What a cute little shop we didn't get to try the ice-cream as they were out. We tried the Oreo cheesecake cupcake "rich, moist and so good" and the carrot cake would have been my favorite, but the cake itself was a bit dry. I've visited this location twice and want to like it, but it is a little lacking. A single cupcake will set you back ~$7. They are big, and have interesting flavor combinations with tasty icing. The signs around the store really make you expect more, and that's where it's a bit disappointing. The advertise soft serve, and while there is a machine, it does not appear to be functional, or maybe it's just not in use. Either way... there is not ice cream. There's a cute little vending machine with a lot of pink princessy goodies, but it doesn't work. They only have bottled drinks, and a kind of weird selection. And the staff really aren't interested in the product - they ask what you want, but don't really offer suggestions or do anything other than stand behind the counter. Really great service, with amazing employees! I ordered a confetti cupcake for my daughter's birthday and it was a huge hit! Store is well kept and clean, only downside is that the law changed so they can no longer sell ice cream for the time being so it is just cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and rice crispy treats. Years ago I used to go to the downtown location when they first opened and the cupcakes were actually good. The quality has really gone down based on my experience at this location. Sure, there are a lot of cupcake flavor options that'll get you excited and perhaps confused on what to order, but don't expect any help from staff on deciding what to order. Finally settling on a confetti cupcake, I paid my $5 and got ready to enjoy a sweet treat. Sadly, the cake was dry, not like a typical soft moist cupcake should be. The pound of frosting on top is just for fluff. It was a bit hard (as if it sat out and dried up) and not like the typical smooth frosting you want to eat. There are no vegan options. Not sure if it's the recipe or the cupcakes sold are old. They sell a few cookies that are also $5 or 2 for $7. None really looked appetizing. The 'everything cookie' seems like a hodgepodge of 'let's throw a bit of chocolate in here' approach. So it's m&ms, choc chips, peanut butter cups, pretzels, etc. Way too much going on! Also, none of the cookies have descriptions on what are in them. The cashiers just wait there for you to pick. How about a smile and asking if I have questions or making suggestions (especially since I did mention it's my first time here)? The decor, albeit meant to be cute seems a little tacky with plastic chairs. Perhaps it's a way to distract from the dry cupcakes. (Loved the former pink sofa they had downtown, which gave it a more classy princess vibe.) The gum-ball display is ok and adds an element of color for photo opps. The sparkling floor is nice. Finally, I wanted to get another cupcake and needed some silverware too. I waited by the counter for a long time and no one ever came out. I literally had to open and close the door just for a bell to ring on the door and alert staff of my presence. Pretty annoying for someone in a hurry. Located in a small strip center, you can find free parking (unlike downtown). No restroom. Overall, not worth a stop given the quality of cupcakes gone downhill. read more

Gluten-free Samoa cupcakes & gluten-free Turtle cupcakes were as delicious as they sound! Moist, rich, and taste just like their names! It's so rare to find gluten-free desserts that aren't just vanilla or chocolate. The worker was very nice & the ambiance was adorable! A significant portion of the cupcake's size was due to an excessive amount of frosting, which I found to be inedible. Beneath the frosting, the actual cake did not meet my expectations either. It had a peculiar texture that didn't quite hit the mark for me, and the flavor was unexpectedly salty. Overall, the cupcakes did not live up to the hype. This was my second time trying them out. We've been to the one downtown and although that one falls short a lot of the time, we figured we'd try this one. The banana walnut cupcake is delicious. Pretty moist and has good flavor. We got the Oreo cupcake and the double chocolate and man, was that a mistake. The chocolate cake is SUUUPER dry. I mean, super dry. Also, I swear they must use boxed cake mix and frosting. The frosting looks sloppy and definitely not well manicured. For $5 per cupcake, I would expect homemade. I love supporting local also, but I will not return to either location. I just can't. I went to this bakery Saturday night for my dads bday to pick up some last minute cupcakes and I was telling the nice woman at the front desk that I wish I would of came sooner so I could get the peanut butter cup cupcakes because that's my dads favorite and without hesitation the front desk employee asked if I had 5 minutes so she can go and make me one! Cupcakes were a huge disappointment! I was very excited to place my order and had it delivered via Uber eats. It was $45 for six cupcakes with delivery and tip. A bit pricey but it was for a special birthday occasion so well worth it. I received the box, the box was beautiful they even had a hand written note on the outside. I open the box and the cupcakes were decorated and a spectacular way and looked scrumptious! Then the disappointment came. Four of the 6 cupcakes were chocolate cake-based all were dry the sawdust and tasted like they went stale over a week ago. It was rockhard! One cupcake was a strawberry cupcake it was average at best and then there was a white cupcake the dead taste fresh and moist and had delicious icing. Out of the entire box only two of the six cupcakes were edible and only one actually tasted decent. I'm not sure how cupcakes could be their business and they could taste this awful. I've Travel to USA and been to many cupcake shops in major cities and small towns. This surprisingly is the worst I have ever had. I'm shocked. So cute and so yummy! I have been going to their new cafe downtown and was on the west side to visit family and to my surprise there was a Colossal Cupcakes right on great northern Blvd so I decided to stop in and grab cupcakes to take to the fam! The coolest thing is that it's the same brand and fun pick style but with a more young fun and child like vibe. It's a instagram dream as it has the coolest neons signs, chairs, and an amazing wall full of gumball machines, you have to see it! They had a huge selection, way bigger than the cafe, of cupcakes. I would say there was at least 30 full trays of different flavors as well as an entire long row on the bottom of their display of their cookies. Very happy to see it there was consistency with their other stores and quality. These days restaurants seem to be cutting corners and it's always such a disappointment but Colossal Cupcakes kept their quality and of course colossal portion to 5 star experience. The owners mother in law was helping her out and was the sweetest lady! She offered let me know their was a dozen deal that actually saved me money and included free cupcakes which she didn't have to mention.
