty salon in downtown Santa Barbara (33 Parker way) She did an amazing job cutting my boyfriend's hair and mine! She also touched up my ombré and added Smokey blue black and I love it! My husband said it's the best haircut he ever had. Also she is very friendly and easy to talk to, I felt like I had been her long time client and friend afterward. Unfortunately, Justo's beauty salon did not have a yelp page- it's a hole in the wall kind of place, but I was glad there was plenty of parking. It's a shame that maribella was so loved at Keota's and her reviews could not transfer over to Justo's because everyone has given her 5/5 stars. I came in super early because of the reviews about this place convinced me to try it out. I didn't have an appointment so I was squeezed right in. Keota told me she had an appointment at 10 so she wouldn't be able to dry my hair but she did! She did everything so fast and effortlessly without making me feel rushed. I have been going to Marbella for several years now. She is absolutely amazing!! She's reasonably priced and does quality work. I live in the valley now, so a trip to her in Santa Barbara takes an entire day (several hours anyway: 4 hours of driving + time at the salon). TOTALLY worth it w/ Marbella!!!
