He looked at her for a moment right in the eyes before sticking a thermometer up her butt. I believe they both looked at each other as if to say "I'm comfortable with you." The examination results and options to be considered were well explained and easy to make a decision upon. Mobile Vet has a tremendous reputation in the neighborhood and Dr. Howard is a well respected man of the community. Just to draw upon a quick example, a friend lost her dog a year back. She was frantic & she printed up Reward -Lost Dog- flyers. Mobile Vet gladly posted the flyer and upon the dogs discovery was returned to their office. Upon which time Mobile Vet reached back out to the owner and reunited the family.

I brought my dog in for her yearly check up and shots she nips sometimes so he muzzled her which is fine- but other than that all he did was give her her shots. He didn't check her ears. When my mother picked him up, she was told by Dr. Cohen not to inform me of the incident (I have been in the field for ~15 years) and was discouraged from seeking care elsewhere. No post-procedure blood work or objective assessment was performed to ensure he was stable for discharge. We took him to a 24-hour emergency hospital, where he was found to be dehydrated, hypokalemic, and in acute kidney failure. He has since required multiple ER visits for vomiting, lethargy, and not eating, along with ongoing monitoring that has cost thousands of dollars. Dr. Cohen also stated he would not be taking action regarding the employee involved, citing that she had been "showing improvement," and added that she is pregnant. Regardless, verifying the correct patient prior to anesthesia is a fundamental responsibility of the veterinarian. If others have had similar experiences and are considering reporting concerns to the state veterinary licensing board, I encourage you to document everything and follow the appropriate formal complaint process. No pet or family should have to go through this.

Vaccines, pills, everything was done every year. After doing some research, we decided on this place. Well! We brought our dog. The receptionist was very nice and the vet technician, that is why the two stars. We explained everything to the technician, she wrote everything, she was very friendly. She left to get a veterinarian. Hum! She presented herself, proceeded to do the examination. First the eyes, and then the body. It was a simple check-up. She said that the dog was not paralyzed (without x-rays) (she never offered x-rays) and that she would prescribe some pills. She said because of the dog's age, it's probably arthritis and one tooth was broken, but that was not important for now. The veterinarian continues the conversation, saying she wants to focus on trying to get the dog to walk again. Then she says, "Because it's a big dog (pitbull). If the pills don't work," she recommends being euthanized after one month because it's too difficult to deal with a big dog. If the dog was a small breed it would be less difficult, and she wouldn't recommend being euthanized. My husband was shocked. At the moment, I didn't realize how inhumane and unprofessional the veterinarian was to recommend euthanizing at the first appointment just because the dog CAN'T WALK ! I think she chose the incorrect profession. I took my dog to the veterinarian looking for options for my dog to get better, and the first option was to KILL HER ! How in the world are you going to recommend euthanizing the first time you see a dog? The dog is fine ! All the analysis was perfect! She couldn't even do her JOB! She had one job! Help us with our dog. We paid, because money is not an issue. The issue here is that this clinic needs to fire this veterinarian and get one that actually loves animals. Thank god my husband analyzed the situation and we took our dog to another veterinary. Do yourself a favor and keep looking ! Don't come here!

I had been looking for a vet for a long time for my dog after trying a couple of places in Queens, and was referred to Dr. Haimann by a friend. He is a holistic vet, however he is not like some kind of woo scammer that you hear about that claim essential oils could cure cancer; He is actually a medical doctor and will do diagnostics and workups like he did for my dog and makes medication recommendations. He does also have the holistic approach, and will clue you in on natural remedies that could also be useful in conjunction with medication if it's something you're into. When I met with him, he had excellent bedside manners. He also had time to talk about concerns I had, and had time to go into detail about my dog's overall health and her diet. He wasn't trying to rush me or pressure me with upselling anything, and he was very patient with my dog (what dog wouldn't be scared at the vet's office). I thought he did a thorough assessment of my dog. He also had time to educate, I told him I was concerned about a heart worm medication she took which gave her a reaction, and he told me it was one of the stronger ones on the market and recommended a different medication with less side effects. I thought pricing was pretty standard compared to other vets and honestly if it was a little bit more, I think I would rather pay a little bit more for the quality and time for my dog's health and well-being.
