Employee named "Mia" was completely rude over the phone when following up on an order. Waited two weeks without a call from them to find out it was ready. The whole point of going to this place is to have a pleasant experience ESPECIALLY because of the extremely high price you pay. Two mugs plus sitting fee was close to $60 dollars. After weeks of calling- as they don't call to advise items are ready- they advised the items were not located and appeared to have been lost. Drove to the studio to attempt to pick up and possibly troubleshoot- gave Elena different names, phone number and she offered to look for the items kiddos painted a month prior - they offered to waive the sitting fees and provided credit for equal items. As the kids were 1/3 way into the painting- she located the items that had been inquired on for the last 3 weeks. She said we would have to pay the fees and for the new pieces or we could stop painting and leave. This used to be a good little gem- but it seems like their customer services needs help. They didn't offer to help with anything even though Elena heard the puff paints were dry. Overall- zero out of zero! Had been loyal customers but will be driving to Brea next time. read more

Don't go to this location! Go to the Pasadena one instead! The young girl that works there is very rude and rushed you through everything. I paid $76 dollars for 2 pieces and to paint with my niece, the worker didn't interact with us or offer to help us. Once we were done she took forever to check me out and was still very rude. I called 2 weeks later to see if our order was ready cause I haven't heard from them. She said no it wasn't ready so I waited another week then called yesterday September 6th, I mentioned that I never got notified if my order was ready or now and she said "yeah we don't reach out to you n let you know you have to call or come in and ask" (that's dumb but okay) the Pasadena location sends you and email or calls you when you're order is ready. So she tells me my order is ready and then says have a nice day and tried to hang up on me. I asked her what time they open tomorrow (September 7th) she said they are open from 12-9pm then hangs up on me. So I go today to pick up my order at 1pm and surprise surprise they are closed! The place is really not kept up well. It's small, crowded and hard to get to the supplies. Staff really don't interact with you at all. Also after the session I called to see if the item is ready and still there. I was placed on hold for 25 min and I could hear them talking to other customers on the phone. I called another time during business hours and the phone just rang. We paid $10 per person for the studio fee and the ceramic ranges from $20-$30 per person i spent $77.18 for the session and got nothing in return. Either they don't have enough staff or are not organized. Either way won't be returning. read more

It was a fun experience but I'm confused why there would be a "sitting fee"? Also, when I went to pick up my stuff a week later (they told me which day to come back), the girl told me my order wasn't ready and it would be ready in three more weeks because their glazer was out of town. I first got mad that no one contacted me that it would take long because I drove up here after work. Then I got home and immediately got a phone call saying it was ready for pick up... just wasted my time and it was just pretty pricey already so idk why they needed to add a sitting fee on top of that...? This is the worst Color Me Mine i have ever been to. I wanted letters inside of my cup and i taped it exactly how i wanted them to be placed and they are crooked and not centered at all. not to mention one of the letters is flipped backwards. On top of that my cup took THREE WEEKS, almost a whole month to be finished. My cup was only part of why I don't recommend this location. my sisters cup also had her letter placed crooked and she wanted a letter placed on the outside of her cup and the worker said it would be fine so she tapped it how she wanted. when we came today to pick up our cups FINALLY! we saw how our cups were not how we wanted. my sisters letters were placed crooked inside as well as mine. the letter she wanted on the outside was just loose it wasn't even attached. so we went back and told them our issue. typically we are not the type to go in and complain but for how long we waited this was unacceptable. the worker inside said unfortunately we could not attach it so it was just left loose. my sister called them last week and they said oh we forgot to attach your letter on the outside of the cup so it'll take longer. at that point what was even the point in them saying we forgot to attach it on the outside so you'll have to wait longer. there was nothing they could do right now so we are just waiting to even see if they can do anything about this MESS. i will not be returning EVER to this location. I recommend the location in Brea. they had our items done in 7 days and everything was perfect. we also had called FIVE different times and every time they said they will call us when it is ready, which they never did. if you want to go to a good Color Me Mine go to the one in Brea. besides all of that the worker we spoke with today was very respectful though she was nice, good customer service from her. read more

Super stupid and a waste of my time and money. Called for an hour one day (during hours they were open) and no one answered or called back. I have no idea if my pieces are there or not. I came here with my friend and god daughter last week and our experience was good. The girl that attended us was friendly and she did give us clear directions. She told us where the paints were and how it all worked. It was a fun and relaxing experience. It was our first time so we weren't exactly Picasso's lol. But overall good time. The only thing I didn't like was all the cracks on my heart box when I picked it up. Idk what their process is to glaze but it completely ruined the bottom of my ceramic piece. I'm giving 2 stars just because the employees were very friendly when I took my daughter in. Other than that, I paid for 2 pcs, it was very expensive. I was never informed by the employees that I just needed to keep calling back or coming by to check on when my order would be done. Having not heard from them I put it out of my mind until recently. I called back only to be told they don't call customers, or email, or text when orders are ready. We just have to GUESS completion date and show up for pick up. In the meantime they only hold the items you've PAID for for 30 days before chucking them in the trash. Now I have to explain to my kid that her artwork she spent so much time on is in a garbage heap somewhere. read more

It's very disappointing having paid $20 a person for mugs and they were glazed so terribly and inconsistently. I took my 2 girls for a Girl Scout trip here. After picking up our mugs there were several cracks on one mug. There was a chunk of the cup that just broke off when I touched it. And my mug had a really sharp piece on the mouth area. I'm crafty. I'm always down. Down to paint that is. I have lived in Whittier for almost a decade, and FINALLY tried the small Color Me Mine on Greenleaf. My niece and mom decided to make an afternoon out of grabbing a few ceramics and painting them with our own personal flare. The staff was very nice and let us do our thing with the variety of plates and paints available. It does take a week or so to pick up the goods, but you can't beat the location and pricing. I will never come here again. It started as a pleasant evening; the cost is on the high side. When I go to pick up my item its damaged. They offer a 25% discount for MY NEXT VISIT, but I paid for an undamaged item? All I was told is that it happens. Great Place to come and paint little clay sculptures! You choose what you want, you paint it, and then you give it to the staff, they Glaze and Fire it, and one week later it's done! +Great staff! But, I was there now and the door was locked. So, we tried calling but nobody picked up and their mailbox was full. Lights were off, and looked like nobody was there. It closes at 7:00 pm but we arrived at 1:20 pm... hmmm... not only that but they didn't even leave a sign on the door saying that they were gone. Very inconvenient.
