I went to the University of Vermont and was accustomed to their great dairy bar and ice cream. Collins Creamery is even better. Set on a scenic piece of land overlooking rolling hills, you can sit on a picnic bench and eat your incredibly delicious ice cream sunday while feeling good about it, despite the calories! Best place to get ice cream in Enfield. Lots of choices and creative flavors only downside is it isn't open year round and its always busy.

We tend to split our ice cream outings between Collins', Smyth's, and Friendly's, depending on what we're in the mood for. Collins wins for hard ice cream when you're in the mood for rich and creamy (as opposed to classic and mass-produced). I love their hard frozen yogurt. It's creamy and delicious, while still being very obviously yogurt. Their specials are often great (right now they have "Dole Whip" which is vanilla and pineapple soft serve swirled, and it's delicious). Highly recommended! read more

Have been going to Collins since I was a child, and now that I have children, I must write a review. This creamery is as good as it gets. Great variety of ice cream, friendly workers, and such a wonderful atmosphere. The cows are so pleasant and the kids love them! The cats are just adorable and so friendly. My daughter dropped her cone after a few licks (she was so enthusiastic). I went to purchase her a new one and they gave her a new one no money needed, she was in heaven. When I have friends visit I always bring them here. I highly recommend this wonderful place. read more

We love the Collins Creamery! Especially the sweet Yellow Lab! And no, we don't mind if he sits on the picnic table. It's part of the whole experience! You're on a farm where the ice cream is made! The ice cream is fresh, creamy, and buttery. The staff is very friendly, and very helpful. The prices are great as well. This is our favorite go to spot for ice cream. So much better than others in the surrounding area. I can't wait until next spring when they open again! My only hope is that they put more "stuff" into their ice cream. I think this is the only place in Enfield where you can find 40 people waiting in line on a Saturday night. The beautiful location, great ice cream, and friendly owners/servers make this a go to place whenever I have friends over (or any other time I can come up with an excuse to go get ice cream). I feel a real sense of community when I'm standing in line talking to people about all the different flavors of ice cream. I went there for the first time with my 3 year old son yesterday. I love this place and cannot wait to go back! The staff was very friendly, ice cream is tasty, it's dog friendly, they have a really cute little tractor for the kids to play on. This is easily some of the best ice cream I have ever had! We take home quarts for family events - So many flavors to choose from - and all are delicious.
