After my truck was broken into and vandalized, I hunted for a reliable body shop. Of course I checked all the big names in town. Everyone of them told me it would be at lease 4 weeks before they could start. I came across this place and read the review history. Mostly positive over the last 8 years. I called them, they got my truck in the same day and got to work. Mike, the guy who helped me out was awesome. He handled all the insurance issues and got everything that was damaged replaced. My truck came home in like new condition. Everything was done fantastic. I couldn't have been any happier with this place. I hope I never need to use them again but if I do they will be my first choice in San Antonio. Very reliable, open and they communicate great. When I came here the first time the service was good. Therefore I came back a 2nd time I was surprised to get terrible service. It took almost two months to get my car causing me to have to incur extra rental car. I thought well maybe it was a busy period so I thought I would give them another chance. Now it is my 3rd and last visit. Because again the delays were horrible. They called me to tell me that my car was ready. However when I came in it wasn't and I was told it would be another hour or so. I get that collisions are not easily mended, but be honest on how long it will take and keep the customer informed of the status. Do NOT use this place learn from my experience. read more

Words cannot describe how lucky I was to find this body shop! They were amazing!!!! They were very patient and worked with me when my insurance gave me such a hard time! The first time I took my vehicle there they did an excellent job and got my vehicle out quick. However, the second time I took it to get work done they forgot to repair some damage along with doing a poor job painting my front bumper. Within four months it was chipping due to rock chips but before that my car has never had rock chip problems. They did a courtesy of repainting it but left the interior and exterior a mess and left my driver side door with a grime that's hard to take off. They also recommended a clear bra and said they usually cost 120 but when shopping around they are 400 minimum. Don't quote prices you don't know of. read more

I'm posting this to help you learn to not go there... Guys were not trustworthy. Handled my wrecked car wrecklessly like a toy. Saw them driving through the dirt parking lot with holes on my donut fast thinking I didn't see while parts came off the car because of the wreckless driving. Saw a worker drinking a 16oz bud light while working as I was waiting in their office. Owner or someone's kids were walking throughout the shop during hours. They kept talking about how they were gonna help me, but ended up sticking it to me with all these fees. Slick salesman, will really talk you up and play nice. I would avoid them at all costs. High estimate also. I paid them a ridiculous amount of money for them to release the car so I could take it somewhere else. It was worth letting them screw me on fees to take it somewhere else. Avoid avoid avoid. I learned the place got a new owner about 3 years ago and everything went downhill since. read more

I can not sing the praises of Mike and the team loud enough! I took my hail damaged car to Collision Specialist Center at the recommendation of a friend for an estimate and never thought twice about going elsewhere after meeting with Mike. My car was ready when promised with all repairs made plus the additional touches of polishing my headlights and cleaning the entire interior of the vehicle. Not only did they save me money on my deductible, but they had me driving away in what felt, looked, and smelled like a new car!!! In a completely unrelated incident my car wouldn't start, I didn't have roadside assistance with my insurance, and had no idea what was going on with my car, and my other half was out of town. One call to Mike (AFTER BUSINESS HOURS!!!) and he knew I simply needed a jump start. Rather than telling me to ask around for a jump, Mike drove across town in the thick of rush hour traffic to get my car started. When I asked why he would come so far for this he simply said, "We can't leave our customers stranded." It's so nice to know that there are GOOD guys still in the automotive business and I will forever trust the care of my cars to Collision Specialist Center! read more

First let me say that I know this review is pretty extreme, but I can guarantee that after you've done business here you'll understand why. This is without a doubt the best place in San Antonio to take your vehicle in need of repair. They do literally everything that they can to make your experience a good one. Their employees are the definition of above and beyond. Helpful, informative, honest, and caring all come to mind when describing their interactions with me. For example, after I dropped my vehicle off at this shop and arrived at Enterprise via shuttle I had accidentally left my insurance information in the glove compartment of my car, so I called the shop and within 2 minutes I was texted a picture of my insurance info and I was able to present it to get my rental. Anything that they can do for you, they will do for you. And after speaking even briefly with Mike, this becomes very apparent. He is one of those rare people that truly care and take professionalism as well as courtesy to the next level. It is important to note that nothing I could type would be able to do him, or his crew justice. read more
