I have a history with this dealership so I was excited to test drive a new car here last night. I reached out about a specific model/color and received a confirmation that they had it in stock and set up a test drive appointment. When I arrived for my appointment and checked in I was told the person I needed to work with was busy and I should wait. Okay. After 10 more minutes another salesperson said he could help me. Okay. He looked up my request online and I asked him to confirm that the car was in stock. At this point he got up and walked away. When he returned he said it was not here, to which I asked why the woman had lied to me? He tried to give me a story about how it must have sold since my inquiry, which had been 5 hours earlier. Shady. I left and will not be going back. They lured me in figuring they could sell me on something else. read more

Sketchy sales. Online dealer description of vehicle I was interested in listed it as a "one owner trade" and "TDi certified" (it wasn't even a diesel) The Carfax report showed 2 owners. I asked the internet sales manager about the discrepancy and she appologized stating "the company we use to write our descriptions copies and pastes and we have complained many times" 4 days later, I checked the listing and it was still the same. Why didn't they correct it? Why would they hire an outside company to write their "dealer descriptions" ? Is it to shield themselves from legal responsibility? Almost seems like bait and switch. The service team has lost my trust, and my business; at best, the work they perform is reactive, not proactive, and at worst, they are dishonest. In either scenario, the car and the customer's pocketbook will bear the consequences. I've detailed my experience below: Not long after purchasing my 2019 Golf from this place, I noticed that the rear rotors accumulate uniform, but stubborn, surface rust that does not clean to any degree during driving, no matter how long or short the distance. Anyone who's worked on a car knows that surface rust on rotors is normal and to be expected. However, the rust should clean away at the points of contact with the brake pad after normal usage. Maybe a year or so later, the symptoms were no longer just visual: my brakes started dragging (I hear a slight grinding noise continuously without application of the brake pedal), and there was pulsation in the car while braking. It should be noted that I don't drive my car like a maniac, and I use it regularly at moderate distances. Once I noticed these issues, they quickly worsened and became unignorable. I brought my car in for diagnosis and followed the full list of the Service Team's recommendations: a complete brake job (new rotors & pads). This was about 2.5 years into my car ownership, and I wasn't exactly happy to hear I needed a full rear brake job so soon after purchasing the car new. So, I asked how could I be assured that this won't happen again? In hindsight, the answer I received was dismissive, but I didn't press much - trust until proven otherwise I thought. Fast forward another 2 years, the exact same thing is happening, uniform stubborn rust on the exterior of the rotor, dragging brakes, pulsation when braking. Now I'm frustrated and second-guessing my initial trust - but I figure though that I should run this by them and see what they quote and say again. I heard many of the same scapegoats: They're wear components, it's how you're driving, rust is normal where we live, etc. At no point was there any admittance that it could be anything related to a failure of the brake's operation, or of the previous repair. Please note, their initial opinion of my brake wear is that it is "normal" to them. When pressed, that's when the hypotheses start about my driving habits. Interesting, right? As suspected, after a few hours of research into my car's braking system, I've found out the issue. Although I'm a mechanical engineer who specializes in rotating machinery, it doesn't take someone with my background to find this stuff out. Brakes are a simple mechanical device and a quick observation of the used parts upon disassembly is sufficient to diagnose the issue, without customer testimony. Functional Deficiencies Not Addressed by VW Service: The stubborn rust never cleans because that surface never contacts the brake pad. Note there is another pad on the interior side of the rotor which is not easily viewable. It is the brake caliper's function to divide the hydraulic pressure from the brake line into two equal forces on both brake pads. Because of the failure, the rotor was unevenly loaded, and the interior pad was receiving double the contact pressure and double the load. The first indication of this failure is the surface rust not cleaning, then the dragging noise of the interior pads. The pulsation of brakes are secondary consequences of prolonged use without fixing this issue. The interior pad will receive double the braking load when braking, and if they're dragging, their loading is continuous and not intermittent as it should be. These will cause excess and nonuniform heat input to the rotors, causing it to warp and ultimately cause the pulsations. To recap, my impression is that the opinion of VW service cannot be trusted to diagnose root causes until more unignorable things break - many other reviews on this page have had the same experience. I had interacted with the internet sales manager Gina Martinez over email and calls a few times while i have been trying to turn in my current lease and get a new VW vehicle on lease. The exchanges were very pleasant and professional. Gina had given me some figures couple of months back, which wasn't within my budget at that point and i had politely declined. After couple of other disappointing visits to dealerships in mass, i had sent in an online enquiry on the colonial website regarding a vehicle. Gina reached out to me and i told her clearly that my current vehicle was over the mileage limit and gave her the $$ value + 10% of more of what it was that i would have to pay VW upon returning the vehicle. I also told her the vehicle has already been inspected, i can provide the report (no repairs to be done, tires are virtually brand new) and the car has very minor cosmetic scratches which were not even mentioned in the inspection report. I had also informed her that i would come over to the dealership only if they take in my vehicle and we agreed on numbers for a particular model. I DID NOT want to drive up if there was a faintest inkling that the deal might fall through. Gina assured me that this would happen but they had to look at the car before signing the deal (which i totally get!) i took my car, cheque book to close the deal. The worst dealership experience began soon after... I was asked to meet a sales manager by Gina, who came out said hi and went back. I was put on to a sales person who had no clue about my conversation with Gina and of course, Gina wouldn't come out to meet me because she is the "Internet Sales manager". I politely informed sales person that i don't want to discuss numbers with him and i had discussed the numbers with Gina already. He seemed upset about this and i went out to test drive the car (while they inspected my car )which i was supposed to lease. As soon as i came back, the sales person got me a entirely new set of numbers which were way more than what was (not even 10% -15% increase, which i can understand). I told him, that its unacceptable a i wanted to leave, thanks for wasting my time. HE actually got mad at me and raised his voice and said "Go speak to the manager", i was stunned, the only thing i could ask was "why are you shouting at me?!?" and he walks away and tosses the numbers at his manager who makes up excuses for him. I tried to explain the situation to the manager, and he made excuses for the worst salesman ever and asked if i had any mail from Gina with the numbers she gave me. Unfortunately i didn't and it was a verbal agreement (my error in judgement, especially with car dealers, never again!). He went on to say that's not going to happen etc., i said fine, the only reason i came up here is because i was promised by the ISM that the deal was possible. Again, he said there must have been a mis communication and pretended to look at numbers. During all this there was another person (higher up in the pecking order or the finance guy i guess) who was listening to this and he says in an extremely condescending manner " We can stand here and talk all day, but this deal is not going to happen". Yes, i was stunned again. I tried to tell them why i was there and i just wouldn't have come up there if they had been honest in saying the numbers don't work. But they tried to cover up their incompetence and sheer amateurism by being rude. I turned around and walked out saying "Fucking Crooks". I wanted to let Gina know of what transpired and how she had wasted 3 hours of my time. Lo and behold when i called the number she called from, the guy (second guy who was supposedly a manager) picks up and immediately recognizes my voice and i said i wanted to speak to Gina, his exact response was "Why, so you can shout at her?", I was taken aback, but i politely said no, i want to speak to her please. He said he would walk over and let her know and he would ask her to call me back. She never did. I spotted a 2016 1.8 Turbo Manual Transmission Jetta on their website with fewer than 22,000 miles on it for $15,000 that looked nice. I called Colonial Volkswagen, and Gina answered my preliminary questions about my car. I put down a $500 deposit on the car over the phone to hold it until I could view it in person as it was about 2 hours away and I couldn't look at it until after work. Gina said she wouldn't be there in the evening but that she would have me meet with Pierre. Pierre, from Lebanon, meet me when I arrived that evening to test drive the car. It was precisely in the mint condition that Gina had described on the phone except the front two wheels were chewed up, and the bottom bumper skirt had a gauge but probably not noticeable to anyone else. It had less than 22k miles on it, and the body was free from scratches, dents, and dings. Pierre said that for $150 more he'd have the wheels cleaned up (translation replaced) and I was happy with that and purchased the car that evening. One of Pierre's associated intercepted when I was on the phone with Service Credit Union (my first time using them, and my first auto loan) and advised them they used CUDL (pronounced "cuddle"). CUDL is the fully-customizable auto lending solution proven to streamline and enhance indirect auto funding. Using the CUDL system simplified the process and ceased the back and forth running around that the buyer (me), would typically have to do with the credit union in this situation. They also offered me a 100,000-mile seven-year resist all warranty for my vehicle, for $2,200 which I accepted. The car was driven up to my city hall in NH by a lovely woman named Sarah, who called me a few minutes before ten am to say she was about to get on the road and would be here by eleven thirty. She was early, and I arrived at city hall at eleven fifteen just in case she was early and I texted her when I arrived that I was there and we met out front and walked in together to do the registration paperwork. The whole experience from look to purchase was seamless with the help of the experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable staff at Colonial VW in Westborough, MA. I was disappointed when the Tiguan I have only owned since December began having issues. Not only did the radio/usb port die but the sunroof completely died in the same day. I was still under the manufacturer's powertrain warranty and had purchased an extended warranty through the dealer as well so I brought my car to the dealer for repair. Due to past experience with Hyundai, Nissan and BMW I try to avoid the dealership as much as possible but given the circumstances this was the best option. I can officially say Dylan, my service advisor at Colonial Volkswagen, has completely changed my experience with dealerships. He continued to provide updates throughout the process and kept communication the entire time. He genuinely cares about his customers and even contacted the warranty company for me and took care of all the negotiating. He went above and beyond throughout the time my vehicle was there to get as much of the repairs covered as possible to keep my out of pocket cost at a minimum. I would highly recommend having your vehicle serviced here and will continue to bring my car here for repairs. read more

After talking to sales consultant Cal Angus, he informed me that my online price (that I have a screenshot of) is not valid and the price has gone up( about 3 thousand dollars). Although this is not directly Cals fault, I am disappointed and upset that I wasted a big part of my day to go see a vehicle that was incorrectly listed. EPIC FAIL!!!! A "vallet" is not fixing your parking problem. The building is a mess. Your staff is not helpful, seemed confused and in a state of panic. I was traveling for a work meeting and needed to get service done on my car. I called here to schedule an appointment. The lady on the phone sounded flustered, confused and was rambling. "what do they want me to write down again?" she said a couple of times. I get to the location and follow the signs to service, I pull into the service area like I have at all other VW dealers. (Life long VW owner here). A service person stares and smiles as I pull in. another service person walked up to me and says, "oh just park up there." The only places nearby was a fire lane and Handicap. So I figured he meant to go to the Sales area. The only place with parking spaces. Walking into the Sales area I was then told, "If I need service you need to park down there" So, I drive back down and park my car in front of a couple of cars. The only option. I come into the service rep. area and a small old man says. "Give me your key" Not knowing who this person was, I tell him "No?!" At this point I realize this man is stressed out and in a fit. He saids he needs to move my car. I then said, I need to show a service rep a couple of issues I'm having. He continues to freak out. I admit, I did get really riled by this interacting and did say, what the F*^K is going on in this place. I then tried to talk to a service rep. and ask what is going on here? this place is a mess! The one woman must have over heard me saying I need a service rep to look at something with my car. almost comedically, wide eyed and chewing gum says. "What, you got rust, I can look at the rust. you got rust?! " I didn't have rust, I have no idea why she said that. I told her to cancel the appointment, I'm leaving. The Service person that told me to park up at the sales area, I guess the manager, then spoke up and tried to calm down the situation. He had me move my car up a little bit, I then decided, I don't want to have my car serviced here. But I do need to get AdBlue before my trip back home. I walk into the parts area with him. The door was completely blocked by boxes, the service rep had to push and throw empty boxes around to make a walk way. There was a couple of techs at the parts desk that were nice and helpful. but wow was this place a miss managed disaster! read more

I was in a bad accident a few weeks back... my Tiguan was totaled luckily my wife and I walked away with only minor injuries... I wanted to get another VW so I went right to the dealership. They appeared to be very nice (like most salesmen do) we were not looking to buy that day as the claim was still open on my car. Just looking for options... we told them that from the beginning. My wife and I ended up going to ford later that week and they bent over backwards to get us what we wanted. We went with ford. I let VW know that I would not be getting another vehicle with them. Especially since they didn't really empathize with the unexpected situation we were put in. Their response to something I didn't even need to do was "good luck with Ford and their transmission and engine issues". His name was chadthi I believe. (EDIT TO RATING AND REVIEW) BEWARE: they will ping your credit a ridiculous number of times. I was pre-approved for a loan through my bank, but they said they could beat the interest rate and payments. Had I known they would ping my credit SEVEN times, I never would have done it. That hits your credit score and stays on your report for two years, and we have other big things coming up, so this puts a huge strain on us. We weren't expecting to buy a car the other day, but we passed Colonial Volkswagen and decided to stop in. Mike helped us, and he was really nice and helpful. The GM is also very nice and personable, and the interactions with everyone don't feel super sleazy like they do at most dealerships. We loved the car, and it was pretty smooth sailing from there. The only downside is that they're a one-price dealership; I've never heard of a dealership that doesn't negotiate. I kind of wish we had tried harder, but the car wasn't priced super high compared to similar cars around, and it was nice to have a certified car. They also did what they could to beat an interest rate offered by my bank, and they offered an alright value to trade in our crappy old car. We're looking forward to picking up our car and coming back to Colonial to take advantage of the additional coverage! If you want to buy a new car and deal with nice people, go to Colonial. They also do loans through a credit union, which is a big plus--no dealing with big banks. read more

We went in for basic service and inspection as we have many times and there is always a problem resulting from it. This time the same, but lets forget that for now. We brought the car in on Friday after calling the Tuesday before and not getting a call back (it's my daughters car and she had the flu that week). Our car required a part that was supposed to be in on the following Tuesday. We called WEDNESDAY afternoon when we didn't hear from them. The person we spoke to had no idea what was going on and would get back to us tomorrow. Again wasn't called, and when we called was told that it was done and we could pick it up Friday or Saturday - A full week after we brought it in and almost two full weeks from our initial call with the problem. That is inexcusable. This was the worst it's ever been here - which is saying a lot, because it is always horrible. read more

Came in tonight to look at three 2019 Jettas. It was a long drive for me to get there. All three cars were on THEIR WEBSITE. I was told that two of the cars had been sold, and they simply could not FIND the third car. They are either lazy in not removing the cars from the website or practicing dishonest "bait and switch" sales strategies. The third option, I guess, is that they are just incompetent. If you read all of their glowing reviews closely, you will notice that they all mention specific sales/service personnel by NAME. In some cases, FIRST and LAST name. As in, "Last night at the Cheesecake Factory, my waitress, Maria Ciccarrelli, was fantastic! Hank and I ALWAYS ask to sit in Maria's section because she always provides top-notch service with a smile, and the garlic knots are always warm and fresh!". Almost no one legitimately writes these types of reviews. Don't be a sucker. Don't even waste your time at this place. Maria might have written her own review, or there is no Maria. read more

I've purchased three cars here since 2013, the third one was purchased about a week ago. Up until last week, my experience with Colonial had been positive so I brought my girlfriend in with me as well as she is in need of a new vehicle. We had such a difficult time with both transactions. My second car from the dealership was purchased less than a year ago, and I was unhappy with it as it came with an aftermarket sunroof that was shoddily installed by a third party vendor. I have had problems with it since then, and have brought it back to the dealership multiple times since I had owned it. I inquired about getting a new car and a deal was made but it left a bad taste in my mouth - Ian (the sales manager I believe) told me my payment would be a specific amount with the same stipulations etc as my previous loan for the car they were buying back - only to find out from the finance manager that it would be about $20 a month higher than I was told. As for my girlfriend, she was attempting to finance a pre-owned car with a significant down payment. We were basically told that we were in the wrong at every juncture. Ian literally told me that any consumer research we did on our own via Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds regarding the price (which we found to be higher than expected) was garbage as "it doesn't matter what KBB says, we spend 3k a month on a tool to price our cars." Congrats on that by the way. It got to the point that we were so fed up with his confrontational attitude that she told me she wanted to leave whenever he came over, and I had to remove myself from negotiations. She had to tell the sales guy that she was done with it and had no desire to speak on the matter further. We left stressed out, and I can say that I have no desire to ever purchase a vehicle here again. Our sales guy for both transactions was very nice and helpful, but whenever it came down to brass tacks Ian came in and was very difficult to work with. Another great experience this morning on the sales side - needed to get rid of a VW Passat due to personal situation. Selling on craigslist was not going well - dropped price to below private party price, but no takers. Met with Jesse Manning - the General Sales manager. He gave me a great offer - close to what I was expecting from private buyer (would have been after multiple test drives and painful negotiations). Was in and out with a bank check in hand in less than an hour. Great to work with! Will continue going to them with existing VWs for service and hopefully to get new ones in future. read more

My best car buying experience was at Colonial. At 4 other VW dealerships I was quickly put on guard by their pushy, deceptive practices. My dealings with Bob Miller at Colonial were honest and straightforward. It turned out that the exact right used Jetta Sportwagen TDI for me was at one of the less honest dealerships but I wish it had been at Colonial. OK they gave me a great price and were fair on my trade-in value. Other than that trying to buy a car from them was less great experience and more "wear them down by exhaustion." I was surprised by how painful the process was because they had 4.5 stars on Google and Facebook reviews. It was an incredibly long process from start to finish taking over five hours. In the end I bought the car I wanted for a good price. They pull all the usual car dealer gimmicks with extended warranties and simonize, blah, blah, blah. When my sales rep actually slowed down he was very helpful and friendly, it just sometimes took a lot to not feel like I was getting on his nerves. From the get go, I just got the feeling I was taking up his time from something more valuable. Maybe our personalities just didn't click. I don't know. I would consider going to this dealership again. Other people in the dealership that day seemed really happy with the place. In the end I just can't say they ever went out of their way to make the deal easy. read more

So I have a 2010 Volkswagen Beetle and the headlight on the right side stopped working. I took my car in to Colonial and they said they fixed it but then hours later it stopped working again. I bring it back and they can't figure out what's wrong. They end up actually BREAKING the light even more trying to fix it and now have to fix what they did! Eventually they tell me it's fixed and for like a day it worked but then sure enough it stopped working AGAIN! I am NEVER going back to this place! HORRIBLE! read more

They transfer me to this person other person. And just say "someone" will call me and tell me when I can get my vehicle. At this point I just want fucking get my money back. We have purchased two cars here, and the buying experience was fine. Professional, no pressure. Service is a different story. The Service Techs are good, but the overall process is high pressure up-selling. Bring your car in for one thing, and they invariably "find" something that adds $500+ if you accept it. Every. Single. Time. We finally stopped using their service, because we don't trust them. My wife went in for one thing, next thing she knows they're trying to sell her on a $2,500 replacement of her engine gaskets/seals. Not that they were failing, but "they might". Bought a $15,000 car and the dealership only gave me one key. I asked for a replacement key before I moved and after a week and a half they "ordered it but it didn't come in on time". I called around to other Volkswagen dealerships and they want to charge me $150 for the key and programming (which takes about 60 seconds worth of labor) I thought the rep was really there to help me but, being in medical sales and knowing sales values, this representative, Chris Tattrie, was clearly in it for himself and wanted to make a quick buck off of me. To think that I paid that much money for a car, paid their asking price, and they can't even provide me with a spare key is absolutely ridiculous. I left a voicemail on the general manager's message system explaining what happened and got no response. I was generally satisfied during the sales process, even though at times the sales rep was very talkative and a better talker than listener. After everything is said and done, now that the dealership got the sale and couldn't provide a key to me, I feel the dealership got their money from me and couldn't help me out, and that really pisses me off. Disclaimer: I've never bought a vehicle from these people, my review is only about the SERVICE department. Who are a bunch of crooks. The reps at the desk all have the same slimy, smarmy, sales-y personality, and will talk down to me but not to the man at the desk next to me getting his car serviced. I understand I am a younger woman, but come the hell on guys, assume I know something (which, spoiler alert, I do). In November 2015 I brought my 2010 Jetta in because I had a coupon for a discounted oil change and tire rotation. I have a local mechanic who does all of my major work but even he said to use these guys this time because he couldn't match their coupon price. At the end of the service they tell me that I had a "major oil leak" which would cost close to $2,000 to replace. I wanted to get a second opinion so I told them not to fix it. My regular mechanic looked at it that day and informed me that there is no way ANYTHING could leak out of my car. I put newspaper under it when parked for a month to verify that nothing was leaking and a month later that newspaper was dry as a bone. Nice try, but you're gonna have to try harder to get my $2,000. They also informed me on that same visit that my tires were "nearly bald", and that I should see them directly for new ones in March 2016. Well, it's March but I know better than to buy dealership tires so I went to a major department store to purchase them this past weekend. The sales rep went to check my tires, came back and informed me that he could not in good conscience sell me new tires because mine were at a 6/10 and 7/10. I told him what the dealership mechanics said, and he replied, "Have you ever considered that these guys make some good money by overpricing their tires and labor? Come back in November, that's when you'll actually need tires." So congratulations Colonial, you've lost a customer forever. I'll drive the extra 20 minutes to the unnamed VW dealership in Auburn if they have oil change coupons, but I will never set foot on your property again. And by the way, you should offer cigarettes at the service desk, some people like one after they've been fu--ed. read more

Buying a car and servicing your car are both things that you should avoid doing at Colonial VW. Car Purchase: We bought a '09 Passat from VW in late 2009. Our salesman was very inexperienced and often had to stop and get help from others when we asked questions about the car. We were very patient with him because we knew that he was new but a little more effort on his part to get to know his product, would have helped. In the end, several features of the car were ill-explained and I have relied on some helpful videos on the VW website for additional information. The sales manager was arrogant, pushy and had no problem stretching the truth from time to time. We realized this because his stories changed each time we met with him. Despite it all, we decided to purchase the car and I am pretty happy with the Passat. Though, I will never purchase again from this particular dealership. Car Service: Each time that I have had my Passat serviced here, I have been generally unhappy. They do not offer loaner cars at the dealership and really have no interest in shuttling customers anywhere. They offer a shuttle service for a couple of hours each morning. Their work takes longer than a couple of hours so, usually, all you can get from them, is a one-way ride! How ridiculous is that?!? Also, the service people never explain anything to you unless you ask them to. Several times, they have failed to clean/wash the car and have given me a coupon to get it done myself. Also, I am pretty convinced that my tires haven't been rotated each time they should have been because they have worn very uneavenly. A recent visit to VW Gallery in Norwood, MA has proven to me just how bad Colonial VW's sales and service truly is. This place is to be avoided! read more

If there was 0 point, I will do that. Their auto service department did not even worth 1 point. They charged me 112 dollars diagnose fee even though they did not find any issue and they made up some ridiculous reason to get more money from me. When I said no to them, they broke my car!!! I send my 2012 Jetta there to check the electric circle issue early this week, because the front light turned on by itself during the night and it dried out the battery. First day I went there, I was told my car was fine. They checked the battery and everything was fine. They said I probably left the light open. Second day morning, the same situation happened and I send my car to the service again. This time, they told me that they spend two hours and could not find any issue there. They confirmed that my battery is fine again and they said they would charge me 112 dollars diagnose fee and they wanted to leave the car there over night and spend two more hours tomorrow. The third day morning, they called me said my battery failed the test. It would cause 250 to get a new one. Not mention that I have a relatively new car with original battery which could last at least five years. How come the battery is fine for the last two days and it failed at the last day when they need an excuse to send my away. I still paid the 112 dollars diagnose fee even though they found out nothing. When I got my car back, the driver side window could not be open or close automatically. When I turn off the engine, there used be a sound to remind you if you forgot to turn off the light. And this is not working too. I will never go their again and I definitely do not recommend anyone go there. read more

Ive been here twice now for service. They are always able to get me in, and are super friendly. They have called me throughout the day to tell me what needs to be fixed on my car and get my permission to go ahead etc. I live really close so usually drop off my car and walk home, but they have a service shuttle that can pretty much drop off and pick you up from anywhere. My only complaint is around the last time my car went in. They told me it would be ready by 5pm that day - a Friday. I never got a call, and didnt get anyone when I called back on Saturday. Sunday they were closed, I finally called on Monday and got the receptionist. Being that that Monday was a holiday the service dept was closed as well, but she had my keys and I could pick up my car. My car had been finished on Friday but I never got a call so was without my car for four days even though it was ready. read more

BEWARE!!! MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE NOTHING OF VALUE IN YOUR CAR WHEN YOU DROP OFF FOR SERVICE, because it won't be there when you pick it up!! There is a thief working in the service dept. The Owner won't even speak to me about the theft of a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses that were in my car @ drop off and gone when I picked up. Buyer Beware! Bought two cars at this dealership, but a third isn't going to happen. 1. After a major warranty service the fuel line was not reinstalled property. It sent a stream of gas across a hot engine and almost killed my daughter driving home one night. The service manager offer a free oil change in response and the GM never returned my calls or emails on the matter. 2. Brought the same car in for repair and they wanted almost $3000 to replace the springs (rusted), and reprogram the computer, etc. I did the repairs on my own for less than $500 in parts. the computer reprogramming is a complete face as the computer adjusts to your driving on it own. read more

To get a good experience from a car dealership, especially while buying a used car ... is unheard of! But I am surprisingly taken aback by my experience with Brendan and Ammar at Colonial Voolkswagen of Westborough! Brendan didn't use any pressure selling tactics or try ask us questions which would somehow force our hand (or make us feel guilty) about making a decision that very day. It was a relaxing car-buying experience. The negotiation process was also painless and drama-free (No Sales Manager came to me saying "Do I deserve to make at least 200$ on a car deal etc). After that, I worked with Ammar for the add-on services and financing. I wasn't quite well-prepared for this ... in the sense that, I hadn't done my background research for the current market prices for add-on warranties and financing for used cars etc. So this process took a bit longer. But to Ammar's credit, he was patient and offered me various numbers that I requested at different APR numbers. I liked the overall car-buying experience a lot. I got a good deal for a car that I really like and at a good APR. Couldn't ask for more. read more
