I can not stress enough to GO ELSEWHERE!! The owner Dr. Wren is not cordial or personable & lacks people skills and adequate customer service. In 2021 it took this business 10 months to get my eyeglasses yes TEN months!! It also took that long for them to get my mother's eyeglasses as well!!! We had numerous problems, mistakes and just plain incompetency. I finally got my glasses in October 2021 - there was a discussion about a monetary discount and Dr. Wren wound up offering me 50% off of future lenses. We visited this year (12/2022) & inquired about my 'compensation' only to find out that it expired a month after it was given; November 2021. I certainly wasn't going to need glasses in one month! Therefore I asked if we could use the discount for this visit/year & reluctantly he finally agreed (this was all over the phone via the manager, he was not in that day) however it turned out that our insurance doesn't allow us to get lenses without frames plus it was cheaper through the insurance vs. his discount. Therefore I later emailed the Dr./owner explaining what the circumstances were with not being able to use the discount and reiterated what we went through in 2021. I had asked if he could compensate us in a different manner, perhaps discount our bill from the new eyeglasses my husband & I just bought during this visit. A few days later we received an email stating that "due to their inability to satisfy us" they were refunding our money in full and he wouldn't provide services to us in the future. Whaaaaat?? So we go through TEN months of waiting for eyewear with the utmost patience & at least two dozen trips back & forth and this is how the owner responds??? Unbelievable!! We are truly baffled!! So, in conclusion if you do not want to wait months on end for your eyewear and you do not want to be treated in this manner by the owner I suggest you find somewhere else to go! I gladly will take my money and business elsewhere. *Notice how 'pleasant' Dr. Wren is in his response!! In fact look at how vial he is in all of his responses to the complaints! In addition these are the 'facts' and they did NOT discount anything last year (we still have our receipt) what an outright blatant lie! WOW!! Update: 1/13/23 we went to Vista eye care in Thornton and they were AMAZING!! I got my eye glasses perfectly made on the first try!! This should be the norm! The owner is great and Ally is the BEST! Unbelievable. I started my "process" of trying to get contacts from this chain back in Early September. It is now late December. They are impossible to get ahold of, disorganized, and unprofessional. Their office at Happy Canyon was never open when they said they would be and never answered their phone. I finally had to go up to the Broomfield office. I was told to email them to confirm the prescription, but they have no email that works. Did I mention they don't call you back and that's the only way to get in touch? Terrible. If most places are a 5 out of 10, these guys are a negative zero. read more

After a loyal patient for several years, I have also experienced price gouging and very disrespectful desk staff (They actually referred me to Target if I wanted less expensive service). I had been going to a privately owned optometrist before it was purchased, and now it's run as a corporation and they are more concerned about money than patient care. read more

My wife and I have been going to The Eye Gallery for about 8 years. This little shop, tucked inside of Flatirons Mall, must be one of the best locations for all things eye-related in Denver. The staff has been consistent for years. They always have the latest and coolest frames. They're willing to spend as much time as necessary to get you exactly what you're looking for (I think once my wife had about 30 frames on the counter before she made a decision). One of the most amazing things about The Eye Gallery is that they remember us! Although we only go in a few times a year and they must see hundreds of people every day, they remember us and have even remembered our names in the past. It's just like Norm in "Cheers" (without the beer). We are so glad that The Eye Gallery has been able to hold on and stay in Flatirons even though it seems like every other shop that's not a chain has disappeared from that mall. If you live anywhere near Flatirons Mall and need a new optometrist, support local business and head over to The Eye Gallery! read more

Getting new eye glasses is as stressful as buying a new car to me(not really, but you get the point). It had been maybe 4-5 years so all I wanted was to make this process as quick and painless as possible. I have VSP insurance and I found Colorado Eye Gallery after calling around. They are located in the mall and you'll notice it can get tight in there on the weekends as it isn't very big. When I walked in, I was greeted and was asked a few questions before the employee started to show me some frames. One downfall of this place was that they didn't carry the brands that I wanted to see like Coach and Tory Burch. I went to do my research at LensCrafters to try on brand name frames and didn't find what I liked. This is how I found out that Colorado Eye Gallery's not-so-famous brand frames were the same as the aforementioned brands. After trying on about 20 pairs, I finally found the one that I really liked. This time, I sat down with the store manager who was very efficient with the ordering process. My eyes are pretty bad and when I told him I didn't want to have 'googly' eyes, he assured me that the lenses will be thin(of course there is an upcharge for this option). This is where Colorado Eye Gallery gets their fifth star! When I asked him how long it'll take for the glasses to be delivered, I was told 10-14 days. I also inquired if there is any way that we can expedite the process. They called VSP and told them to have them get started on it right away. Exactly a week later, I called to see if my glasses have arrived and it did indeed! I went in and they had me try it on so they could adjust it to fit my face better. The lenses were very thin and I was super impressed. The staff was great to work with and I would recommend this place in a heart beat. read more

I used to love this place until Marcella left! She is absolutely a doll. Anyhow, once I found out she went to 3 D Vision - I quickly took the family (all 5) and purchased new glasses for hubby since the staff is rude and the owners are just rude at the eye gallery. For example, the last time we were in eye gallery the owners had a party for their children's party during store hours and made it nearly impossible for the customers to walk freely. I had an excellent experience here! I decided to try Eye Gallery at their new location, and it's a really nice office! The staff was very helpful, answered all of my questions, and they are just really nice people. All of their equipment is really new, much better than any other eye doctor I've been to. Their retinal imaging machine took an extra wide view of my retina and Dr. Wren was able to see a hole or something on the edge of my retina that none of the other eye doctors I've been to caught. He let me know what to look out for in case it gets worse, and I'm very thankful that he caught it. They had a really good selection of glasses and sunglasses, and they gave me a huge rebate on my contacts. I really can't say enough nice things about this optometrist. Wow. I never thought I could love a doctor appointment experience as much as I did when I visited the Eye Gallery. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. While waiting for my eyes to dilate, I was browsing for frames. The two front-of-the-house women came over and were my literal squad while trying on frames. I wanted something fun and funky, and we had a blast trying on all different styles. I didn't need to take awkard selfies to send to my friends, because these two girls had my back. My experience with Dr. Gurpreet was equally pleasant. She explained everything she was doing and is quite amicable. I am so thankful that I found this amazing place and am excited to continue having them as a resource! Highly recommended. read more

Horrible customer service! And they don't stand behind their products. I have been a customer here for years - have bought 2 super-expensive glasses and a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. They are really nice and helpful when you are buying a new pair of glasses, but god forbid, you have a problem with those...they take every opportunity to nickel and dime you! And their customer service sucks when you go in with a problem! My last pair of glasses were a Swissflex. Ever since I bought them, I have had issues (every 6 months, the nose bridge or the sides break off) and every time I would go there, they would charge $70 to fix. No warranty whatsoever (they never stand behind their product) and they are slow and aloof (it takes multiple calls and followups to get them to even provide an update on the repair). I won't be going back anytime soon! read more

Went to get two pairs of sunglasses fixed (that were not purchased from their store), and they did a great job, and made them like new. The customer service was great. I would definitely recommend. (I have been to other eye glass stores, and have always been turned away when I needed my glasses fixed. Like they just didn't want to be bothered, but Eye Gallery fixed them, no questions.) read more

I love this place, there is a blonde lady there and a guy named Chin (though it isn't spelled that way), they are amazing! They will help you pick the perfect frames, they don't hesitate to tell you that a certain frame isn't really right for you. They will help you sort through every single frame if you want, until you find the right one for your face, or one that you just really love. read more

They save my life again. I broke my glasses and they were more then happy to fix them. I would use them for whatever I needed ever!

The only thing I can say that is positive about this place was the doctor was nice and I got my glasses pretty quickly. The staff is lacking in many aspects. The guy that rang me up was obviously new and took close to 45 min for min to get my bill right. He then checked with some manager to make sure it was done correctly. Standing in front of me, she glanced at the paper and said it was right and I paid and left. I got a call from the same guy about a week later saying I owed them $100 and could not pick up my contacts until I paid it...even though 2 people verified I was supposedly charged correctly. The whole reason I was not too upset was the $200 rebate I was promised from buying a year supply of contacts. Well just went to redeem my rebate to find out I can only receive it in store gift cards which is definitely not the impression the ENTIRE staff gave me when I was spending $500 with them. The only solution they provided was for them to call the vendor and get a Visa sent to them for me to come back in and pick up at a later time cause why make anything convenient for their patients. Guess I've got xmas presents for this year but that $200 I was expecting to get back would have been much nicer. I will definitely not be coming back to this place and making sure to keep all of my other friends away from here. Do your own research instead of trusting the staff at this place. I came here for my eye exams and contact lens fittings in the past three years and was happy with the service. The glasses were expensive but I liked the varieties the store carried. However, I ran into an issue trying to refill my contact lens prescription this month (the prescription was written in January when I got my eye exam) . I ordered contact lens online at a lens seller (not this store), and got an email in a couple of days that the prescription was still valid but I was limited to one box per eye. I canceled the order since it didn't make sense to only order a month and half supply. I called the store and was told that the reason I couldn't refill for more lens was due to the fact that my prescription expires in January, and I need to get another exam instead of refill another year of lens. I told the store that I was trying to use the leftover flexible spending balance, and they suggested me to come in a refit my glasses or get prescription sunglasses instead. I was planning to get my eye exam in January when my insurance coverage renews, so I didn't want to waste extra money on the exam this year, neither do I need new glasses. This is the first time I ran into issue trying to order another refill before year-end ,and I Googled for specific state law that limits refills but came up with nothing. I like the location of this store close to my work and everyone works there was super nice, but I just can't get comfortable with being limited on the refill, especially this was the major way for me to use up the leftover FSA (my prescription don't change every year). I plan to go to a different place in January and ask the question up front to avoid the issue next year. read more

My husband and I have been going to the eye gallery for years for rountine eye exams and would buy sunglasses and eye glass frames there because of the nice variety to select from. We have not had any problems until recently. The prescriptions are off, they charge for each and every test, rather than bundling insurance codes, which results in a high cost for exams. AND the lab they use does poor quality work. I can not recommend this place to anybody. My most recent experience revolved around buying new sunglasses frames with prescription lenses and after having been sent back three times to the lab they are still unusable. Everybody is very friendly while you are spending money, but if there are problems you will not be helped. This is a mall store. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable optometrist. read more

Several times my wife and I have had trouble with our glasses - always our fault - but the people at the eye gallery were quick to help get them fixed or replaced. DO NOT GO HERE - not even if you're going blind. I had gone to this place for years and then I went last summer and it was an entirely new group. They are rude and imcompetant. I didn't pick up my contacts right away and they returned them. When I asked them to refund my benefits with my insurance company for the cost of the contacts that they returned, they refused. I had to take up this issue with my insurance company who then took back their paid benefits to the Eye Gallery. Then out of spite, they "lost" my contact fitting information when I tried to order from 1-800-contacts. These people should worry less about what clothes their wearing and how their hair looks and more about their business and patients. read more

Horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE. This place will take you for every penny they can get. I had went there for three years plus...the prices for my daughter and my contacts were getting so expensive this year I did the exam with them which I called and verified was $79. They charged the insurance double that amount plus a bunch of other fees for services not even provided. We decided to shop around for the contacts themselves. Finding they are half the prices at several other providers. At one of the providers he was going to need my daughters perscription for glasses. I guess the privacy act is not something the eye galley has ever heard of. They released personal and financial information he was not even asking for. He was a ex employee of the eye gallery....he was happy to warn me that the inaccurate insurance claims and taking the customer for every penny possible is a regular practice there. He said the dr wife shows up in sweats and goes over every bills adding charges. Please shop around and avoid this place at all costs...truelly at all COSTS. Over charging at least you would think she would have money for better clothes :/. Oh the positive reviews are fake mostly employees. read more

I have purchased two pairs of glasses from this shop. They are always friendly and helpful. My most recent pair was a special order that I ordered about a month in advance of trip I wanted to have them for. It was supposed to take 7-10 days for the frames to come in and 7-10 days to do the lenses. I figured I had plenty of time. It would have been perfect except the folks and VSP were unable to pass one of my lenses and therefore had to redo them. The helpful folks at the shop told the lab to sprinkle some hustle on that coating so I could have them on time. Long story short, they were delivered the day after I left. As far as I know this was entirely out of their control. However, when I went to pick them up and pay the remaining balance it appeared that it had been already covered. was not real happy with the customer service at this location. I chose to go there because I had VSP insurance. The staff was rude and pretentious. One of the lady's actually started arguing with my wife about our insurance covering a second pair of glasses with another deductible of $25. We had just bought glasses for our son two months earlier and we knew for a fact that we had this coverage. Finally the lady looked it up in the computer and said that it didn't say either way and she would have to call VSP to confirm. She never followed up with us about this. This is a higher end place for frames and they definitely make their money on these frames. I price checked after the fact and they charged $70 over the average price I found online. My insurance covers frames up to $150, which I think is pretty great. But by them marking up a $150 frame to $220 I had to pay $70 out of pocket. This is the last time I will cross the threshold to their store EVER again!!! read more

I used to use this place with great satisfaction, but since they made stuff changes or whatever else everything went downhill. I tried to make a new pair of glasses with the same prescription. Everything that could be done wrong was wrong. Prescription, lenses customer care, and the worst thing is that they lie to you. I liked coming to this store and even got a recommendation for lasik from here. However, after I got my LASIK surgery my experience with this place just went downhill. The place I got my LASIK done at wanted me to keep coming back here for checkups every few weeks and then every few months after that. After the first few weeks, I tried to schedule a checkup for a few months later and they told me I couldn't, but that they would mark it down and call me when I was able to make an appt. That didn't happen, and so I missed the window of checkups I was supposed to keep up and didn't catch it until a few months later (I'd undergone a major surgery after my LASIK so these appts were the last thing on my mind honestly). They don't even tell you when you're due for your yearly checkup. This place has gone downhill in my opinion, I'm not sure if I'll return this year. read more

I would recommend staying away from this location!! I ordered a pair of glasses, for quite a bit of money, and even week when I call they still cannot tell me when the glasses will be in. However, when I purchased them, they told me they would be in in 10 days?! I think not. They could careless if I refund them, and they don't offer any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. I really liked the frames, but their lack of customer service is quite appalling. The Target Optical can get me glasses within 4 days for half the price. If I do wait for the glasses, this will be the last time I EVER use this facility. Not to mention, they are extremely over priced and not very upfront with their customers. read more

Ever since Marcella left, this company has flushed its customer service standards down the toilet! That is being polite as I recently went to see Dr. Albert (she was great btw) - but the sales representative who I gave personal instruction to get my contact lens prescription from a previous DR so I could purchase a new pair of sunglasses ( the last time I purchased Jim Maui's in 2012 from this company ) - I paid a very handsome penny.... The point being is i was ready to buy glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses: it was the perfect deal to close for a nearly perfect sale, but no answer nor phone call did I receive from the sales representative! They just dropped the ball and showed absolutely no interest in selling me items that would eventually cost me nearly $1,000.00 at 20/20 Eye Venue ( Marcella's new place )! Needless to say, I will never stray from Marcella again as her staff closed the deal perfectly....... read more
