Yesterday was a poor overall experience out of character for Collision Center based on repairs from years ago. Passenger side door had to be replaced and driver's side rear quarter panel repainted. This was done to my satisfaction. The problems: passenger side door rocker panel was damaged during repair. I pointed it out to Bob. He inspected it, but offered nothing. He had also told me the repairs would take a week. It took at least twice as long, and there was no apology. My dashboard was still covered in shop dust and there was a rag and plastic scraper left on the back seat. Will definitely think twice about having work done here again. read more

I just picked my new black Jeep Gladiator from Bob at Collision Center in Torrington, CT. No. They don't sell Jeeps. At least, I don't think they do. What they do VERY WELL is repair car damage. In my first 45 years of driving, I had a couple of cracked windshields replaced. In the past 5 years, I have hit one deer, another deer hit me, I was hit while parked in a parking lot, and rear ended while stopped at a red light. So I don't think I need to give up driving just yet... In all of those cases, I have had the repair work done at Collision Center. They work with the Insurance company, arrange for a rental car, and get the right parts - and the car (and paint) look like new. You can have your car repaired anywhere. My car was involved in an accident. It was rear-ended and also had a little front-end damage. My rear bumper was just barely hanging on, one side near the tire were popped and some under carriage damage, as well as the front bumper. This happened right around Thanksgiving which of course slowed the process a little. My car was finished about 5 weeks after the accident. I can't believe how great it looks. One would never guess it had an accident. The paint is perfect, everything looks perfect, and as I drive everything feels perfect. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Had a very good experience here today!! Was being given the run around by a windshield replacement company that after 2 visits and over 7 hours of waiting, neither replaced or repaired my windshield. After talking to my insurance company a second time, I called Bill at collision center and it got taken care of within 48 hours and done extremely well! Bill helped me through the process of a windshield claim with my insurance because I had never done one before and it was for the most part a pleasant experience getting this done except for the previous Windshield replacement company!! I love looking through the new, crystal clear windshield!! After 18 years, it wasn't just the rock damage, it was also old. Thanks so much, Bill! I have brought my car here twice in the last two years (unfortunately people need to learn how to drive better). That being said, everyone here is amazing! I have had prompt phone call returns, an easy time with the insurance changes- they literally took care of everything, rental car arrangements made for me so the car was waiting when I dropped my Forester off, my car was done in 5 days. You know, it is very hard to find a shop these days that go over and above for you... Bill and Bob have always done that. I will never forget when I first met Bill, he could not be nicer, and what really stood out to me was how they both treated my wife at times. That goes a long way with me. It's funny how something so simple as painting a spoiler can turn into a mistake. I brought a spoiler here to be painted which should have taken 3 days it took them over a week. I called and they said it was done so I drove all the way down there and what do you know it's NOT done. They didn't finish the job and on my way home I noticed two paint runs.
