This happened month after month. Finally, last Christmas, on the day of an appointment I couldn't afford to reschedule due to an event, I pushed back against a weather related excuse considering there was no weather event occurring and determined that I had not been told the truth about her not being there that day. After 4 phone calls, back-and-forth, I was granted the appointment that had been on the books for nearly 2 months. During the appointment, I tried to talk to her about the last-minute rescheduling and false excuses that I was given on a pretty regular basis, but it seemed lost on her that operating this way was in any way wrong considering the inconveniences it caused me. She even asked me why I couldn't be more flexible, much to my surprise. I would have thought that the business she works for would have provided some kind of check on this practice. In my mind, if a customer schedules an appointment in advance, that appointment should be honored -- or at the least not shuffled the day of the appointment. In all honesty, a couple of months later, I'm still searching for someone that does as good of a job as she did, but I can't stomach giving more money to a business that casually lies to me every couple of months.
