Requests for access/retrieval of records/images (Optomap) were not user-friendly (despite techno-skills)...actually the process was a bit convoluted. Based on past reviews (summarized below)...it appears that not much has changed - especially with those critical core values that directly impact the patient and their relationship with the practice.... June 4, 2024 - "...office has become increasingly difficult to deal with." Nov 23, 2022 - "Crabby, unhappy employees." Jun 18, 2011 - "...the staff preferred to talk amongst themselves, joking around, complaining and just ignoring...customer." "...what is up with the snottiness and unfriendly vibe?" Apr 15, 2018 - "There is clearly a customer service problem going on here...condescending and rude...At Envision, the customer is never, ever right." Despite the decent experience with EnVision's professional folks (likely a 4 star) - and a desire to ensure myself and others be treated in an overall respectful, appreciated way (afterall, patients are the primary reason for their existence) I would be...and am...reluctant to refer...and, therefore, subject others...to the office "atmosphere" described both now and in the past (clearly a -0 star).

I can't say enough positive things about my experience with The Envision Clinic and Dr. Israelson…read more A few years ago, I had LASIK surgery, and since then, my vision has been pretty good. I hadn't been to an optometrist in years because I didn't feel the need. That all changed one morning when I woke up with an intense case of pink eye. The Envision Clinic was able to get me in so quickly, and Dr. Israelson was incredible. She was kind, knowledgeable, and supportive, instantly putting me at ease. She prescribed treatment that worked immediately, and during our conversation, she took the time to discuss how eye health can often reveal other potential medical issues, including signs of a brain cancer recurrence--something that resonated with me deeply, as I'm a brain cancer survivor. A few weeks later, once my eye had healed, I returned for a comprehensive eye exam. I've never had such a thorough and thoughtful evaluation in my life! Dr. Israelson's attention to detail was unmatched. Although The Envision Clinic doesn't accept insurance, their pricing is very reasonable, and the quality of care is worth every penny. Dr. Israelson identified a slight astigmatism in my left eye and some mild degeneration in my LASIK correction. She explained everything clearly and practically, helping me understand why LASIK wouldn't be a good option for me again and recommending glasses specifically for driving and nighttime use to reduce glare. Her advice was incredibly practical and tailored to my unique needs, especially as someone with a complex medical history. The clinic itself is top-notch. It's clear they invest heavily in advanced equipment, staff training, and staying up-to-date with the latest research. They also have an impressive selection of frames--from trendy and fashionable to truly unique designs. Although I'm moving from Boulder to Denver soon, I'll happily make the drive back to see Dr. Israelson. She's one of the most compassionate and competent medical professionals I've ever encountered--and I've worked with many doctors over the years. If you're looking for exceptional care, practical insights, and a personalized experience, I can't recommend The Envision Clinic and Dr. Israelson enough.

Though we could not fix my expensive Silhouette frames due to the risk of making them worse, Sara brought them to the back to try and also checked to see if they had an extra temple they could replace it with. Being an out of towner I was not sure what to expect and I can tell you that the service was exceptional, friendly and professional. We had the frames wearable until I was able to get back home to order the new temple. If I was in Boulder long enough, they would have done it for me there, but this happened on my last day in Boulder before heading into the mountains.

I can't remember where or how I first came across silhouette brand glasses frames, but I fell in…read morelove. While they offer a variety of styles, my favorites are the frameless with titanium sides. These are comfortable, diminutive, and stand up to accidents like sitting on them (they bend but do not break). They also are pricey. I had a pair a couple of years ago, and when my prescription changed, I decided to go to Costco and find some attractive frames for a good price. The problem is that these more traditional frames BOTHER me EVERY DAY. Plastic gathers sweat and grime at the nose. Metal is particularly rigid and more uncomfortable. I can see the edges of the frames in my view, which doesn't really impact my vision so much, but it makes the world less real. So, when I finally had the opportunity to get another new set of glasses with a new prescription, I went on the hunt for Silhouettes. It is not easy to find a place that deals with Silhouettes, but I knew that Aspen Eyewear sold them. As it is difficult to comparison shop eyeglasses, or even shop around, really, I noted the expected high price of a frame I liked at Aspen, enlisted the help of a knowledgeable assistant, and decided on a gorgeous frame. When we sat down to pull together the necessary additions--anti-glare, anti-scratch, transitions, etc., they put a quote in front of me. More than double the high cost of the frame! Yes, I did a double-take, my jaw dropped, I took a large GULP. I guess he could read my reaction, because the assistant asked if that price was OK, and if not, maybe we could consider dropping some of the add-ons. I asked him if there were any silhouettes on the clearance table, or if they ever go on sale, and the answer was "no". I know what I want, and this is apparently what it costs, so on we went with the purchase. After reading Aspen Eyewear's Yelp reviews, where many talk about their high cost, I started to wonder if it would have been worth my time to comparison shop the one other place nearby that I found that carries Silhouettes. But, you know what? This frame is an expensive frame. The lenses are definitely quality lenses, and I've been wearing the glasses now for two months, and I LOVE them. I got what I wanted, and I'm happy I did it. The people that helped me at Aspen Eyewear were very nice. They were knowledgable about the product(s) and how they fit different people, spent the time with me that was necessary, and no inappropriately long wait times. My only suggestion is that they provide a bit more detail with regard to glasses care when you pick up your purchase from them. I think there are some special instructions and care required for Silhouettes, which I kind of expected them to go through with me. Also, how do I get a lens completely shiny new clean? I have always struggled with this, and I found some Zeiss lens cleaners that I thought must be perfect, given that Zeiss is a prominent lens maker for premium products. Upon further research, it seems that they have alcohol in them which can damage the coatings I paid so much money for on these lenses. Also, I have no warranty information, although one associate mentioned to me in passing something about a 60-day lens replacement (I think). I have no documentation of this, and nothing is mentioned online, so if I damage my lenses in the first 60 days, due to ignorance, do I have the opportunity to try again? I don't know. Conclusion: Aspen Eyewear is not the budget eyeglass vendor, but they do offer a premium product with premium lines that are difficult to find elsewhere. If you want a premium eyeglasses product, Aspen Eyewear is worth a visit.

Last week I dropped in with my goggles as I'd had some issues with the lenses over this past winter. To be honest I hadn't done the best job keeping them safe while commuting to/from the mountain so the lenses had started to pop out every now and then. Apparently my #1 ski buddy did too good of a job popping the lenses back in at the end of last season as the staffers couldn't find a single thing wrong with them. Thankfully I had dropped in because Zeal was running 50% off of many awesome goggles. The staff shared which was their fave (of the sale goggles), I snagged a pair that caught my eye and the trying on began. I settled on a pair with a flashy purple band and sashayed on up to the register. It must have been my lucky day as the goggles also came with an alternate lens. I was thankful to be told the options along with what each alternate lens would best be used for. I settled on a pair for those snowy low visibility days. Score! Took my new goggles out for a spin the following day and am happy to report that they certainly delivered (and I looked pretty cool too)!

I wear them all the time for good eye protection outdoors. The sunglasses do a good job of not muting or changing colors too much outdoors and the polarization is good at looking at water. I love the ski goggles I got here as well! The lenses automatically change colors depending on the outdoor conditions and are amazing quality. My mom recently accidentally broke a really old pair from here and they replaced them for free with a new model because they don't sell the ones she had anymore. The service is awesome and I wouldn't buy sporty eyewear from anywhere else.

I tried several more times to reach the store by phone and there was never an answer. Towards the end of the day I contacted another LensCrafters and explained that I couldn't reach anyone at the Boulder location. A very nice person there said they would reach out to the Boulder store and have them get in touch with me. I never heard anything back. On July 16th I attempted to contact the store and had the same results. No answer. I asked others to call the store and see if they could get any answers with the same result. On July 17th I received a text message saying my glasses were in. We arrived at the location and Christian began to help us. I told him I was concerned that their phones may not be working. He said they were fine. I explained that we had tried to contact the store and he explained that they were short staffed. I asked where one of their regular employees was and he said they were not with them any more. He explained it was LensCrafters choice to part ways with him. I was surprised that he shared that employees employment decision with me. I expressed my concern that customers could not reach the store by phone and suggested that they could call customers back when it was slower. He quickly dismissed that and said we don't have time. I asked if I could speak to the Regional Manager (Jessica) and he said that I would not be able to. I asked if he could give her my contact information so she could call me and he said he would not do that. I explained that his corporate owners (Essilor Luxottica) would not be pleased with his handling of customer concerns. He said he doesn't work for them. I then asked for and received a refund. He threw the glasses case into the trash. This was among the worst examples of customer service that I have ever witnessed or experienced. We went to Warby Parker, purchased two pairs of glasses and had fantastic customer service. The difference between the two businesses was night and day. I hope that this is isolated at LensCrafters and that Christian was perhaps just simply having a bad week. If you want a pleasant, friendly and fun experience go to Warby Parker. It's a short walk from this LensCrafters. If you want a frustratingly rude experience LensCrafters Boulder will give you that.
