Nice, helpful staff. Fair prices. Wish they had drawers with more inventory. They clean each pair after you try them on. I like that!

I've asked if they're able to compare my current glasses to the new RX to see if I truly need to spend the hundreds of dollars for two new pairs. The person who answers emails - their Lead Patient Coordinator - only answers with "please see attached" and has yet to reply or give any info re: my actual questions, she just keeps sending the RX sheet. I'm not an ophthalmologist, clearly, and don't know how to read those prescriptions and so am kind of stuck. I had a great exam but am not able to move forward to get the glasses that I need - so a total waste of both time and money to go to this practice.

At this facility alone, I've seen three different Opthamologists. Every single one has been brilliantly versed in their eye care knowledge. We've had very thorough examinations and my countless questions have always been answered with kindness and a detailed explanation. The front office and glassware staff are equally as great at their roles! We've never had an issue getting an appointment -- even an emergency appointment. My husband and I agree, it's always one of the most enjoyable doctor visits!

Adding my name to the hat of excellent experiences. They call themselves the Eye Doctors of…read moreLouisville, and in my experience, they've earned the name. While there may be other providers in town, this team sets the standard for care, clarity, and community connection. Tucked away on Hecla, the Harris docs are youthful, highly competent, and experienced professionals who are enthusiastic about eye care. And they don't miss a beat. It is a breath of fresh air coming from being treated like a number, as a case study for a clumsy intern, or from a jaded doc who barely says a word to educate you, or with whom you must ask 20-questions, before sending you out the door with a big bill. They are collaborative, straightforward, and want you to know what's going on with your eyes, what they will be monitoring, and how your family history may affect you. No surprises. Their bedside is excellent. Additionally, they have paired up with excellent craftsman-opticians to hand-cut, assemble, and adjust your eyewear to custom fit you via their in-house lab. Seth took care of me. He is a master optician and a consummate yet down-to-earth professional who knows his trade. So, you can say goodbye to cheap eyeglasses arriving surreptitiously on your doorstep from the internet. They might do for backups -- but once you've worn eyewear crafted here by these folks, you won't want to go back. I discovered that they do a lot of local outreach and are in touch with both the needs and resources of the community. I hit a rough patch, and they were willing to work with me to restore my vision. You simply can't find that level of care and compassion at a corporate chain like Costco or Pearl Vision, where you're treated as just another customer. Nor at high-turnover practices where providers constantly change or the focus is on volume over care (such as I found at Boulder Eye Surgeons). If you ask me, this level of care and attention is what's needed to balance our backwards healthcare system that treats eyes as luxury organs (and teeth as luxury bones). All that is left to say is that this office and all its staff are quality, hardworking folks who care about doing a good job and genuinely appreciate the people and community they serve. They do not skimp on patient care and satisfaction, no matter your condition. If you have ever felt like just a number or in the dark about what's going on with your vision, then "look" no further than Eye Doctors of Louisville. They work hard because they know you do, too.

The exam was thorough, Dr. Goshinska is awesome and explained every test that she conducted. After a thorough evaluation, she made my prescription recommendations and gave me two options (a progressive lens, or just an update to my current prescription.) As I am starting to have trouble seeing things up-close too, I chose the progressive. I did not purchase new frames here; I kept my originals. The next step in the process is that they take measurements of your line of vision and eye, so that they know how to build the lenses. The optometrist who did this was also awesome. Fun to talk to. Next, they order the new lenses and they take about a week to come in. I did not have to leave my glasses there. Instead, they called me to let me know when the lenses were ready, so I dropped off my frames to have the new lenses put in. This is the awesome part! I dropped them off on a Friday eve so that I would be without my glasses for a minimal number of my work days. (I use them for the computer.) Imagine my pleasant surprise when I found that the glasses would be turned around for me by Saturday! I picked them up the NEXT DAY less than 24hrs later! I had a terrible experience with Visionworks Lakewood where it took over a week so i was gun shy... but this was amazing. The exam was $49 with my insurance and my new lenses around $400. (Again, did not purchase new frames.) They do charge you $45 for using your own glasses which is lame, but what can I do. I had a great experience and I will be back in a year!
