I found Glow Nails through Yelp (thanks, Yelpers!) and really loved it. It's a bit of a hidden gem, tucked away in an easy-to-miss parking lot off La Cumbre. The overall aesthetic is super cute and relaxing - you don't even feel like you're right off a busy road. The pedicure chairs were incredibly comfortable and relaxing. We did have to move to different stations for our manicures, which was a bit inconvenient, but not a huge issue. The staff was pretty quiet and not overly friendly, but they did a good job and everything turned out great. Overall, we enjoyed our time and I'd definitely come back. read more

I was very disappointed on a Thursday afternoon. I walked in and had a pedicure with my mom and I was trying to explain to the gentleman about cutting my toenails shorter. He didn't understand so I had to kind of show him with my hands and the clippers. He finally understood it, and then a bunch of them were talking really fast and their own language, which I feel really uncomfortable listening to you. As I was leaving, I had shared with the manager or the owner that I wasn't happy with my nail polish she said no no that's how it is. That's how it is and she didn't say anything else about it and she was very rude. I would never go back to that place or never recommend them. read more

I called in for a last minute appointment. I was able to get a pedicure appointment right away. I got the deluxe pedi, nice technician, nice massage chairs, decent color selection. However, the nail trimming and nail polish job was terrible; my toe nails are uneven and not shaped the same way and my toe nails weren't painted properly. These pictures were taken as soon as I got to my hotel. 10 mins after leaving the salon. I wish I had noticed how bad they were, these are embarrassing, they don't look like I got my toes painted by a technician, I can do a better job than this. read more

I've been going here for 4 months now and have been getting a mani and pedi here every 4 weeks. Everyone here is amazing. My sister and I are Puerto Ricans from NY and absolutely love Sang! She has the best personality and is funny! She makes us feel at home at the salon and we feel like we're back at home in NYC! People can lack personality here and take offense to humor. Sad for them (Leslie). When I first called to make an appointment, they didn't ask for my number, and while I admit I was confused, I trusted that they knew what they were doing. I've learned "the receptionist" is SUPER efficient and very much on top of everything. My sister and I are loyal customers! They are good people and great nail techs. Kudos for this nail salon being open on a Monday. Make sure to pull into the Hertz Car Rental driveway as the salon is at the far end of the lot. Reviews from Google were amazing. I had John work on my gel mani & pedi- and he was phenomenal. I always like to be a first walk in customer of the day- and Glow accommodated me. After my pedi was done, John began to work on my manicure. While he was removing my calluses- he simply said, "I'm sorry if I'm taking too long. I want it to be perfect." It took me by surprise. And I replied back w/ a lil laugh, "No need to apologize. I respect that you are taking your time because you want your work to reflect you." Although cash is preferred here- but, you will be charged a 3% fee of paying by card. Dang (the owner) politely points to a sign by the card reader. read more

Decided to give glow nails & spa a try after seeing lots of glowing reviews and looking for a place that was open on a Monday (which is fairly hard to come by!). I called earlier in the day and was able to get a same day appointment for 2 pedicures. The salon is pretty small with lots of plants decorated throughout. It's nothing super special but overall was a fine environment. My mom had a pretty good experience with her nail tech, he was fairly gentle, gave a good massage, and did a base coat, 2 coats of color, and a top coat. She was happy with her experience. My experience on the other hand was less than ideal. The tech seemed rushed as he went through the process. When he started the cuticle process it was painful! Multiple toes bled while he was "cleaning things up" and he never really skipped a beat and instead acted like nothing happened. When he got to painting my nails he rushed through it, a quick base coat and then 2 coats of color and then quickly moved on to go to another customer. Not long after someone came and put my shoes on and told me we were done. It wasn't until right after we left that I realized he completely skipped a top coat. Looking at my nails the paint is uneven, there are a few bubbles under some of the nails and it looks like I'll be putting my own top coat on. I'll be skipping the Monday nails and going back to my more tried and true salons. At $38 per pedicure this was a less than ideal experience. read more
