I had to turn to yelp to find out what kind of fun things do people have at first birthdays. With stellar reviews, I decided to contact Aloha Glitter Tattoos. Marilyn was so helpful with the process of deciding the services and how many to order for the amount of people that we were having. I had estimated 350 people (230 probably showed up) so I made sure that I ordered enough so that there wouldn't be long lines. I wanted the typical stuff. Popcorn, cotton candy, and glitter tattoos. Then my husband wanted balloon animals. I kind of didn't want any from the previous not so great comment about the balloon animals but, what did it matter for an difference of $60 bucks to add on to the entire package for 4 hours? I reserved the services way in advanced and at times I forgot how much balance I had to pay because you don't get any paperwork on the services you order or total. They remember all of that. So, just make sure you write it down somewhere. If not, you can be like me and bug Marilyn all the time. She never seemed irritated with me. A couple days before the party, Carmella (I think if I remember right) contacted me to review the services for the party and reminded me of the amount of tables and chairs they needed. On the party day, Carmella introduced herself to me and my husband and they found the best place to set up. My husband had to break the news to me that the cotton candy machine was out of service, so they replaced that service with face painting and henna tattoo's. I know my dad really wanted cotton candy but... to my surprise... My dad got two face paintings (one side a butterfly and the other a centipede) and I swear neck paintings. LOL. At first nobody was really in the area and I thought it was because it was in a weird spot but, once my dad started and all the kids seen the work, they got in line too. It was sort of a blessing that the cotton candy machine was broken. I thought it was going to be weird to have face painting and henna tattoos. It totally wasn't. You need to get this. All the prices are totally reasonable. If you are looking for a kid friendly party, you need to hire these guys! Even when they left, Carmella and the gang (looked like young kids) came up and each said thank you to my husband and I. I thought that was very nice of them. Something you don't see often. So, even though they made simple balloons, the little kids get amazed by anything. And that was all that mattered to me. I really didn't see many balloon animals. I think I only seen a flower and some swords LOL but that was because the flower was in my car and kids were playing sword fight. I received a lot of compliments on the way our party was so kid friendly. Don't get me wrong though, the parents got some work done too!

NEW STENCIL EVERY TIME!…read more Kids love tattoos. Kids love tattoos that stay on for days. KIDS LOVE TATTOOS THAT STAY ON FOR DAYS AND HAVE BLING! These tattoo artists have bling-BLING! No airbrushing involved! Each tattoo starts with a new stencil which sticks to the skin with adhesive. Glue is then applied and the glitter is painted on. After the stencil is peeled off (and discarded), the rhinestones are applied and set. We went to a party with Aloha Glitter Tattoos and the kids absolutely loved their tattoos! Some of them got one on each arm AND each leg!! The boys got dragons and UH warriors tattoos and the girls got all kinds of cute flowers and cupcakes with rhinestones! The tattoos are supposed to last 7 days but I'm sure my daughter will try to make it last 2 weeks. She loves tattoos. She loves glitter tattoos. I might have to book them for her next party. 2 body artists, 2 hours, $200.

Follow them on Instagram for their weekly menu offering and where they will be popping up. They have several dessert offerings such as banana bread, pumpkin bread, different cheesecakes, rice crispy brownies, and way more. All look good and they offer some samples to taste. What really stood out for me, and I ordered a whole bunch of them (20 bags) is their freeze dried pumpkin crunch cake to give as Christmas presents. They were to die for! I've had freeze dried candies before, and maybe other vendors make freeze dried pastries, but Pami's was the first to offer me a sample and I was sold! Light, crisp, airy, and so sweet and tasty. None of the flavor of the pumpkin crunch cake is lost in the freeze drying process. (They have a freeze drying machine.) I ordered them one week, for pick up the next, putting down half as down payment. The following Saturday (today) I went to pick them up and they were nicely bagged, waiting for me. They even gave me a thank you gift bag of their freeze dried malted balls (said to throw a couple in black coffee - can't wait to try it - sounds so delicious!) and a bag of freeze dried croissant bread pudding - yum! They said several other customers were picking up orders, too. They offer freeze dried banana bread and rice crispy treats, too. Have tried the banana bread and it takes banana bread to a whole different level when it's freeze dried. The flavors are much more concentrated, and turns it into a unique treat or gift. Will definitely return in the future when I need a gift, or want to treat myself!

The train actually goes faster than you would think, considering it's chugging through pedestrian traffic. To catch the train, take a seat in the row of chairs right outside of the food court across from Toys R Us (great marketing tactic) and wait for the train to arrive. Pay the conductor in cash and hop on board. My 2 1/2 year old son rode it for the first time and enjoyed it very much. He wanted to go again when it was over, but at $8 a pop ($4 for him, $4 for me), we can't afford any "hana hou's". At least not during this visit. I know he'll want to ride the train the next time we visit the mall, so I'll need to be sure to bring some cash with me. Cash only.

Who says that one thing can change your day…read more.. Have you ever seen the art Aloha Sweet Cotton Candy makes!?! This tiny little cart makes cotton candy figures and one of them of course totally captured my attention...Cony! It has all the features and I was that close to get one but I had other plans and decided to pass. Fortunately there was a sweet dad getting his daughter a piggy and omg super super cute! Just seeing that expression on her face was just priceless and a few others gathering around watching with such love seeing this sweet child feeling like the luckiest kid was amazing. This does take me back to Harajuku with the giant rainbow cotton candy and the fun it brings. I do make an effort for some me time and fun experiences as taking that time to make your soul happy can be as simple and something sweet. Thank you!
