This experience underscores the need for improvement in both service quality and responsiveness. I asked for a straight trim and this is what I got. The manager didn't even contact me back even after I went back in to ask for them and left a note on their desk and no response.

My hair stylist, Audrey, is not only extremely talented but also a warm and welcoming human being. She made me feel so comfortable during our appointment, offered me something to drink, was gentle and completely transformed my hair! I have major trust issues when it comes to hair stylists and she's the first one to touch my hair in about three years. I'm so happy to have found her. My work and schedule have changed and that meant that I needed to find a new stylist. I looked up reviews (she gets rave reviews) and then called and asked specifically if she worked well with curly hair (she said she was comfortable with curly hair) and let her know that my plan was to go from long, curly hair, to a long, curly pixie (short cut). Set the appointment. Got really excited! Arrived 20+ minutes early to have time to get a feel for things and make sure we had time to discuss the cut/plan. I barely had a consultation. Was in and out in less than an hour - super quick for such a major transformation. Ordered some curly cream to pick up the next day, and expressed some concerns about the sides still being really thick. Joanna said she would be available to fix any bits that bothered me. (Totally reasonable for there to be some things to adjust after playing with it - it was a big change.) When I called the next day to make sure I could pick up the curl cream and let her know I needed some adjustments with the bottom layer, she didn't have the curl cream (miscommunication between us) and didn't have an opening to fix my hair for a week. That felt like a long time to walk around frustrated and self-conscious about a transformation cut... but, I took it and worked with the cut. (Which now took more time to style than long, curly hair.) Then, on the morning of the fix appointment, Joanna texted early to say she needed to cancel and offered to reschedule... a week later. I offered to come any time during that day. But, she was double-booked all day. (I was going to be out of town - part of the reason I had really wanted to get it finished and be happy with it, since the events I would be going to were very picture-heavy.) I was so frustrated with her lack of commitment to me, as a customer, and with feeling like I couldn't trust her to take my experience seriously. I didn't take the next appointment offered. (It would have been 2 weeks since the original cut.) And eventually decided to find someone else to "fix" it. Joanna is super nice. I think she is likely very loyal to her longterm clients. Based on my experience, though, if you have curly hair or are looking for a very new "do", I can't suggest her. I never felt like my experience or my hair were her priority. What was a very exciting thing for me turned into something I had to have "fixed" by someone else. (Now, it's too short ... but it's not a blob on the side of my head, so that's cool.) I've paid for two haircuts. (Joanna's was the most expensive cut only + tip I've ever had). And I was too self-conscious to happily pose for pics on a really important day for our family. I really, really hate to leave a non-positive review for anybody. We all have bad days. But, this needed to be handled better and I don't want anyone else to go through it. Hair is a big deal. We need to trust the person messing with it.

Over $200 for a trim and color. I was use to paying these prices at other high end salons and it was not a problem. Camille recently gave me a trim and color. Camille had colored my hair a few months ago and It was time for a trim and color touch up. I wanted Camille to tone down the brassy blonde and get rid of the gray at my roots. She died the root area a dark brown and said she would apply a glaze over the rest to tone down the blonde. I paid $174 plus a tip of $25. Once finished I loved the cut but remarked my root area looked to dark and wasn't well blended with the bottom part of my hair. I was not satisfied. Camille said that was the style. A few days later I reached out to Camille to let her know my dissatisfaction. She said for an additional $55 I could have 10 highlights put in and she would put another glaze on. I felt like I was a great client for 2 years and had spent thousands with Camille's business. I believe Camille should have offered to make me happy and fix the issue at no cost. I now see it is all about the money and not the customer service. I was not trying to take advantage. I just want my color right and get what I had already paid for. Raleigh is full of talented stylists and I have taken my business elsewhere.

If you come from the parking lot side, you go in Beaux Mondes and go towards the front. Her Suite is so cute and organized. She uses L'Oréal product and other high end product. On Saturday, March 20, 2021 I went to the salon and the woman inside the shop did not ask as to why I am standing outside. Called again and spoke with Patricia in which she asked for my phone number. Received a text from Patricia today, March 22, 2021 asking me to text my name, email and time I would like to come in in which I did. I sent text telling Patricia what hair services I wanted and asked about the cost. Patricia told me that when my hair appointment is scheduled, the system will send a notification which will include cost estimate. She also stated that she cannot do a phone quote on what she doesn't know what she is looking at. I asked Patricia if I come in at 6:00 a.m. will she be finished by 10:00 a.m. as I had an appointment in North Raleigh. She stated yes. I also asked her does she have a cool setting on the blow dryer. Patricia told me "I'm a professional of over 30 years. I don't usually do all this ask and forth texting. I will see you for your appointment where we can discuss your service." I responded to Patricia by stating that "I'm sure you are a professional woman with years of experience. However, I called the shop twice. I also left a voice message that I did not get a response. On Saturday, I went to the shop and called again. That's when you answered the phone. I suggest you take tips on how to be more professional." Patricia then responded back by saying "You know I was coming in on my day off to accommodate you tomorrow. But I think a stylist that is less busy would be a better fit for you. Good luck in your search." From looking at the three reviews from 2017 and 2018, I see why business at this hair salon is very slow. No customers since 2018? Word of advice to Patricia at Your Time Hair Care Salon. Unless you a celebrity stylist, your business is customer-based, you will be more successful if you learn professional etiquette in dealing with potential new customers. I suggest you you learn from this experience because negative word of mouth can be detrimental to your business.
