A cute and fun activity - something different to do on a day when it's too cold to go outside. We stopped by on a Saturday around noon and it was packed. There was a birthday party going on in the party room, and almost every table in the main section was taken. There's a set fee of $9 per painter for the studio fee, and then you pay for the price of whichever piece you select. Then you get to pick five colors to put on your palette. My daughters had fun painting. They are probably little for this activity, but it's been so cold out that we just wanted something new to do. If you have littles I'd just encourage you to pick an easy piece. We actually missed an entire wall of kid friendly pieces, so I wish we knew about that. They have a good selection of pieces to paint, and I can definitely see us coming back here again in the future, and also might even consider it for my daughter's fifth birthday party! read more

I absolutely Love coming to this specific,Color Me Mine, location!! They have a whole different variety of things to do! The owner and staff members are all so very friendly and welcoming. Very clean and organized environment and my children love it!! There is, also, always a selection to choose from ,for each holiday, as well! The items we choose to paint and decorate need to always be handled with care bc they can be fragile. I have Halloween and Father's Day porcelain paintings we chose from and still have it in the best of condition, 6 years later! I love all of their different selections and can also host birthdays parties here! Kids love bdays here, as, they let their inner creativity shine!! SO much fun!! I had an absolute blast visiting this place to create my work of art that now hangs at MOMA in NYC worth a million bucks...in my own mind & realm of alternate reality. LOL! This is a cute shop that not only does the painting workshops but they have all kinds of art work you can create or paint. The instructor that worked with my painting group was awesome, patient and helpful. I've wanted to do one of these for a long while now but sadly I couldn't find anything near me that was under 1 hour away. Way better than a canvas paint and wine party! The pottery selection here is quite expansive, so there's plenty to choose from whether you're a newbie (me fo' sho) or an expert painter. Endless possibilities as long as you're feeling creative... and patient. Oh yes, patience is key. Painting isn't so much the hard part. The hard part is the color selection, running back and forth to the paint station to refill your palette, deciding on whether you want to use various stencils and sponges to enhance your design, having to paint your piece twice (per staff, a must in order for colors to be vibrant), and most of all, knowing your vision and having precision. Phew! How did this seem so easy when I was 7? Three hours later... voila! I have my own masterpiece! Oh wait, technically a week and three hours later. It's important to note your pottery piece takes a week to kindle and glaze. A big lengthy if you ask me, but well worth the wait to have bragging rights for something you created. It's been years since I've been to a paint your own pottery place (decades actually...yikes), and my first time back for a girls night was definitely enjoyable. Being able to bring our own snacks and wine was the icing on the cake for the evening, but at the end of the day, having bragging rights to a one-of-a-kind Pusheen mug is the true victory here. read more

I can't give them a zero or I would. Had a party there with my girl scout troop and was promised my items within a week or a week and a half. They called me to pick up party items, leaving me a message. I went the next day and they were on a vacation. Why not tell me that in your message? Also, why not update your phone message and online hours. To make me happy, the owner Tony said he would mail me the items. Well, they mailed me the wrong things. What a joke this company is. (Finally- I wrote this review on Google and the company said they reported me to Girls Scouts of America for threatening them. I've been to this Color Me Mine location on multiple occasions. If you are going to drop in for a project I've had always had an ok experience. My daughter wanted her party here in the worst way so we booked it. We had about 25 children for the party which I was told they could accommodate and that some kids would have to sit out in the studio which I was ok with. With 25 kids little kids come their parents as well so we had a lot of people which I wasn't told would be a problem. I was told on the day of that we couldn't have any additional tables especially when it got close to the studio opening like we were promised and when I got upset the girl (I believe Roxanne) called the owner on me which she ended up agreeing that we could have a table anyway. We were only assigned one party host that was very overwhelmed with our party. She did the best she could and I was very grateful! They told me it would take a week and a half to 2 weeks for the pieces to be ready and we're past 2 weeks at this point and they're still not ready. I definitely would not recommend this place for a party. Very disappointed! read more

Horrible waste of time. Broken pieces. Went there on my daughters birthday to make gifts for each other. Spent over $60 and 3+ hours to make. Got call week later saying 1 piece broke but I wanted them to try to glue it to make it work due to sentimental value. They informed me they'd glue it and mgr would call me in few days to further discuss. Get call from staff week later saying both pieces are now broken and they'd give me gift card for amount spent to be used at store. They broke both my pieces no explanation no phone call from manager and offered me my money back that I spent with no consideration for gas/time spent there/sentimental value. Nothing!!! Don't go there. They don't care. You'll waste time and money and be left with bad experience only. My daughter was so heartbroken she spent time on making that gift for me as I did for her. She was so proud of it. For them to be so careless and heartless about the situation is disturbing. Shame on them. Complete letdown. Don't go there!!! For Christmas, I decided I would paint a vase for my mom. My father and I booked an appointment here and it was great! The paint colors are vibrant, the pottery is fun-looking and cute, and the staff are very courteous. They're very fun people. They definitely knew what they were doing. I went to Color Me Mine for the first time today and I will definitely be returning many more times!! I came with my two year old daughter and my three year old niece and they both had a great time! The owner, his wide and daughters were so kind and patient with us, while my daughter picked out colors to paint her project! Fun! I've been here a few times (twice with friends, once as a date, and again with my sister) and enjoyed myself every time. Basically, you just pick out something ceramic (plate, mug, figurine, etc.) and glaze it and then the staff will fire it in the kiln and you're allowed to pick it up one week later. Each item is displayed on a shelf and has a sticker indicating the price and in addition to the cost of the piece, you pay some sort of sitting/glazing fee. It's relaxing and fun. Once you walk in, the staff will talk you through the process and then leave you alone to paint. If you want to host your kids' birthday party here, the staff will help you keep the kids under control and help them out (from what I've seen). The employees I've dealt with are all really nice, and though not all of them are artistic, a few are extremely talented from what I've seen (they have examples of how you can glaze your projects scattered throughout the store). read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I took my 2 little sisters here twice. Once because I thought it'd be fun, then a second time because I made the mistake of bringing them with me when I went to pick up our finished projects ("Lauren can we just paint ONE MORE?!"). It can get pricey, because in addition to whatever ceramic you pick, you have to pay a studio fee. Over 7 years old is $9, under is $6. You betcha grandma Bettie that magically, both of them were under 7 that day! The first time I spent around $100 for the three of us, the second time I had another sister with me, and it was about $130 for the four of us. So basically, set a budget. The first time I said $25 each, the second $15, but they went over anyways... The supplies they give you are really great. I sat there at a loss of how to decorate this thing, then I discovered masking tape! All different widths! You should see my mug, I'm so proud of it... All thanks to the tape. There are gallon bags of stencils organized by topic, rulers, pencils, erasers, sponges, lace, stamps, etc etc. Anything and everything to make sure your ceramic looks like a masterpiece. The second best thing to the masking tape are the little bottles of paint that they capped with mechanical pencil heads. They let you make precise lines, better than anything you could do with a brush. I loved those things. They have little ceramic trays with dime sized indentations for the paint, but you'll find yourself filling more than one with the same color in order to have enough for the required 5 coats of paint. There's a hairdryer in back, which helps in drying sections so you can move on quickly. Speaking of quickly, I spent 4 hours in there with two "seven year olds" and didn't even realize it... So go when you have an afternoon to kill, stop by Subway on the way home and dump them in bed! read more

This was my first time here and I had a lot of fun! I picked out a large mug and painted for about 3 hours with some friends. It was surprised therapeutic and allowed us to be as creative as we wanted to be! The store itself was quite large and had a huge selection of cups, bowls, frames, animals, salt and pepper shakers, pencil holders, jewelry holders, etc. There were a lot of beautiful colors to choose from, as well as stencils, sponges, various brushes, stamps, and whatever you needed to paint. The staff were super nice and attentive and always asking us if we had any questions or needed help. Halfway through painting, we even took a food break to refuel (it was nice to be able to bring in food that we got from a local deli). I noticed that they also sold some snacks and drinks for cheap too! After we were done, they told us to come back in a week to pick up the final product. This place is a great way to spend time with family and friends, or even to just come by yourself and have some me-time! It's honestly so relaxing and fun. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because I thought that $9 per person for the paint was a little expensive, especially since we were already paying a lot for the cups and bowls. I just hosted my son's 5th birthday party here. This was the first kid party that he has ever had. What a great decision that was!!! From the very beginning when I had emailed to get more information on how the party package worked, I received a prompt, detailed response answering all of my questions. They were flexible with accepting the deposit either in person or over the phone in order to secure the date. After the deposit you only pay for whatever piece of pottery the kids pick out. They have the option of providing the food/cake for you or you can bring it all to the location yourself. When we got to the party, they were already setting everything up. The host, Jordan, was knowledgeable and well tempered for dealing with toddlers! She did a great job getting everything organized and the party moved along seamlessly. Even the owner was there and checked in often to make sure everything was okay. All in all, it was a great experience and my son was beyond excited. I can't wait to pick up all the finished pieces this weekend so I can drop them off at his school. What a great memory for such a special birthday! read more
