Zero stars if possible. The guy, who usually sits in the entrance was either in a bad mood or having a bad day because his attitude was very confrontational today. Came in for 2 pedicures. We waited 4 hours, only to have to walk out without the service because a girl added on a pedicure last minute after her nail set.. so she was seated in the chair, after my sister and myself were waiting for hours. My sister was seated for over an hour in the pedicure chair, waiting for her pedicure to get started and they start the add on pedicure first. The male worker said he "forgot" that the girl also had asked for a pedicure but we heard her add on her pedicure after her nails were completed! He then got rude and began arguing with us saying that we needed to wait in the order and said why didn't we make an appointment. Even with appointments, they still pull the same thing. We couldn't schedule since we live out of town, so while visiting the area we wanted to try and get a pedicure on our only day off.. when we walked in the first time, we asked if they couldn't do our pedicures to please let us know so we can try finding another place that was open. They said they would do our pedicures just to wait a bit.. but towards the end we had no choice but to leave. As a first time visit, I have made an appointment with Jack seeing the pictures from Yelp but I was assigned to a different technician instead. So I felt a little scammed. Instead I had my nails done by Kevin, he was very polite and it's cool meeting a male nail technician and all but I felt like their was a language barrier to properly communicate what I actually wanted. I believe because of the amount of walk-ins they accept, they do a rushed and not so careful job. I got my nails done and originally requested gel and ended up getting acrylic powder. My nails came out so slanted. On top of that when I arrived I requested a certain color and they stated they did have it but when it was time for them to color they said they didn't so i had to end up getting a color that I disliked. $20 to TAKE OFF GEL NAILS wth! I had regular gel nails with some rhinestones on them. At first, the guy said it would be $10 (kind of a lot since I get mine taken off for $5 at my place, AND I tip well after, but I thought, maybe it's because of the rhinestones so I was like eh okay). So, at first the guy tried to pry my nails off using an acrylic nail and sticking it under the gel and in between my real nail, yeah OUCH and it hurt a lot. I said ow quite a few times and he just laughed then told another lady that I said "ow, ow, ow" and the lady took over. Then she tried to do the same thing and I said ouch and she kept laughing too. Then I finally said "can you soak it in acetone instead please it hurts?" and she said okay. If you get your nails done, you know that an acetone soak and filing down is the professional way. But not here. Well eventually my gel was taken off. But not all of it was taken off.... But I did have pink gel so I guess I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she thought it was my real nail. Upon my transaction, she said $20 and I was shook! She said $10 to take it off by RIPPING IT OFF and $10 EXTRA for the ACETONE soak off. I said whatttt you guys did not tell me that, if they did I would have gone elsewhere!! (Because $20 dang I could've gone to a different place for $5 or waited and peeled that isht off for free!) She said that she told me it was $10 extra for the acetone soak off and was persistent on it, but I definitely did not hear her tell me that. But I may not have heard her because of the language barrier. But I am so sure that I did not hear it bc boy if I did I would've been gone lol. Anyways we didn't want to make a scene so I just paid the $20 but didn't tip since honestly that amount should include the tip at that point. I have been in a serious search for a good nail salon. After finding this place with 4 starts my friend and I decided to give it a go. We both asked for gel manicures. Their main focus was the gel, but they forgot about the manicure. They cut my cuticles, after demanding cuticle softener, the guy pour some in the dish. He was cutting my cuticles dry. He refused to soak my nails. It got so bad I took over and grabbed the nail file to even out my nails. The only decent thing was the color, but considering the horrible attempt for a manicure, multiple cuts and uneven nails, $28 seems a bit steep. Add a $1 charge for using your card. Bad service.
