Yummy Colombian food in College Park. Great place to get consistent and yummy latin food while at UMD. Got the steak which came with rice, soup, plantains. Super yummy and very filling. Was so full after I ate. Fast service, very content. Restaurant is pretty casual, sit in. Lots of seating available :) Will definitely be back!

So cheap for the amount of carne asada I got! Will definitely be going again! It was the perfect ratio of meat and rice and I love how there were plantains. Service was quick and nice!

Bandeja was very good everything was flavorful and tasty great value would get again

Empanadas (carne, pollo): 7/10 the outside is a bit too dry for me but the filling is good. Toston con carne mechada: delicious and flavorful carne mechada. I would get this again

Delicious Colombian cuisine awaits at Ritchie's! Their arepas are truly fantastic and I love their plantains! Such perfection! They have been in business for a few years now and have had great success. There are parking lots and a parking garage nearby to park at then walk to this location overlooking Route 1

Another view of restaurant. Clean and good amount of tables

Happy I found this authentic Colombian restaurant in College Park, very close to Hyattsville / PG plaza area. The portion was generous; I could eat maybe half of it. This dish, bandaja or plato paisa comes with a piece of steak, fried pork belly with crunchy skin, white rice, pinto beans, fried ripe plantains, avocado, a fried egg, and an arepa... I told you it was a lot!! Everything tasted like a home cooked meal, the beans especially; it was a little low in salt, which I didn't mind if I could add a small table side, but they didn't have it ready on the table. To be fair, the food was so good we didn't ask if they had to give us. I did order some empanadas, but the gentleman forgot to place them; considering it was only us at the restaurant, I don't understand why. I still enjoyed our visit and looked forward to returning to try other dishes with the family

Very hard to find parking, and there's parking on the street but can get ticket easily. It was a trap! Make sure to park with the flow of the traffic, or you will get a ticket for sure. We came back for more wonderful soup and Arepa con Queso. We also tried 3*Bandeja Paisa: it's a big combo of Grill Meat, Fried Pork Skin, Chorizo, Rice, Beans, Sweet Plantains, Fried Plantain, and Arepita. I wasn't thrilled about it. The pork was fried dry but no flavor at all. The rest was not impressive either. I'll stick to the soup in the future!

Great spot for a quick home cooked meal. Went at lunch time which was busy, so it took a while to get our order taken. Food came out promptly after ordering.

Really good food and as close to Colombian food in the DMV. The server was forgetful at times and slow paced. Banda paisa was good. Tamale needs some seasoning. And the pollo epanizado was dry and hard to chew, over cooked and too thin pounded out too much. The pan de queso, Banuelos, and their bakery products were on point. Very good and authentic. The walls were covered with Colombian phrases and some Colombian figures the art work was pretty nice.

The restaurant is located on the second floor of a "random" building, so it might be a bit difficult to find unless you are in the know. Although there were not many folks during my visit, the restaurant gives off a very strong Colombian flare. I originally stopped by to get a drink, but I ended up trying the caserito, which was sort of a combo meal. This meal included a delicious soup, a beer filet, beans, rice, and a small salad. It was quite the meal for only $14 bucks. I do not remember the name of the bean-based soup, but it was out of this world delicious. For $14 bucks, I thought the portions were quite generous. The service was pretty good. Since the bartender/waitress did not speak much English, dining here gave me the perfect opportunity to practice my Spanish. I definitely hope to return in the near future to try more items off of the menu and maaaaybe sing karaoke.

The beautiful artwork featuring local women of color from Colombia adds a great cultural touch, and there's plenty of parking. I ordered the Papas Rellenas (picadillo-stuffed potato fritters), which were really big, dense, and satisfying for $5. I also got the bandeja paisa (with kidney beans, steak, fried egg, pork belly, etc.), knowing it would take about 20 minutes on a Monday at 10:45 a.m. That wait felt outrageous, though--only about 10 people were in a space that could easily hold 100. However, the pork belly and steak wasn't overcooked and very flavorful. Even the sausage bursted with flavor. The food was authentic and tasty, but the long wait is a dealbreaker for me unless I'm with a friend craving Latin food and have time to spare. I probably won't return on my own unless it's a weekend and I have time to kill.

I placed an online order for pickup, was charged in full, and was never notified of any issue. I drove almost an hour to pick up the order, only to be told upon arrival that my order was not ready and would not be fulfilled at all. This order was for an event I was attending, so I was left scrambling at the last minute while staff showed no acknowledgment or accountability for their mistake. I was never contacted, never proactively refunded, and had extreme difficulty reaching anyone. Phone calls went unanswered repeatedly. As a last resort, I commented on one of their Instagram posts and my comment was deleted. I posted again and still received no response. It wasn't until over a month later that someone finally shared an alternate phone number for a staff member. When the refund was finally processed, it was only partial about 65% of the total charge. I am still having to follow up to recover the remaining balance. To make matters worse, I was blocked from their Instagram page. At this point, this is no longer about the money. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. I am a reasonable person and understand that the food industry is complex but businesses do not have the right to charge customers, fail to deliver, avoid communication, and then silence them. This experience was not only disappointing, it was disrespectful. Unfortunately, this is one of the only places offering Colombian food in the area, which leaves customers with little choice. A quick look at reviews across platforms shows that customer service issues are a consistent pattern. I had previous less-than-great experiences ordering here, but this was the tipping point. This business seriously needs education and improvement in customer service. Customers deserve transparency, communication, and respect.

What do I know about Colombian food?…read more Well, I brought my Colombian foster family from different cities from Colombia, and they couldn't agree more on how good the food was. The outside of the establishment could be a bit nicer, but it was a gem to come here. On the side, it looks like a bar but is family oriented (depending on the time). It opens Tuesday thru Sunday from 3pm to 2am, and it's closed on Monday. My family ordered everything from the menu. Arepa, sancocho, Bandeja paisa, carne asada, chicharron. I looked up Colombian food in my area and this place popped up. I ordered two queso arepas and one beef /queso and chicken/ queso arepa. Keep in mind I thought they would be a lot smaller thus why I order two a piece. Then I ordered a grilled meats entree for my fiancé and I to split with the arepas. First off the arepas looked like small personal pizzas. I was highly disappointed in that. They were tasty but not what I wanted. My fiancé said the beef was a little salty to him as well. The Grilled meat Entree was not good the Plaintains were sweet and soft. The rice was basic white rice but the meat was like chewing leather but the flavor was decent. The texture just was not there. The club Colombia reminded me of vacation so they were very nostalgic. The restaurant doubles as a bar playing Colombian music. We might entertain the bar for beer but defiantly not for arepas !
