Here's an idea. If the estimated delivery when ordering online says 40-50 min but it's actually taking 2 hours. Maybe a phone call should be made. When I had to call to cancel order they were rude. I ordered my food an hour before my lunch so I would get it during my break. When the driver came to office and I told her the order was cancelled, as she walked out the door and to her car she says" you could have called" 1. I did call and 2. Don't be a coward and say it directly to me instead of as you are walking outside. I get it if you are short staffed and/ or backed up, but at least be apologetic about it, not rude, and maybe the reviews would be different. read more

The website says, "We deliver in under an hour" so I called after the hour had expired. Do not waste your money with college delivery! It's sooo worth the extra $2 to use Favor. I have used them a few times at work and have had many bad experiences. The average delivery time is an hour and a half, never less! The food typically is cold and they have gotten my order wrong multiple times. I have nothing good to say about this company. I've ordered form them roughly a dozen times, and frankly I don't know why I kept doing that to myself. They got my order right twice, and both those times it was lukewarm. Every other time it's just been incorrect and cold. I've also had them double charge my card a couple of times, which is just super duper fun to get fixed because when you call and tell them, they definitely do not care. I had to resolve the matter through my bank both times. I've also had them forget to bring me things I ordered, and it's a hassle getting them to either go get me what I ordered or refunding me. They never seem to want to do either, I guess because it's more money in their pocket. Yeah, it's convenient to be able to order delivery from a variety of places, but it is not worth it. As far as reliability goes, College Delivery is pretty consistent, although I have gotten double charged for my orders three times since January. I also do notice that College Delivery does up charge items a bit in addition to the delivery fee of $3 and an optional tip, but I suppose that's just how it works. read more

But ordering lately is always followed by a call from the manager over an hour and a half in saying they are just now on their way to get it. Their website advertises a "$2.99 Delivery!" charge, which at first glance seems downright reasonable... then I noticed the prices listed for Cedar's Cafe were a bit higher than I remembered. When I checked Cedar's website, I realized College Delivery had added $2.60 to the pita/gyro prices - a 45% markup! Not only pitas, but every menu item was surcharged +44-46%. I found that Casa Maria, Hay's Co. BBQ, and Euro Cafe were also marked up an extra 45%. I can't say for sure if every restaurant they offer has similarly padded prices because I didn't check every menu, but why bother with these skinflint liars? It's depressing that this business was started by SWT/TSU graduates. I cannot express my disdain (thank you) for this company. Not only did they not delivery that which we asked for, but they also blatantly argued that we lived out of their delivery area. Two things--either that guy couldn't read a map or he was stoned. My thoughts? A little of both. Sometimes restaurants run out of items, and instead of having the delivery company call and find out what you'd like substituted instead, they just decide for you (ex: open bag, find tater tots instead of fries, call CD, "Oh, they were supposed to call you." read more

Super annoyed. Ordered a meal from their website that says "steak, vegetables, rice, salad, AND soup." I ordered the meal for the soup and salad mainly but needed to make the minimum so I figured I'd give the rest of the food to my fiancé. Order arrived without the salad so I called in to say they had forgotten it. After "looking into it" the guy calls me back and says that's a mistake on their website and he's sorry but the meal is either soup OR salad but he sees where it said AND online and he assures me that he is going to fix the mistype. I told him that was a big reason I ordered what I did and he said "we'll I can have my driver bring you the salad but it's all the way across town and if I want the salad I'll have to pay the $2 extra". Here's the bottom line, that was a mistake on their website, I'm not being ridiculous by wanting what THEIR website said I was paying for. So after arguing it and him making it clear that their customer service sucks and they aren't going to just suck up the $2 and comp their mistake. I finally ask if he wants my card number again to just run the stupid $2 they should've paid for and he asks if "actually I have cash so it's easier for them." ARE YOU KIDDING ME.?! No I don't have cash so take it or leave it, buddy. At that point I,m just pissed and forget the passive aggression and just tell him he can either take my card that I had already paid with or comp it because it was their mistake and that's what should've been done in the first place to which he agitatedly tells he he'll comp it and send the order out and literally reiterates 5 times that it's "all the way across town" in an attempt to make me feel bad for their mistake. Ok, honestly, I only looked at the reviews for this company AFTER I had already ordered, so as I was sitting in my apartment reading them, I was very very worried. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order came, however. The driver was very nice (My complex is gated, so he had to park at the front office, he called me when he arrived and got out of the car to meet me), I checked my bank account and I was only charged once. The only problem I had with the service was that the to-go container was put in upside down in the bag and caused some of the pad thai to leak out, but I can't really fault anyone for that. My problem is that it was quite expensive. I paid $17 for pad thai that's $8 at the actual restaurant, I know the actual price because I've been there tons. The tax, plus the heightened price, plus the delivery fee and the tip is what makes it expensive, which is unfortunate, because this is the only delivery place like this in San Marcos. I'm not sure if I'll use it again, not because it was a bad experience but because it was so expensive. I didn't have a problem with the service at all. I'm docking two stars for the price, honestly. In a college town, you really should be more affordable. I know it's a business and you have to make money somehow, but if you're cheap and your service is good, you'll make more than you think. read more
