I think their smoothies and juices are pretty good but don't waste your money on the salads and sandwiches, they are really terrible.

Sometimes good. Sometimes...not. I ordered delivery from her when they first opened up. It was a total shit show. They forgot at least two things from our order and then promised to resend it. However, it took them almost an hour. Since then things have gotten better, but not incredibly. Most recently I ordered the surf and turf (steak and fish with veggies) plus the shrimp bowl (comes with brown rice and veggies) and a side of brown rice and a fresh citrus juice. The salmon is always overcooked and this time the steak was pretty dry. Ultimately there aren't so many healthy places in the area so this will make me come back here every now and then. When it's a hit it's a hit, but when it's bad it's pretty bad. Hopefully they'll continue to get things better. You can see some of my pictures even they look like lackluster . read more

I've always walked by Color Me Greens, but never stepped in. I'm glad that today was the day I did! It's one of the few healthy options around the area and I am not disappointed. I got the chicken protein bowl and am happy to say I am full and happy. The bowl came with brown rice, chicken, and veggies. I didn't expect to be fully filled after the meal as the portion size looks a bit small, but I can happily report that I struggled to finish the entire meal. Fantastic meal when you don't have time to cook healthy yourself. They also have salads, wraps, and smoothies that I'd like to give a try some time soon! I found this juice bar on yelp and I'm a new fan! The first time I went the cashier was cool and answered every question I asked. I ordered the CMG Monster juice, an Avocado Pesto hot wrap and the Surf and Turf with chipotle sauce. The juice was really tasty and refreshing (will be my new fav) the surf and turf was delicious, the grilled veggies were fresh and the whole dish had great seasoning. The wrap was okay, my only complaint is there was literally only 1 small slice of avocado in the "avocado pesto" wrap that I got, that was disappointing. They should probably change the name to "chicken pesto wrap" because there was more lettuce and chicken if anything. My second visit I ordered pick up through yelp (which was easy). This time I ordered a Bison bowl w/ Asian sesame sauce, first time eating bison and I like it. I also ordered the portobello mushroom panini, also delicious. I called for pick-up and ordered 2 Protein Bowls w/ Chicken, Brown Rice, & BBQ sauce. Along with Mango Bango smoothie (mango, banana, strawberry, orange, & yogurt.) and my go-to drink at all juice bars: The Green Machine (spinach, kale, Apple, celery, lemon, chia seeds) not a huge fan of chia seeds but the juice was excellent. Color Me Greens? More like Color Me Average. I ordered the kale chicken caesar salad and a banana, peach, mango smoothie. The salad was eh, nothing to rave about. There were massive chunks of uncut kale and the chicken was so dry but I did like the dressing. The smoothie was literally like drinking air, no flavor whatsoever. We were a little hesitant because of the ginger and carrots, but loved it. We shared a salad, no complaints. We both got protein bowls. The steak was good, but portion size is a little small...I think they should serve a little more of the protein. The brown rice was a little hard. I'd probably try the quinoa next time... I took a walk after working out with my best friend and we were starving. We wanted a healthy option so we stopped by here to eat in. We ordered sweet potato fries, pure power juice, green machine juice, club bushwick wrap, and chipotle chicken club panini. Everything was DELICIOUS. Our order of fries came out first and we demolished that right away. There was a few people waiting for orders, so we figured the staff was a little busy but no worries here. A manager or owner came up to us and offered us another order Of fries or drinks for the wait. That was very unexpected and extremely sweet especially since we weren't even upset waiting a few extra minutes. The only reason it's getting two stars is because the girl at the counter was PHENOMENALLY nice. That being said- When I got home with my first salad, it was immediately apparent that some of the lettuce was very wilted and/or discolored. I ended up pulling out about a third of the lettuce before I decided I would return it. I assumed it was a fluke and a bad batch of lettuce. The girl has apologetic and offered to replace it, which was kind (and appropriate) and I asked that they use kale instead this time, simply because I didn't trust their spring mix. Unfortunately, I didn't have the forethought to check the salad before returning home, and AGAIN ended up pulling out wilted and discolored leaves. For a place that apparently prides itself on its fresh GREENS (hence the name) they really need to spend a little more time checking their produce. They have a huge menu with a few unique offerings that make it the place to go if you want to really treat yourself for lunch and spend a lil more for better quality. I had the bison protein bowl the first time which was pretty bland, but also very healthy. I think I chose the wrong sauce. I had a few of my date's fries though and they were bangin'. Today, I dropped by for lunch and grabbed a bison burger with spicy fries. I regretfully forgot to ask for cheese, but the bison was juicy enough this time that it didn't matter much. I wish they'd throw some special sauce on the burger itself, but I'll just have to remember to ask for that next time. I just threw some of my ketchup on there and it was straight. The meat quality was very good and well-prepared (medium, how I like it). The spicy fries were amazing. The meal left me with a zen feeling so I know the quality was up there. I'm a regular customer. Today around 10:22pm I called the business to place an order for pick up. The girl that answer the call said they were close. I was so upset off the improper way of her response that showed poor customer service that proceeded to tell her they closed at 11pm. She answer and said "no, we close at 10:30!" Finally! An amazing juice place in Bushwick. I started a Yelp account just to review. Favorite juices so far: The Greens, The Cedar Detoxifier and the CMG Limeade. A large juice is only $6!!!! That's a great price for organic juice. The Tiffer Panini is SO GOOD I can't even explain how savory it is. My boyfriend had a bite of mine to taste and he said he didn't want to swallow it because it tasted so good! For $7.95 that is an amazing and filling deal! He ordered the Bison burger which doesn't have traditional buns, they are like burger sized pita pieces. Will be ordering here and swinging by their spot (right by the L & M train) often.
