Great place in a very nice part of town. Such a pretty scenery. My personal favorite is the soft serve because it's like no other soft serve I've ever tasted. It's super creamy and on the thicker side. My wife and kids try other concoctions and are always happy. My brother in law who is an ice cream lover and will travel to try different places, says this is some of the best ice cream he's ever had. He likes flavors like: coconut, maple walnut, coffee etc. Collins is definitely more expensive than what you're used to spending at an ice cream shop, but I don't mind paying for a homemade, great quality product. We live pretty close to Collins Creamery and it's definitely a staple in our lives in the summer months. You should definitely try it! read more

Great experience here. After visiting the Springfield Museums and NBA Hall of Fame and heading back home to NYC I saw this place had some great reviews and was along the way. I am a sucker for homemade ice cream. The reviews definitely got it right. A great area with tons of benches around. The ice cream was very good. We had strawberry and chocolate cups. The service was great. Our cashier was very patient and helpful. I heard the other customers (there were a few lines) getting the same type of service. I saw many families and groups of people on benches eating ice cream together and even spotted a few dogs. I recommend this place for everyone. read more

The moment we drove into the farm, along the long pebbles dirt road entrance, there are cars lined up all the way to where the ice cream shop is at. We were so surprised to see how packed it was! The line was very long but luckily, the shop had 4 active windows! The flavors are all listed on the wall in the front so you might wanna start looking at the long list once you're midway up the line! I got the toasted almond and boyfriend got the Dutch Apple. Toasted almond was AMAZING. Soooo creamy and it wasn't the usual "hint" of almond. It was flavor packed. Absolutely loved it!! So was the Dutch Apple! It actually had caramel iced apple chunks in the ice cream! All of which were super sweet and delicious. We absolutely enjoyed it there. There's a large open field you can look out to as you sit among many picnic tables. We went at sunset and the sky was stunning. We will definitely be back. If you ever end up in the middle of Nowhere, aka Enfield, this is the place to be. They have awesome ice cream/frozen yogurts with seasonal favors. Even thou they close after October and during the winter, you can still catch their delicious pumpkin creation in the Fall. Perfect time to go would be summer: get a nice big scoop sitting outside enjoying the warmth and the green wide open view. They have their cows sitting outside for petting but be sure to sit upwind so your ice cream won't be cow-poop flavor. read more

The staff here gets a 5 star rating and honestly, if it wasn't for them, i would have given this place 2 stars! We are ice cream people-when we see a creamery, we stop! We opted for this place instead of Smyth's for soft serve because we wanted to try their highly acclaimed made on the premises hard ice cream. Great facility with ample parking and that excited us immediately. They had typical flavors and nothing that was really out of the ordinary as yelpers stated. So based on that, we decided to give them a fair review by ordering flavors WE have ordered from our favorite creameries/ice cream shoppes(who also make their ice creams on their premises). My stud ordered the cherry vanilla in a waffle cone. First off, ultimate disappointment to see that they do NOT make their own waffle cones and instead use Joy's waffle cones...bland! Arethusa Farms still takes the lead in the best waffle cone, hands down! Flavor and texture is out of the park. Now let's talk ice cream. Yes, it was creamy, but what's up the fake colored bright red cherry swirl-looked like maraschino cherries...what? Sacré Blue no black cherry/bing cherry flavor! Very disappointed. I also ordered the mass made Joy cone (such a buzz kill) with coconut chocolate chip and toasted almond. Yeah, it is creamy but lacks luster to it. Coconut chocolate chip really could use a lot more coconut flavoring and the mini chips are just ok-my preference is chunk but the chip quality itself was ok...my biggest critique was the lack of coconut flavor. Doctor Mike's in Bethel, CT still has best coconut ice cream and for coconut chip, Arethusa in NH, CT still rules. Toasted almond did taste toasted but would have loved to have crushed almonds in this. Again, we are ice cream nudges and i appreciate that they make their own ice cream but for us, they were just ok. Cannot rate their soft serve but their hard ice cream unfortunately does not make our list but their ever so friendly staff does get an A+. read more

It's 5 scoops of ice cream (your choice in flavors), includes 2 sugar cones (as the horns), a whole banana, whipped cream, cherries, and your choice of two toppings. Seriously, if you haven't been, you need to try this place when summer time rolls around again. I've come a couple times now because it really is a great summer place with a cute climbing thing to keep the kids busy. I have a major pet peeve though. Every time I've gotten ice cream that is suppose to have some type of topping in it (e.g., peanut butter cup) there aren't any in it. For example, my husband got cookie dough and found 2 chunks in his entire cup. I found one peanut butter cup. The last time I barely had any chocolate chips. Don't advertise an ice cream as something and just give me a chocolate or vanilla base. Its a waste of money. read more
