My husband and two boys came here the Saturday before Father's Day and it was a little busy, but not too bad. We had a GREAT time. This is such a cute place for a date night or family outing. We decided to go here because the traditional gift to give for 9 years anniversary is pottery, and what better place to go than Color Me Mine? (: There are a LOT of ceramics to choose from so you can truly get creative and personal with your selection. There are many options including piggy banks, plates, bowls, dishes, mugs, etc. You have to pay $10 painting fee per painter in addition to the price of your selected ceramic. Our grand total was about $74, which seems pricey, but it was worth it because we had a great time, and we were able to make customized gifts for one another. The girls there were really friendly, and one girl in particular who helped us was SO SWEET! I wish I got her name. She was so accommodating and friendly towards our two little boys. We didn't pay to have the boys paint a ceramic piece because they're too young. However, she gave them some paint and coloring sheets so they wouldn't be bored. That was incredibly helpful because it allowed my husband and I to concentrate a bit better. We stayed there for about 1.5 hours and they kept checking back on us and getting us paint. We asked for a lot of paint, and they never seemed annoyed or rushed us. They also gave a lot of good tips and advice! Thank you, ladies, for a fun night! This place is a great date night if you enjoy chatting and painting. I did something similar years ago but the designs were very basic. What I like about this place is that they have things to paint that people find interesting. For example they had a Star Wars section which is something polar empire peeked to paint and have. I enjoyed how helpful the staff was during the process. They always checked on us if we needed paint and answered our questions with kindness. Visited here for a birthday gathering. There are various items to choose from and the employees are very helpful. It took about 2 weeks to receive the finished items (I'll drop the picture below). This was a fun activity for everyone! Good for friends, date night, kids, family visits, etc. it did take longer than I thought, but we also put quite a bit of detail on our projects so this can range from 1 hour to however long you want. I do wish we could've gotten them sooner, but that's just because we were excited and impatient the turnaround time was 1.5 weeks, which they said when it would be ready. I've been here twice now and both times there's this sense of urgency about the place. I have felt rushed both times. The space is fairly small so be prepared to sit near strangers and paint. The tables are so close together there's hardly room to walk and get supplies. It is a hassle to get someone to get more paint, especially when you're painting a big item. I also don't know why they don't have you sponge wash your pottery prior to painting as the ceramic is dusty. I had to wipe mine with a paper towel to get the dust and debris off. I think just the location itself has been a turn off for me because I don't want to sit and paint in what feels like a closet. I'd prefer a little more space and environment that feels like I can take my time. read more

First time there today. Took my daughter and her two friends which they really enjoyed it. Even if their AC wasn't working, the owner was there and he was very polite and gave us water. I purchased a Groupon for the studio fee which helped but their prices weren't bad. I would definitely go again. Other workers were nice as well and welcoming. There was a long wait time but I had the patience. I think it would be less crowded on a weekday. Tables were filled. They were easy to understand, good at explaining & helpful. ------------------------------ --colors | paint went on smoothly and we were given multiple brushes. There were a lot of color options. The workers gave a generous amount of paint. For the right color you needed to put on 3 coats. The paints were a nice color though number 70 is lighter than expected. It was personally just my experience though. Paint worked well. ------------------------------ You have to wait 1-2 weeks to get your pottery painting. I did something like this in my home country as well. I don't recommend doing this if you have no experience with painting or painting 3d objects. I love places like this! It was so much fun to hang out and paint and talk with my friends. It does take a while to paint depending on how intricate you get so make sure you plan for it taking at least 2+hours. The prices were a little steep but they weren't that bad. I love pottery painting, so I took my niece for a day out! The place has a variety of pottery to paint, so we picked ours (a sugar bowl and a spider-man piggy bank). We both took a seat and picked out our 4-5 colors. The workers were really friendly and I enjoyed their customer service. We picked our pieces up after a few days and they look awesome! One recommendation is to ask for a bowl or paint if you have a big area to paint. It is so much faster than waiting for someone to get you paint. Also, it seems like there are groupons often for this place, I would recommend picking one up or it can be pricey. For the 2 of us to paint, it cost us $78 bucks without a groupon. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon, and the person who helped us was more interested in painting her own piece in the corner than to guide us through the process... we didn't feel welcomed at all. We didn't have a specific issue with her, other than feeling that we were intruding in her personal time. My daughter and I visited CMM while attending a friend's birthday party and were very impressed. It's not a huge place, but it has a nice little birthday room in the back and is the perfect way to celebrate a little girl's birthday. Each child got to pick out and paint their own pottery as part of the party. My daughter and the other kids had a blast. My aunt, cousin, nana and I visited color me mine to partake in a family tradition of ceramic painting. We had a great deal through Groupon and a unique circumstance as 3/4 of us were from out of state. The ladies helping us were so gracious in accommodating the out of state guests explaining they can take items to bake at a home location. The only reason I took a star off is we weren't offered aprons and at one point I asked for an apron and got a child's apron thinking it was all they had. In the back on the bathroom door are the adult sized aprons. Overall a great activity and a keepsake craft you come back to retrieve within 7-10 days. read more

My sister and I have been talking about taking my little cousin here to spend some time with her and finally got around to it. Groupon was also running a special so I scooped that up and it brought the total down a good amount. There is a painting charge per painter and the cost of the pottery. Pick your pottery, look over the color chart they provide you and select the colors you want. The attendant brings your back a little palette with your paints and you're free to paint whatever you'd like for however long it takes. They do have squeeze bottles available with a fine tip so you can do intricate designs and a slew of brushes. Once you're done painting, you pay and then wait for the phone call that your piece has been fired. Service was fantastic and I had a good time. Would definitely consider having my birthday party here in the future as its a neat group activity. read more

The lady in charge here is super friendly and I give her and her small staff five stars. The paints, brushes, and miscellaneous supplies are all well organized, which is always a plus. Overall, it's a great place for kids especially when it's intolerably hot or rainy outside. So, my reasons for knocking two stars are: It gets kinda crowded. I may have gone at the wrong time. I went on a Tuesday because they have 2 for 1 studio fees (usually $5/child). Next time, I will probably just pay the extra $5 to possibly avoid the crowd. The prices for the ceramic pieces are a bit steep. My kids are 2 and 4 years old, and I think they would have done better with acrylic paints rather than glazes. I would recommend Color Me Mine for children that are at least 6 years old. They might find it easier to paint since they have a better perception of colors after they have been baked in the kiln. We paid $20 per piece, which were both small trinket boxes. Since I haven't been to a glaze painting studio in about 4 years, I am unsure what other places charge, however for me it's a bit on the expensive side. Towards the end of our time here, my kids got rather cranky. My daughter was sleepy and we were waiting for my son to finish up on his piece. The employees of Color Me Mine never said anything to me but I did get "looks" from other people painting there. Another reason I suggest you not take young children. I try to plan things around nap time but sometimes nap time comes earlier than expected. Take that bit of information for what it's worth. I would go back, but it will probably be with a group of girlfriends or just one child at a time. Even with the help of my mom, it was a little hectic. In the end, my kids loved their pieces (they took about a week to be ready) but I don't know if it was worth $50 and a couple of hours of entertainment. read more

Let me start by saying this place is pricey. Especially since I take my almost four year old for some mommy and me time, and he is finished painting in about 30-40 minutes tops.The cost per person to paint includes the use of brushes, unlimited paint choices (about six at a time) and the firing process when you are finished. Then you pay for the cost of the item you chose, which ranges from as low as $8 on up to about $50. Now, I do have to say that even with the steep price I find that this is a great activity for he two of us to share. We only go occasionally, and the staff have always been welcoming and friendly. I try to take my little guy when a relatives birthday or a special occasion such as valentines day or Christmas is approaching. That way he gets to paint and we have a one of a kind present to give to daddy, grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc. When you look at it as creating a special gift the cost doesn't seem nearly as harsh. I think it would be a great girls night out, and the ladies have told me that adults are encouraged to come in on Thursday evenings with their own BYOB of choice to enjoy while painting. Sounds like a nice way to catch up with girlfriends to me. All in all I recommend this place, even if it is just as an occasional something different to do. read more
