Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

I was surprised to see that the ratings were much lower on yelp. I proceeded anyways because I was already on the phone as I was reading the reviews here. They got Mike, the owner next day to provide a quote. There was some slight mis communication with the timing but regardless he inspected my roof for about 10-15 minutes and emailed me over the quote at night. Overall the price quoted was reasonable, I did not move forward with O'lyn Roofing but I did appreciate them making the quote process easy and painless. I have gotten quotes from 2 other companies and they would make me sit through 60-90min presentation before just giving me a number. In one case I cut them off at 30min and they left without giving me a quote, instead insisted to reschedule another 30min to talk. No one have time for all that! Mike seems like a decent guy, straight to the point based on my short interactions with him and the quote process. Although I did not move forward with them for this particular project, I will keep them in mind if anything changes or if any other projects come up down the line.

This review is for the OUTSIDE of a house for rebuilding…read more I've been renting from the same large house for over 8 years. The entire place needed TLC, badly. Sprague did some of outside of the house that was large - it's a 3300sqft house, they fixed many parts including the south side of the house (sun facing) In multiple places on the south side, there were multiple bowing wood and 50+ loose screws, it looked like a tornado hit it. They took apart the entire wall within ONE day and had it built back up the next day, WOW!!! I rent, so I know my slumlord didn't ask for "better"- The South side of the house they just finished, looks so beautiful and it looks better than the rest of the of the house and I cannot even pinpoint WHY (besides it being new) but that's besides the facts - It's that good! They did a GREAT job and I hope they get a raise!! They are very nice and fast! Thank you!

Terrible experience. Costs came in significantly above quote. And my downspouts still leak. I…read morerequested them to fix these and they refused saying "that's downspouts, not gutters" and "oh, you're a gutter expert now." I pointed out that their crew was there and could have told me they leak but apparently that's not their problem. I now have to hire someone else to finish the job because they wont come back. They also left tons of sharp nails around the full perimeter of my house that my kids almost stepped on and my car almost had a punctured tire.
