The $200 gas card is not possible to get within the 240 days they tell you that you have. 4 receipts, 60 days apart is 240 days alone. Not to mention the mail time, date of issue, etc. Can you say class action lawsuit? Only if you can somehow send in the confirmation, get 4 receipts dated 60 days apart (thats 240 days there!) and mailed back through hyperspace. The tablet is a joke. It is cheaper than anything I have ever seen and broke within a week. The salesmen are RUDE when they realize you are not going to purchase anything. Rude to the point where we were told we didn't make enough time for our family and travel. He also stood up and walked out without a goodbye. My husband and I have been HOUNDED by calls for the past 9 months. I have told them to stop calling both of us numerous times, but to no avail. Calls at least 2 times daily. We got a three day pass to park our RV and experience K Q Ranch in Julián. Our sales rep was Josh. Josh was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. He never pressured us to buy anything. It was a nice change from pressuring timeshare experiences we've had in the past. It was a friendly approach and we walked out of there with gifts that were given upfront and feeling like this would have been a good buy if only we had more time to enjoy what the program offered. read more

My wife and I enjoyed our recent stay at Colorado River Adventures. We were given a tour by a wonderful sales lady named Sierra Beaver. She was very informative, and never pressured us for the sale. All the employees were friendly and treated us like family. The pull through 50amp sites were large and easy to access. We enjoyed the pool areas, the outdoor bar and grill was great, and the miniature Golf course was fun. The view of the river from the, easy to access, shoreline was beautiful. read more

Worst customer service, reservation people are rude and there is no accountability. I've been a member since 2007 I have never received a cancellation code. All of a sudden I get a bill and find out my reservation was never canceled. Today I go in to discuss the issue along with the terrible customer service. The woman who comes out to discuss the issue is equally rude and aggressively so, now we know why the people on the phone are rude. Must be their training! Don't join and pay a lot of money for your membership!!! If you think you have any recourse. You don't! My lawyer is looking into this company, apparently Debbie is the Secretary that was not there today to talk to, did get her email, not holding my breath on receiving a response. Contacted one of the owners and his response is he is a silent partner/owner and referred us back to the office in Earp, emerald cove. Monday through Thursday, 4 nights at a time and only at the place you checked out. $200 "gas card"? Only if Frodo can travel to mordor and back with gas receipts separated by 60 days and magically get it delivered by 240 days from issue date. #hyperloop $300 tablet? I think they meant Pesos. This tablet is China's shame. I mean even the child labor was docked a bowl of rice for making this POS. Can you say shame on your entire family? #sepukku (yes I know it's Japanese). THINK ABOUT IT. Just now having time to post about our experience at Emerald Cove Resort on (California side) in Parker, AZ. We met up with a wonderful rep named Sierra Beaver who discussed every packaged deal & made everything sound so wonderful however, it is not in our current plans. Maybe in the future. We did wish there was a separate pool area for us older "kids" of 50+ so we could relax and lounge. Pool area was way to crowded. We wish there were more spots with 50 amps by the water. We had to move from original location due to the amp issue. There was not any phone or TV services which is nice to some point but, would like to have options for those amenities. (especially in case of emergencies). The palm trees could have been trimmed and manicured as curb appeal is so important especially since there are separate association fees. The personnel were all very nice and the food was good! We would love to take time & have another experience as more time should be given to consider all cost involved. We somehow received a very nice flyer showing a well taken care of campground, I've seen the sign of the I 10 ,the sign says Camp for ten dollars a night, always wondered how they could do that, we took a quick tour before we went to the office we got close enough to the sign and the lower corner of the sign in small print, that you can't see from the freeway says "you must take a tour" ,this place is a dump, there is no way we would stay here, looks like it maybe a section 8 rental deal, not a great place to stay. read more

We've purchased 2 travel trailers and both times were given "free" camping stays at Colorado River Adventures. Both times, we got calls hounding us to schedule our stay at one of their resorts. They told us we had 30 days to book our stay and I told the guy the second time around that we weren't interested due to the reviews. He told me that the negative reviews were because people are just mad because they didn't get to stay at the resorts because they didn't sign up. Really!??!?!? Emerald cove is really nice. My husband and I went for a free trip over the President 's Day Holiday weekend and really enjoyed it. We decided to purchase the membership. It has everything we need. Waterfront camping spots with full hook ups, boat launch ramp, tiki bar, kids play ground, bathrooms with showers, laundy rooms, miniature golf and much more. The only downside is the WiFi is not very good. We are excited and looking forward to many fun adventures for the years to come. read more

The Park and staff is rated 4 stars, but In October last year I was in the Parker Az area and stayed in several RV Parks. I would find them using Google Maps. One day I found the Emerald Cove Rv Park. They did not have prices on there web page, so I called them and left a message. Colorado River Adventures (CRA) called me back the next day. I ask for the rates for Emerald Cove and they told me it was a private RV park and asked me if I would like to come for a few days for free and all I had to do is listen to a 90 min presentation. So I said that sounds great. I stayed Monday through Friday and went to the presentation Wednesday morning at 9:30 am. I signed in at the front counter. They ask if my wife was coming and I said that I am traveling alone and my wife was working and she is meeting me in Palm Springs in 2 weeks. I sat down with a very nice lady who was from Seattle like me. After a few minutes she started the presentation, show me in several picture of all the CRA parks. I told her I had a Thousand Trails Membership and that I was happy with it and did not really need other RV membership. After I told that she said OK, enjoy your stay. The whole thing only lasted 5 minutes. In January I purchase a membership to a RV Park and was I added Resort Parks International (RPI) and Coast to Coast RV Resorts (CTC). I book 2 weeks at Emerald Cove with CTC for March 3rd through March 17th. I drove from Seattle (1500 miles) to Parker and stayed at the Blue Water RV Park for a few days. The day before I was going to Emerald Cove, I received a phone call from Emerald Cove and they told me my Reservation was cancelled because I stayed at Emerald Cove last October and went to the presentation without my wife. I told the representative that they knew that when I checked in and when I attended the presentation. I asked to speak to her supervisor and stated the same thing to her. She said I stayed for free and could not use my membership for 2 years. I told her that I did not receive the 1 year free membership and the other gifts. She was very rude and said you can not come for two years and hung up. I called back and told her I would pay $500 for the days I stayed if she could come to the park. She was very rude and said you cant come for 2 years and hung up. I purchase the RV membership just so I could go to Emerald Cove and now I have to wait for two years. read more

Almost had us purchasing, then....it started. Like so many others we purchased a new RV and were given a promotional opportunity to visit CRA. We arrived and were treated well by staff. Their store, tiki bar, pool and beaches were nice. We were surprised about the lack of 50amp service and cable services. The area was gravel lots. It didn't strike us as an RV resort as we had experienced many RV resorts over the last 20 years of RVing. This was more of a water sports RV camp. But they offered many more Parks around the country. Our required visit with the sales staff was low pressure, informative, and he answered questions, and told us about additional yearly fees, extended stay fees and a seven day waiting period before we could change parks. No moving from park to park without a 7day absence. We were definitely interested until we told him we would drive upriver and look at their other parks during our stay. We wanted to see what else was possible besides Emerald Cove. Then things went down hill for us. All deals were off if we left the room. We couldn't get such an offer for two more years. Typical hard sell tactics. They missed a probable sale by not giving us a reasonable time to inspect other parks in their system. The salesman was firm on this. Now or never. WTF? We passed. The stay given was enjoyable. This park was average and needs some updating. We appreciated the opportunity. Now or never sales are a problem in my experience. It would be nice if a buyer had some time to fully evaluate what CRA is selling. read more

I purchased a new RV, and was given a CRA promotion package. I did make reservations, at Emerald Cove. When I arrived, after a 7 hour drive I had several questions, when entering the property. The gate attendant was not helpful, and in my opinion rude. We left & spent the night in a Walmart parking lot. CRV phone team called us & acted like they were shocked. They said the gate attendant would be fired. They asked for a 2nd second change. I was told I would be treated with respect. WRONG When we arrived, the second time. I was met with the same attendant, that I was told was fired. He was not rude or friendly, nor did he provide the list of events. We arrived at our so called tour. The sale rep was condescending. Early into the meeting, she asked if we were going to buy the membership, today. I said no. She asked additional inappropriate questions. She did not answer questions I had. The meeting ending quickly. I was promised the same gifts to come back again prior to the 2nd trip, as if we bought that day. This would include a check for $200 reimbursement for fuel. This did not happen. The sales rep, stated the phone team at CRA makes promises they cannot keep. When we returned home, I did call the phone sales team. I was hung up on, i was hoping the call was dropped therefore I called back and left a message this was over a week ago, no returned call. The property is in need of updating. On a positive note. It seems that no matter how many times I repost Colorado River Adventures Review it has been removed. This review are my personal experience's and observation's that I have had happen to me through Colorado River Adventures. One would say walk away or sell but that's out of the question as of all the monies that have been invested in things bought. So here it is again; What's Up Yelp. Review has been removed from page 10 times. Have to keep reposting. CRA only gets a One star as there is nothing for ZERO stars. As a member for over 22 years at the beginning it was good not great but good and now each year it's getting worse. To begin with we have never been able to get a trailer, cabin or cottage when we have wanted to go to KQ Ranch or Emerald Cove due to CRA being so oversold and the constance changing of reservation rules and not to mention the preferential treatment to those in the know. We have gone in our RV after asking for a Cottage, Cabin or Trailer at KQ or Emerald Cove and have seen empty units for our entire stay. Family members on my contract have called and the same thing has happened to them. KQ is so run down that  you can clearly see how run-down Cabins and Trailers are with torn and missing screens, torn curtain's, worn-out furniture, dry-rot siding, falling apart decks, ply-wood patches on cabins and trailers, AC window mounts as central ACH-unites are broken. Club house needs up-dating and is now a restaurant only open certain hours. Truly no recreation other the pool, the miniature golf course is so old it is a disgrace why even advertise it. Pond is OK for kid fishing and play equipment need attention.     The only bright spot was the Restrooms which looked to have been remodeled with in the past few years. Gate Staff and Store Staff very friendly and helpful but maintenance staff is only concerned about riding around in golf-cart and smoking. Emerald Cove is a whole different story, first off there is a power problem with both 30&50 AMP hook-ups when ever the heat get over 95 degrees outside, power levels drop to under 100 volts which can damage your AC and other electoral equipment. Same thing happens in the winter as you can't run your electric heater because it draws to many AMPs. Why do you think that Solar System is only installed over Sales Office, Pool/Bar/Restaurant and Store Roofs. Breaker boxes have catch on fire due to low voltage which causes over heating of plug and wires. This is why you should have a volt meter to keep on eye on it the go to your generator when it falls below 110 volts. Yes dues are paid to keep up with up-keep and maintenance of systems . Forget about parking on the so-call mile beach as most spots go to those with preferential treatment who have their RV unites place in spots and show up days later and in some cases only for one day and there it sits until they are scheduled to leave then pulled out and in some cases with another that's pulled in it's place. Not to mention the Rental Trailers that also take up spots. This is something I have learned to except from CRA and have yet been able to be on the beach even being placed on a call list, spots become empty and no call then when you least except it there's an RV pulling in and I have asked those pulling in if they have just shown up and many have said yes and I just say, " your lucky enjoy your stay". One of there biggest rip-offs is charging 40 dollars to put your craft in the water at one time it was just 10 dollars each way which is a fair price but 40 dollars in and then again 40 dollars out is a rip-off. CRA knows how hard it is to back in you craft with a RV of any size so they take advantage of this. Trying to use the spa is a joke as there are so many unsupervised children running around the pool area which brings up following the rules which seems only applies to those who are not the preferential few which includes golf carts and razors. WIFI is only available in club house and pool area and with everyone trying to get on it's very poor connection.   Gate and Store Staff all depends on who is on duty on how your treated. Bar and Restaurant staff friendly because of the tip they are expecting. Getting into the other Properties would take up to much time and writing but will say this Havasu Spring RV camping park is a JOKE and will never stay there again and will say that you get more room at San Onofre State Beach Camping suits then CRA Havasu Springs RV camping. So be a-wear as they will say anything to get you to buy and more so when its time for card renewal time which seems to be every two years and they try and pitch their so-called new acquisitions which are RV parks that have been bought out by CRA then try and sell it to you as an up-grade at such a ridicules price its not funny. read more

If possible it would be a ZERO We bought a new Motor home and recieved a $1000.00 camping certificate and all we had to do is listen yo their presentaion... OMG They started calling us 2 days after we got back, finally after they offered us a $200 gas credit, free Android Tablet, and a free gift we decided to take a 3 hour drive to check it out thinking we could use the $1000.00 camping on our trip south next fall, wait a waste of time. Where do i start...... 1) salepeeson, what a rude SOB, during the presentaion and 2 videos he continually said "Please ask any questions" It was so funny the first video was on Their properties, the second video was supposedly on the "Coast to Coast" camping which you get with your membership. The funny thing was the pictures on both videos where the same properties, do they think people are that dumb. Then he took us to another room and broght out the "Coast to Coast" book flipped through it extremely fast with his text book Blah Blah Blah... "You can stay at any of these campgrounds Free!" "If your traveling across the contry you can stay free" I then i started asking questions nothing to bad just A) A friend has a membership from a different company, K&M Resorts, and they have never been able to use any of these campgrounds because they are always full and only have a limited number of spaces for these offered. HIS ANSWER: Thats because they aren't their members, they are Premier Members and always get a space. B) We Travel allot i would like to see the book again to see if there are campgrounds where we travel. HIS ANSWER: What state, he brings out the book asks me what state (I notice Montana only had i think 2 or 3 campgrounds) i said Montana, he when to Utah, then California, then Arizona... Never Montana. C) I told him that it would only make since for us if there where campgrounds where we travel. THATS WHEN he became EXTREMELY rude, "Well I can see your not interested in this great offer" I said you haven't even told us what it costs . "That doesn't matter because you're not interested " Thats when he dated and signed the "Gas voucher " threw it across and said "Fill this out and send it in and they will send yiu a check " (Lie) then he filled out the $1000.00 camping voucher and threw it across the table, then came the Cheap Tablet across the table. He got up and headed out the door with us still at the table. My wife and I looked at each other smiled and left thinking we are So Glad we didn't join this place. As for all the Free Stuff (NOT) Below is more detail 2) $200.00 Shell gas voucher, what a Joke, the top says "Its easy as 1,2,3,4!" ( NOT EVEN) to get this you have to 1st fill out the activation form, then you have to get "4 Dated Imprinted Shell gas receipts " 1st who has imprinted receipts anymore, 2nd they can only be a max of 50.00 each and they have to be 60 days apart and expires in 240 days, not possible. 3) The Tablet, some china made piece of junk. It doest somewhat work but its 7 inch and only has a camera on the front. Basically usless. 4) 3 day 2 nighr stay (our surprise free gift) well you have to make 2 reservation requests 30 days apart and send them money for the reservation. Once you stay then you can put i for a refund. Another Joke. 5) Well we thought we still have the $1000.00 camping we could use at one of their 8 resorts. WRONG AGAIN. The 1000.00 camping is only good at the place you had the presentaion and is only good for Monday thru thursday and you have to have 7 days between each stay! And as i stated above We where not impressed by the campground, dirty, small sites and if i pulled in here on a trip i would pull out and find another RV Resort to stay. We have been enjoying our membership for almost 5 years and have had very good experience with all of our stays at each of the parks. I really don't know where some of these people are writing bad reviews as we have not witnessed anything like what they are saying. Staff and fellow campers are friendly and enjoying themselves. I do wish they had more 50 amp spots though. Although the price to purchase might sound expensive, it certainly isn't for everyone but do the math and if you are full time especially and add on the coast to coast benefit especially it will end up saving you alot on your camping spot expenses. read more

The 2 times I've used my timeshare with this company, my family has had a great time however, dealing with the staff at their main office is at an all time low for customer experience! Getting a return call is next to impossible. I've had to send emails via the website in order to get return calls or leave messages threatening to go higher in the company. The girls in the office are extremely RUDE and snippy! I wish I never bought in to this strictly based on the customer service I've received! Ok, so we are members since 2015, I have more then given CRA a fair chance to convince me why I spent 8k and $400 a year? I have yet to have a positive experience at any of their parks. Where do I start? Rude employees at emerald cove, pissed off gate attendee at Lake Havasu, trying to book our free week cabin at Ghost Mountain only for them to tell us their full? The Great Pismo property? Good luck getting it???Then took our trailer to GM only to find every single cabin empty during the time we wanted to book? Was told that they have cleaning schedules that takes weeks to clean the cabins and that's why they were not available? Are you serious! No sewer hook ups at G mountain so it would be great to use the showers at the time they say there open? No consistency, sometimes open at 8 or 9am always closed early before 10. Just got our cabin on our free week?, propane heater in cabin has no controls does not work. Two small marginal space heaters, in the 30's at night(January) No Oven in the cabin, no gas BBQ, what are they doing with my money.??? bathroom ceiling has dry rot and hole in the plaster. Seriously CRA is a group of slum lords that take your money and basically provide zero services. Please do not sign up with this place,,,, you will regret it! Robert! I have had good and bad experiences with my membership at KQ Ranch which I purchased over 20 years ago. My adult children have stayed there most of the time in the past 5 years. I stayed there one time. The bunkbeds were hard as a rock. Our last experience was in Feb 2019. I had reserved the cabin in December for KQ Ranch then had to change to my adult daughter's name, who flew in from Georgia for her daughter's birthday. When she arrived at the campground at 8 p.m., after driving an hour through the rain, fog, and hail, she was told the reservation was at Emerald Cove. We have never made a reservation for Emerald Cove. On top of it, we never received an email so we could confirm the reservation was correct. When I called to follow up on this and spoke to Robin Jarvis, I was told it was my responsibility to call them if I don't receive the confirmation email. Really?? I didn't receive an email everytime I made a reservation in the past so I am supposed to know this? She told me she would take care of the $50 no show fee. Two invoices later, after multiple attempts to have Robin keep her word, she says she never said that. I guess I have to record my conversations with CRA staff in the future? I spoke to a reservation staff person named Cyndi who was very helpful and she received approval from someone named Debbie to take care of the $50 no show fee and helped me with my new reservation. There are some good people at CRA but there also are some who need a new job which doesn't involve customer service. read more

Really disappointed. We received a one year trail membership when we purchased our new RV. During our initial property tour visit to Emerald Cove in Earp CA, our sales rep was extremely rude and condescending to me and my husband. He refused to acknowledge any "gifts" we'd been told about over the phone (flat out called their reservation people liars) and wouldn't even give us the membership price because he "could tell we weren't interested " Unfortunately that was all it took for us to realize this wasn't the place for us. We were still excited to at least see the other parks CRA had to offer only to find out we can only visit the first park we selected. That was never communicated to me at all and I spoke with their reservation people numerous times to make sure I wasn't missing any fine print. I really cant help from laughing at the negative reviews. I have been a member for years and I have never been to a better campground. We joined because of the way you get treated at public campgrounds and no one gives a crap anymore about customer service. What do you expect when you planned to go for the free camping weekend with no intention on buying in as your just looking for something free you cheap ass. Every time I see a group and they way they let their kids have the run of the muck just pisses me off. I see these kids tearing up the place and I just hope to god these folks don't buy in. Watch your kids people and learn to treat other peoples property with respect and not the way you live in your own home. I'm here at KQ ranch and I made reservations for a camper and a cabin. Upon my arrival after a 3 hour trip I am told I can't have the cabin rental but will be charged because I made the reservation under my fathers name. My name is Hugh Franklin and my father is also Hugh Franklin so there was no malace involved. I am being told all of us have to stay in my camper which unreasonable for 10 people. We have invested time and money into this trip for our children only to have it spoiled. The head of reservation was horbbile and would not work me she was making it out to be my fault. My 7 month old was screening in the car from the 3 hour ride. Never again will I come to KQ and the thought of buying a RV time share is totally out. A week after purchasing our trailer, my husband started to receive calls from a Jessica who claims to have $1,000 cash plus $200 gas cards and an Android tablet for us. After several calls, I called the number and asked Jessica to stop calling us. She said (our RV dealer) has these gifts for you so we will just send back the $1600 in gifts back to (our RV Dealer). I told her I know they are a timeshare and she said no we are not a timeshare and these gifts are from (our RV Dealer). Been a member since day one. Oversold, and over crowded and trying to re-load existing memberships with new privileges for more money. Every RV park in the USA, Canada and Mexico encourages recreational Golf Cart use. Decorations, parades, rallys, safaris,,,, not at Emerald Cove. Here they bully you not to use yours. You will be harassed by the park if you do more than simply drive your cart to the store. These are Blue Hair rules created by the senior citizens along the river purely out of meanness. At night they open the discharge to near-by Stinky Links lagoon and fill it with raw sewage. You will most definitely smell it all night long. Strong and pungent. Murderously obnoxious thick odor that lasts for 10 hours,, every night. The fly problem at the club snack bar and bar is appalling. Thick with fly's like a third world meat market they warn you to avoid on cruises. 50 Amp service limited,, usually not available for the summer heat. In fact,, I'll stick my neck out and say it's not available. A scary bunch of slick hustlers run the sales dept and you will be taken to the cleaners. The whole premise of joining a resort like this is for economy. Well,, those days are over. They gouge you at every opportunity. The whole CRA company is for sale piece-meal,, and they are ripping off the member in the meantime. Grab your wallet. 5 star reviews are from one and done slick company sales managers. Well we received a card in the mail to visit KQ Ranch in Cuyamaca. We were greeted by the front gate person who directed us to the sale office. I've been to a few presentations (time share Ect...). I always judge the DEAL by how they present their selves, sales office, and their product. Some of these presentations offer a product you can't verify what you're getting. Pushy salesman with titles added to their names which they tend to be the expert on the product, try to shove their product down your throat with a bit of honey. And most of these deals you can find on your own, without buying expensive contracts and paying an outrageous yearly maintenance fee. But I liked the campground at KQ Ranch, the meeting room, restrooms, camping spots, showers were clean and well maintained. Their were some camping spots that had majestic views. They had satelite cable connections, WiFi, horse facility, all hookups, game room, tennis, and fishing. Dogs and pets are welcome. Our host Jerry was well mannered, wasn't over aggressive, it was a cold day and he drove us around the facility in his own heated truck. This camp ground has a lot to offer people and their families. Overall, we did not have the best experience, but we didn't have a horrible one either. If you camp/RV just a few times a year, it may not be cost effective. But if this is your lifestyle and you see yourself camping/RV'ing a lot, then this could definitely be for you. We expected a lot more, and weren't terribly impressed. But then again, this opinion is of course, subjective. The Clubhouse is moderately sized. At one end you have sitting areas with a few leather couches that face a large flat screen T.V. with a pool table nearby. The other half of the clubhouse is the dining area, with doors that lead to an enclosed covered patio area next to the pool. The Country Store: is on the small side; however it does have all those last minute items you may have left at home, and priced inexpensively. 7 lbs bags of ice can be purchased as well. You also rent out a lot of the sports equipment from the store. Be sure to have a photo i.d. of some kind. The Swimming Pool: Large, clean, and well-maintained. Ask them about their winter policy on pool usage. The Stocked Fishing Lake: should be called a pond. Catch 'n' release policy. The Personal Horse Corrals: were available and scattered around the resort. The Miniature Golf Course: is indeed miniature. If you are thinking Boomer's or Skandia, stop thinking that. It's much like someone built their own course in their back yard; very basic. But the smaller kids may get a kick out of it. The Horseshoe Pits: were well maintained, but empty, no one was playing. The Lighted Tennis Courts and Basketball Court: were in decent condition and well maintained. Many people were playing tennis and basketball while we were there. The Playground: consists of what you see on their home page. A swing set is located off to the side. There is LOTS of room for kids to run around. Let's face it - we want those little suckers to run like crazy so they will go to sleep earlier than normal so the grown-ups can relax. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner: was provided. Breakfast $4, Dinner $8. Wasn't there for lunch, so don't know pricing or quality. Food was pretty good for the price. Year Round Storage: They had a lot of available spaces. Secure Home-like environment: It's a fair claim. You do have a more secure feeling here then if you were in a public location. OTHER THINGS YOU WANT TO KNOW: Electrical outlets are for RV's. For those without RV's, electrical plugs aren't available unless you have a converter so you can plug in your normal plugs (chargers for cell phones, mp3 players, TVs, blow dryers, etc). Phone Reception: Cell reception is not a problem. If you have a laptop, you can obtain the satellite coordinates from someone in the clubhouse or Country Store. Campfires: Fires must be in a contained unit, off the ground & must have some kind of cover or dome. If it is windy, open fires are prohibited. Bring a portable fire pit. The Campsite locations: Mostly loose rocks, with some dirt. There is a wooden camp table, and a freestanding grill for charcoal grilling at each location. Remember, others may not clean it, so bring your own cleaning tools, tin foil and lighter fluid. Many of the sites are on an incline, so be sure to ask for a site that has a flat surface if you have a tent. The Bugs: Bring bug spray and citronella candles, or skin-so-soft lotion by Avon. The Roads: In my opinion, these are in terrible condition & have narrow badly maintained roads. If you have existing shock issues with car, get them fixed first. The Bicyclists: Just be aware that there may be MANY children riding bikes, so when you come up to a corner just be aware that they may zip out in front of you. Your Fellow Campers: Great experience with fellow campers. No rude or disorderly people were anywhere close to us. Smoking: Smoking was allowed throughout the campgrounds, but not in any of the buildings. Just use common sense and make sure your cigarette is out, and thrown into a safe disposal container, not onto the ground. The SALES PITCH: We won a free camping trip to KQ Ranch when at the 2010 Sand Show in OC. One of the first things we were told is that it is not a timeshare but a license agreement. They sell it as a multi-generational agreement. You purchase it, but it can be passed on to your children. You have the cost of the membership, plus the annual maintenance fee. They do require a deposit up front, but this deposit can be broken down into monthly payments over 6 months. Once that is paid, you then start to pay your maintenance fees (roughly $436 +/- a annually). You pick how you pay it. There are many questions to ask about this, do your homework and make sure it is right for you. For my family, it was not worth the expense. That's not a slam to CRA, just a statement of fact that it wasn't compatible for us. If you have questions, ask me. I only have my experience at the KQ Resort in Julian. read more

There is a reason this place only has a one star. They are the rudest people I have ever met the guy Ethan talked over me then hung up on me like I was in significant. Not the way to do business. I am really glad I seen their true colors before I visited them I dodged a bullet there thank you Ethan for not letting me waste my time and for hanging up on me. I would recommend any dealer should cut ties and every customer should run. These people are the worst. Just read the reviews it is nothing new. Been the same way for years. The management should fire Ethan first then the rest of the sales department. And start over. As a manger myself there is some coaching needed to make this place better and it starts at the top. Don't buy in. The parks never have 50 amp, always away from main attractions, usually run down parks. Fees go up every year. You can buy into different groups much easier. read more

I received a call asking if we would like to stay at Lake Havasu or Emerald Cove. I chose Emerald Cove because it is right on the river and"thought" they would have a common area where we could hang out along the river. There is camping along the river for members only but no beach area for those who are camping elsewhere in the campground. We arrived shortly after 5 pm on Friday of the Memorial Day weekend and had a short wait. We were escorted to our site but it was already occupied so they put us a couple of sites over in spot 502. We were given a premium site with plenty of length for our fifth wheel. The electric amperage was low enough to turn off our power to avoid brown out effects on our appliances. Out of all the parks we've stayed in throughout the United States that had not happened until here. No WiFi signal at sites. Only available at tiki bar and clubhouse. Putt putt was free. They have 2 billiard tables covered and not in use at the clubhouse. No cues or balls to play or signs Instructions to tell you where to get use of these items. The place is pretty run down. The clientele are not what we would consider resort. It is more a river rat crowd with big loud toys and rude guests who walk right through your campsite. Lots of partiers and families. Pool and tiki bar were ok and food and store prices are fair. No watercraft rentals. No tv stations available. No cable. During sales pitch we weren't even asked about our stay or if we liked what we saw so far. When we explained that we weren't retiring for a few years and not interested in the membership we were asked if we wanted the tour and I said no. We were told if we didn't buy today that the $10### membership fee would cost us $16,###. Sales pitch stopped and we were given the free gifts as promised. No regrets just not for us. We would rather do municipal parks. read more

i had the worst customer service experience of my adult life this afternoon from their membership line . My inlaws are dues paying members and my wife and I are adult child members on the account , we are planning a family trip and bringing some friends along and needing additional spaces to reserve .. the rude customer service rep who answered was not only short to us but talked down to us when we were asking questions I then took over the conversation and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no I could not since I was a child member and hung up on me ... I then called back and got the same person and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told once again no I cannot they all leave at 4pm and why did I want to talk to a supervisor.. I began telling her that I wanted to speak to some one to complain about their horrible customer service and wanted to speak to the highest level supervisor their organization has she laughed and said I will never talk to them so I asked to speak to what ever level supervisor I can talk to so she transferred me to some one named Robin and I left a voice mail for her which I don't have high hopes on getting a call back on , but we will see what happens . The sad thing is we were thinking about getting our own membership and I'm sure after our guests experiences the joy and convince of emerald cove they to would have purchased their own membership, but thanks to crap customer service they have lost me and possible future customers read more
