My son loves attending CCT. He enjoys the challenging material and the fun atmosphere. He never wants to miss a class.

But more than once they've come to the fishing lake instead of the recreation lake and bring with them a dozen screaming out of control kids. The first time I ran into them I got onto the fishing lake and all was quiet. They came later and all got in and proceeded to run right over where I was casting. One of them even bumped into me without any apology. The whole lake and they picked the one spot I was fishing in. Today there's 14 kids and adults out running amok and screaming across the lake. I'm not sure if the staff realizes that there's a whole lake dedicated to kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and NOT fishing. In the same park. One where you can scream as loud as you want and not bother fishermen. The fishing lake is supposed to be for people to enjoy fishing. If I see these guys on the water, I just turn around and go home or don't even bother fishing. Such a nuisance. Sorry for the one star review. The camp experience is probably great. But you guys are irritating a lot of people out here.

I don't know many businesses that consistently strive for excellence like Avid4 Adventure. I completely trust the instructors and know that my kids are very safe and well cared for! Special kudos to Moose, Heather, Allison and Ian. You guys rock!!!!

The facility has…read moreexpanded during my years in Colorado from a small cabin near the Buchanan Park Recreation Center to the repurposed church that is its current location. The Phase II expansion completed in June 2024 has greatly enlarged the facility with community spaces, classrooms, artist studios, an artist-in-residence program, and a state-of-the-art ceramics studio. CAE sees its mission as a community hub, hosting ten annual art exhibits, a wide variety of children's and adult classes and workshops, summer camps, and mentorships. There is also a concert series, community rental spaces, arts festivals, an elegant gift shop showcasing local artists, and many community outreach initiatives. I visit the gallery when I come to Evergreen. It is a nice exhibit space and has presented many interesting shows over the years, featuring material of local, regional, and national scope.

I dropped in just before Christmas to find that they still have my work, unfused and sitting there still. Okay - the holidays, a power outage. So I phoned after the new year, no answer, so I left a message asking what's going on? Nothing. I'm considering asking for my $158 back. In the age of phones, texts and emails, there's no excuse for this lack of communication on their part. I am one unhappy camper. Done in three or four days, she said. Should have been weeks.

We both have experience with this company from rafting the Upper Salt River in AZ. Unfortunately the water levels didn't cooperate but, the rafting company modified the itinerary to give us the best possible adventure possible. Day upper upper Browns Canyon which led to class I've and the use of duckies. Operation am not a fan but, half of our group loved them. We were then driven 1.5 hours away for our dinner and tent camping (3 miles from our put in). Ryan and Eric our guides cooked a great meal and catered to the group. We awakened to a mist and heavy fog, which we were served pancakes and sausages for a warm breakfast, and let's not forget hot coffee. We then departed at 8:30 for our trip down the Royal Gorge were we hit class in rapids, lots of class 3s, great geology, good company, lots of fun and a great experience. Ryan our lead guide and Eric did a great job for 2 days of providing us a great experience and memories. You have many choices but from a personal experience this is the best company to deal with. We are already planning next year's multi day trip.

No integrity and no remorse for ruining our trip. Fast forward, we found an amazing company that agreed to work us in the same day and, after speaking to several people in the area, it is well known that Wilderness Aware Rafting has less experienced guides and get stuck in the river holding up "traffic" most days. Literally no one locally has anything nice to say. In hindsight, I am glad we didn't go with them.

The main parking lot was full when we arrived, but the overflow parking was surprisingly easy. There was someone at the entrance directing cars, handing out the shuttle address, and answering questions. The free shuttle arrived within minutes, had air conditioning, and dropped us off right at the lake. The atmosphere is what makes this place special. It's clean, family-friendly, and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. You can bring your own kayak, paddleboard, canoe, or other non-motorized watercraft, or rent one there. Life jackets are required and rentals have time limits, but everything was well organized. The water was a little browner than I expected, with some natural tree limbs and debris floating around, and swimming isn't allowed. That said, it didn't take away from the experience. Most people were fishing, paddling around with friends, or simply floating and soaking in the views. If you're looking for a peaceful way to spend an afternoon outdoors, this is a great spot. I had a really good time and will definitely be back.
